Come on, your thread title sucks. How about a little effort?

Anyhow, it's good you knew this belonged in the newbie forum, but honestly, you need to spend some time reading the forum before posting anything. Or pick up Roosh's book.

The wisdom of not taking a girl to a movie on a first date is such an ingrained piece of forum convention that you even mentioning it like it's some original revelation makes it clear you're making posts with zero exposure to the vast amount of knowledge here.

You'll get far more value out just digging in and doing some reading than you could ever get posting a basic question like this and waiting for responses.

You're grounded - cut yourself off from the posting feature.

Grab a notebook and a pen and dig in. Check back when you're a little more caught up.

Then you'll be in a far better position to actually learn something from the game vets here.

To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling

First date: A few "quick drinks" in a quiet bar.

If she shows promise you can bounce to a eatery for a meal.

If shes crap you can bail after half an hour.

No movies until the fiftieth date, you've already banged and you want an hour off her listening to her rave on.

Think of a "date" as a series of vignettes, with each piece providing a different edge or angle to the day/night. Each vignette should be planned for 45-90 minutes, with the opportunity at the end to either continue on or cut the date short. Also read Bang, it discusses this in detail. A typical good date for me involves ~4 location bounces: drink->ice cream->drink->my car->her place. A date that just doesn't take off is a 45- or 90-minute investment, since you can cut out at any of the bounces.
