Is this a parody, or is this a serious ad?

I was wondering the same thing. Either way the people that made that commercial at least have a sense of humor and don't seem to be taking it too seriously.

With a nosediving birth rate—in 2012, Danish women were having 1.73 births each—Denmark is searching for increasingly unorthodox methods to encourage a baby boom. The Scandinavian country is technically not behind the ad—travel company Spies Travels is—but Denmark isn’t exactly against the ad either.

Ha ha that was brilliant, it felt serious until you saw it was an advert for a holiday saying 'guaranteed grandchild in 9 months'.

Theres's actually a current government founded campaign to advise young people to get children while studying: http://www.dr.dk/levnu/parforhold/ny-kam...du-laeser.
It's founded by the Copenhagen Municipality, and it's a social media and poster campaign i think.
On the 10th of october there is going to be a debate program called "Bang for Denmark". It's on the public service channel number one DR1: https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/debat/knald-for-danmark
In Denmark, infertilityy is acknowledged as a disease, and you can get free fertiity treatment. That's how my fat co-workers in the late 30's and start 40's get pregnant at least.
At least there is some awareness on this major problem.
