I searched the forum and no mention of Hurricane Joaquin - already up to a Cat 4 with 130mph sustained winds - over Bahamas getting pummeled right now - Florida looks like it is doging the bullet - the main US Model might track a possible hurricane Sandy northeast landfall - of course the "spaghetti models" hurricane tracks are all over the place the main Euro model shows it tracking out to sea over Bermuda so any one on the North East US seaboard should take basic precautions and plan accordingly.

As of this morning, it's expected to turn far to the east. Might hit New England. I'm in Northern Virginia, which is under the warning area. We'll see what happens. If it does hit this weekend, I made sure to have enough beer on hand to get through it.

So where I live, we were told that Joaquin was going to be the next hurricane Sandy. We got a decent amount of rain but that was it.
