How the hell do you all have time for this?

It's said that it has the merit of keeping you connected to people you would've been out of touch with in life, but I disagree with that "merit" because, to me, if you needed Facebook to keep in contact with someone, then the cold hard fact is they aren't in your life anymore.

And no amount of Farmville requests will change that.

I have Facebook, but it does me no good and it's a huge waste of time.

And has anyone else experienced this phenomenon where you fuck a girl and the next day Facebook digs her out and suggests her as a friend, like it somehow knows? Because that's happened twice in a row to me already.

Agreed. These types of low value junk-musings don't merit their own threads.

You have to want it bad enough and have the drive and discipline to push yourself through the some of the most difficult trials of your life. Lazy, unmotivated, closed-minded men will never be cut out for the level of self-improvement necessary to change oneself. The rest just starts to fall into place naturally after that.

When it comes to women, I think it's better to communicate with past bangs by email for a few reasons:
- they'll need to think about what they're writing rather than just reply in short bursts. That makes them feel more emotionally invested
- you can better control and target the information you provide to each girl
- makes you sand out from the 100 hungry betas on their Face Book.

I'm not being critical here and am genuinely curious when I ask, is there any reason to use Facebook? I apparently created an account back in 2008 or something and have never once signed on. It just seems like I would be setting myself up for way too many headaches by using it.

I don't see any reason myself, but that fits with my personality. I don't really value having a lot of friends and would prefer to keep my inner circle small but very close.
Some people are more outgoing and value having a lot of friends and acquaintances. Maintaining those connections in today's world is probably difficult without Face Book, because it's what most people use to communicate these days. It has replaced gossip ('the grapevine') for many people.

I'll admit that I do have an account, but it's registered under a fake name and burner email address, and I don't have any 'friends', photos or other personal details on the site. It's useful for a few things:
- background checks on potential LTRs. There have been incidents where my slut radar has been off. Sometimes you have to be logged in to view someone's photos and posts.
- Friends sometimes send me links to their FaceBook albums and I have to be signed in to view them.
- Was able to find that a friend had passed away. I probably would have found out eventually anyway, but it did make the process a lot easier. I couldn't just call because he travels a lot and doesn't have a constant number - email was his primary way of communicating. I admit this is a fringe usage case.

It probably scrapes your phone number (and maybe text messages) from her phone, What's App and similar services. Even if there isn't a hard link between your number and profile, Face Book can figure it out through your friends' contact lists. For example: your number isn't linked to your account, but a friend may have your number recorded against a contact labelled "Tex Alpha" in his phone. Face Book can read his contact list and then figure out that the Tex Alpha in his phone's contact list is the same Tex Alpha in his FaceBook contact list. At that point they have the required information to link your name, phone number and FaceBook profile. My guess is that they can make such a connection for at least 90% of people under 50 years of age in the US, UK and similar countries. Even if you haven't ever used the site, they probably have enough information to link your name and number.
Through deduction, they can probably also name/identify most people in photos with reasonable certainty, even those who haven't used the site. The only way to avoid that is to refuse to have your photo taken with cameras that you don't control.

So if you have a profile, make sure your privacy settings are locked down so that non-friends can't see your contacts, photos, posts, etc. Some others on the forum have also mentioned using fake names and burner numbers for girls. It's annoying to carry two phones, but probably worth it if you're engaging in 'pump and dump' or anything else that may bring out a woman's inner insanity.

I just read what I'm interested in when I think to check the forum. Sometimes I go months in between. I'm 41 and (re)married, and so most of the game threads don't do much for me other than helping me do a better job with my second wife than I did with my first one. I tend to check into the books and intellectual type threads, and humor. Just do what you can, when you can, when it interests you.

Exactly what I say to people who "can't" fit something important into their lives.

