Do You believe in Satan?

Yes I believe in Satan, I believe he is the enemy, he is everywhere and if you let your guard down and stop maintaining you'll fall prey to temptation and evil.

Yes real satan exists but dissociate it from Satan wannabes who just are acting satanist "to look cool".

Actually there is much more path leading to Satan in this world (self destruction, narcissism, self centeredness mentality) so man have to be careful.

The new trend is to think that we are living in a Matrix, which is not that crazy. Therefore God / Satan would be the "programmers".

And you got that right. See my post on the previous page. Although that is not simulation in classical sense we think of when someone mentions that word.

Any religion that says things like "You will burn forever in Hell if you don't follow the rules" are bullshit.

This means we should live like slaves, can't decide our own path in life and aren't allowed to make mistakes. Religions that came up with this crap are created/corrupted for political reasons to control the masses. Why would you give people a free will if you want them to be slaves? It doesn't make any sense.

If 'God' is equal to 'love' then He wouldn't torture people for eternity in a place like Hell. Eastern religions don't know this concept. Only Semitic/Abrahamic religions know the concept of eternal Hell fire.

It's an old saying but a appropriate one:

"You may not believe in the devil; but he believes in you."

Do You believe in Satan?

From when I was a teenager to today, the amount of things in the world that are making people less attractive, less fertile, less physically strong, less spiritual, less smart, and having less children have all exploded.

At the same time things that make people more medicated, more addicted, more distracted, more materialistic, more weak, more manipulated, more greedy, and more selfish have also all exploded.

At this moment in time it definitely seems that satan (or things that can be interpreted as satanic) has reached almost global control. Science itself has become a kind of satanic religion, and scientists are the new godless priests that we are supposed to trust without being able to verify the things they say.

During the last weeks of the 2016 US election, many of here were shocked by links that emerged between the politicians, celebrities and elites to the Marina Abramovic (spirit cooking) and John Podesta (pizzagate). Many in the Trump thread starting posting images or messages with prayers and/or religious themes as we felt we were fighting with evil itself. Trump himself referred to Hillary Clinton as "the devil" on at least 2 separate occasions. While I don't believe that any 1 human alive is the devil, I do believe that people can be blinded, or possessed, or lead, by demons without even knowing it. Many also do know it, and are more than willing to be lead.

The majority of people who control the world and the "official" narratives (movies, music, pop culture mass media) definitely do everything to promote laws, values and ideas that are both destructive to the family and to healthy stable relationships that produce healthy, strong, smart and sane children.

At the moment, I see an overwhelming amount of evidence for the existence of satan.

I see very little evidence for God at the moment, except for maybe helping get Trump elected president.

If God is there, I do hope he can give us a bit more signs or clear messages that all is not lost, and things can still be turned around to stop this worldwide destruction.

As a single entity? No. the Bible shows way too many conflicting images. In Job he is basically God's drinking buddy.

Satan: "Betcha I can make Job curse you."

God: "Hold my beer and watch this."

In Genesis, the serpent is identified with Satan, though never explicitly stated. In Revelation it is the Beast, or the Dragon, or both.

In other parts, he roams free, in others he is bound in the lake of fire. Satan literally means opponent, so perhaps there are many Satans that got all mixed up into one along the way.

Satan is merely a symbolic representation of man's material self, ego consciousness. I would argue that the Abrahamic God is one and the same, ruler of the material world.

your first statement isn't far off, definitely part of who that is

I have no idea how you then bounce to the second statement, it doesn't make sense on several levels, with definitions used classically

Gnostic Christians (the majority until proto-orthodoxy gained state support in Rome) believes the same thing. Satan and Yahweh were "The Demiurge," creator of the material world and thus evil. Jesus was purifying spirit incarnate in a man, reaching out to other pure spirits to shed their physical forms.

Or so they thought, anyway.

Satan as in a literal red guy with a pitchfork? No.

Satan as in the source of destruction and chaos in the universe, yes.

The notion of God being related to the forces in the universe which lead to creation and evolution, and a devil being related to the forces which lead to destruction seem to tie in well with science and physics as well.

In quantum physics for example, there is a strong and a weak force; the strong force is what keeps the nucleus of atoms together, while the weak force tries to rip the nuclei of atoms apart.

I still don't comprehend the idea of a 'sacrifice' (of Jesus) being necessary to save humanity. If God created the universe, who was the arbiter deciding
A) A sacrifice is needed
B) What is the price needing to be paid

God could've just as easily 'saved' everyone without a sacrifice, as he is the one in control anyways. It seems like a massive guilt-tripping mechanism.

There are plenty of atheists who are pretend-Satanists mostly to troll Christians. In practice they really do seem to be playing the part of the devil.

I think it's easier to believe in the existence of Satan than God. Because God is elusive and hidden from us, but evil hits you right in the face and demands an explanation.

I was trying to figure out where to drop this post, but this spot seems appropriate.

Christians should really lean on on anti-semetism when dealing with SJWs and atheists. We read from the same books. For example

atheist "yeah, I'm not going to worship some guy that supposedly turned water into wine, christianity is a joke and is ruining our country"

Christian "the bible is pretty hard to believe isn't it, I mean, the old testament is where the real 'game of thrones' epic fantasy events take place. God making women from a rib? Noah riding out an earth destroying flood, god raining molten fireballs on sodom and gommoroah"

atheist "thats what I mean, there is no way that happened, there would be archeological evidence at least, how can christians be so dumb to believe it"

Christian "Yeah those dumb jews..."

atheist 'whaaaat...I didn't say anything about jews'

Christian "yes you did, a scholar like yourself would know that the first 5 books of the bible are what jews call 'the torah', if christians are dumb to believe it, then so are the jews. It makes total sense why a Nazi like yourself would hate Christians and jews alike for their belief in God"

Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Psalm 2:1 KJV

Satan is a fairy tale. I say this with full confidence that if there were a Satan, he would be pissed off about this statement and come get me. I have no fear of some fairy in the sky nor of some fairy in some make-believe Hell.

If you're spending your time worrying about sky fairies, then you're wasting your life on nonsense.

Why do you have full confidence in something so absurd? If there was a Satan, why would he care about you or what you say?

I mean really, as a thought experiment.

If there was a Satan, wouldn't it benefit him when people didn't believe in him, in the same way that it benefits the elite to be invisible?

Get mad at each other, get mad at the elected officials. Have no idea who rules you.

If this works for those in power, wouldn't work the same for spiritual entities?

Your statements aren't internally consistent.

Believe that Satan is a fairy tale.

Fine.

But if he is a fairy tale, how can you be completely confident of his nature?

Fairy tales don't have a nature.

And even if they did, what about you would matter to them that they would come and get you?

Who are you that they should care?

Satan doesn't "get anyone" in that way. He either posseses people to do things that further his causes without them realising they are even doing that, or he slowly tortures people. He can torture you in various ways, like making it impossible to find a good girlfriend or wife, or by constantly getting you addicted to bad habits which you can never break, keeping you in a constant state of confusion on various topics, or by keeping you in a state of fear or worry, like with phobias.

Satan' main goals are to destroy God's plans. He does this by:

1. Making sure people don't believe in the value of religions, morals or benevolent gods.
2. Making sure people don't reproduce with healthy children and stable families.
3. Making sure your life is spent pursuing material and/or selfish goals.
4. Keeping you under his control by weakening your health and willpower and optimism and providing contradictory information to keep you in confusion.
5. Keeping himself hidden by ensuring no one believes he even exists.

Satan operates in the shadows. Once you recognise his methods and tricks you will see him everywhere and will hopefully reject all he stands for.
