Regrowth- 100 approach thread

Hi, I’m getting back into life after 2 years of break. I had a near death accident which sent me far backwards in every manner. But, I survived and can still walk and talk, so it’s all right. To be honest, it was quite discouraging but I know people who are worse off. As long as I’m still breathing I can make things happen.

My program:
A) Getting back to physical health
I was big into fitness before and loved it. While I was no Schwarzengger, I was in shape. I’ve got a gym membership again and taking it step by step.

I used to cook healthy meals and enjoyed trying new recipes. I made a tomato and bell pepper salad today for dinner, had some hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and some homemade chicken broth. My cooking skills have atrophied as well, but its a good start.

B) Re-engaging my mind
I got into volunteering and am taking some classes now. It takes a lot of time and effort to relearn things, but I recently passed my first exam. Volunteering is amazing and its good to feel useful and competent again. I guess I still have some intellect left in that head of mine.

I’ve moved to a new city for school, so I’m building a social network again. I go to some meet-ups every week. I haven’t made any solid friendships yet, but I’m meeting new people every week and trying new groups out.

C) Meeting Girls

Before, I was at the peak of my abilities and was doing approaches with ease. My buddy and I would have fun going out and meeting new girls, double dates, etc.

Well, after such a long break I was surprised to find I had massive approach apathy along with anxiety. I kept thinking: “At my level today, it’ll take me months just to get a date.”
Well, I built myself up before so I can do it again....and that’s where this thread comes in.

Every day, I’ll be doing 15+ minutes of meditation to keep myself calm and focused.

I’m heading out tomorrow to buy some new t-shirts during which time I’ll run some game.
I will maintain a steady mindset: one day at a time, I’m improving my skills and myself.