Well, My reply after my 3 day suspension for dumb threads.(Not intentionally dumb btw...) First, thanks all for the patience with me and my newness... Dave, I appreciate your responses, as well as the one from GMAC... I like what General Stalin wrote also. " Everyone makes time for what they want." I have never thought of it that way.

To Svoboda... No, as of yet, sailing has not gotten me any women. Although I have only been doing it only for one season, and in DC.

Two of the tougher things I did in life I had to go through were doing grad school and learning to play a musical instrument from scratch well enough to play in a band, record at studio, and play live both at the same time while doing a paid internship.

This took a lot of late nights, Saturdays, Sundays no vacations, coffee at 10:30PM to push for another 90 minutes of study or practice. Study 20 hours for an exam over 3 days while working part time, going to class, practicing a new set for a show directly after the exam. A ton of consistent pressure on myself.

Not much chasing ass other than online and barely any partying or going to bars.

I know there are guys that can work hard and play hard.

I think this is rare and those guys don't consciously admit it, but they have a huge energy engine that drives them or they get bored. They also enjoy the accomplishment of hard work much much more than most people. Their brain gives them a bigger dopamine hit just for washing the dishes or waking up at 6:30 for that early morning jog etc. than the average person.

I think most people that struggle with doing everything they want don't have this innate drive and never will. I wanted both grad school and that band badly. Did it come easy any day? No, it didn't come easy any day. I had to push every day and I don't think I will want anything as bad for the rest of my life.

It was stressful. It took a toll on my body. For those without that innate engine and drive and easy dopamine hits from small achievements you need to sacrifice BIG TIME compared to what you are used to. It will feel like shit the vast majority of the time except for those breakthrough milestone moments. I still after experiencing working that hard for consecutive years really don't understand how people function like that for a lifetime or decades. Maybe I wasn't working smart enough, but the highs from breakthrough moments I still question if they were worth the grinding for the rest of the time. Maybe if I did that all over again now older and wiser I would handle it better.

Your brain will hurt, you will be tired often, you won't be nearly as socialable, you won't have time to day dream. For a few this is a small price to pay, for most though this is a big price that is why few accomplish it.

Все понятно, я свободно говорю по-русски. Тоже хочу водить танк, а возможности нет. Ты русский?

For those who don't speak Russian, I wrote: All clear; I can speak Russian. I want to drive a tank too, but it isn't possible. Are you Russian?

Guys, a little out of context, but all this talk remind me of an anedocte that I was told a while ago.

There was once a frenchman, a german and a russian, and they where asked the following questions.

In your daily life, what car/model do you use to commute to job/work?

French: I use a small utilitaire, a renault is good enough.

German: Yes, I also use a small VW polo.

Russian: Well, I normally use public transport, a mashrutka is more than enough.

When going on vacations since more space for luggage and family members/ friends is needed, wich car do you use.

French: On these occasions I pick my comfortable and safe Peugeot.

German: I go in my elegant and fast Mercedes-Benz

Russian: Vacations? With friends in far away lands? Well, normally I do not have them, but last time I went in a Tank.

As a source for red-pill info, this site is tops. And the truth is what most seek here. The sooner you digest the truth - and there will be a few years of indigestion testing it in disbelief or blind faith - the better off your entire life may be, depending on what you do with it. << There is no "degree" in red-pill or neomasculinity, just personal growth, and it needs to be a balanced growth.

However, an idle mind is the devil's playground, but moreover, learning things here and not applying it with action, just delays the inevitable and changes nothing. In that sense, living on this site will do you no good and become a crutch.

Living a lie isn't living, it's acting on someone else's behalf. IDGAF if someone tells me they're "busy," it's the busy doing WHAT and WHY that matters. All that "busyness" can be for nothing ESPECIALLY if you get mixed up with the wrong women. It hit me in waves, multiple epiphanies, the first few years I discovered many other people actually noticed the same shit I did re. game, women, society, life. I was pointed in the right direction, but this site helped refine it by providing a consortium of advice by their rote learning experiences.
