Hollywood has been getting used to seeing 100 pound women kicking around elite soldiers like puppets, so of course seeing reality depicted for real in those tough situations.
That is why they love the Star Wars and the Mary Sues - those superwomen doing everything that a man does, but better.

Just finished watching it. The first part of the movie was more gripping to me since it wasn't really overly clear what was going on and the border scene was tense. After all that, the rest just kinda became old hat to me.

I thought the movie was ok. Not great. I found it kind of boring. But I did like the potrayal of the Mexican drug war that is sadly still going on.

I didn’t like the shitty sound editing. Aside from that, it wasn’t so much seeing her getting shoved around that I enjoyed. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice to see what really happens when 100lb women try to play the tough guy. What I enjoyed was seeing her bullshit feminist indoctrination and idealism shattered. Girls are just as tough as men. Gets body slammed with one arm while her white knight is restrained. Constantly complaining about the legality of their actions. Signs off saying it was by the book.
You know after the final scene, she cried in the fetal position for a few minutes. And once she regained her composure, she masturbated furiously to the thought of being made airtight by Brolin, del toro, and the delta operator who put a gun to her white knight’s head.
In real life, you’re a low level field agent with 5 years in, and you spend your days kicking in doors with local swat teams, and a crew from the CIA comes knocking on your door, and you’re gonna jump in with no questions asked. That’s how an average mundane career gets you on the short list for advancement.

Loved Sicario, can't wait for the sequel. Sicario is one of my favorite films and it is definitely a "guy's film." Unsurprisingly my wife didn't like it, it wasn't a move that catered to females. Similar to "Goodfellas" in being a guy's film (a top 4 or 5 film of all time in my opinion) and my wife also didn't like and didn't understand it.

Just saw an ad on TV for the Sicario sequel, to be released June 29. Del Toro and Brolin, no Blunt, but instead Catherine Keener (WTF?!) as the female lead. Also, completely missing from the sneak peeks I saw months ago, the plot now seems to revolve around Del Toro rescuing and protecting some little Mexican girl...
I was holding out high hopes for this one. Looks like I'll be disappointed, yet again.

I didn't know who that was, I looked her up, at 59 she needs to be put out to pasture.
Not like I expected Blunt to be back in the sequel but could we at least get a semi bangable chick to replace her. Maybe Ana De Armas or something.
Maybe she's holding a lot of Weinstein credits - it could be like a new Hollywood currency. After all, I'm not sure she went from Seinfeld side-piece to mainstream Hollywood on her acting talents alone.

Sicario is awesome...I even had a chat about this movie with a guy that grew up in Mexico and he agrees that Sicario is one of the movies that gets really close to what really happens between CIA, the cartels and deliberate killings to those who try to interfere.
Sicario 2, I am sure will be a good one too!
Benicio Del Toro is pure class!
