Basically, the thesis is that blood sugar problems are at the centre of many modern ills. Many forms of mental illness, including depression and rage, and more obviously overweight and obesity. Honestly, if a drug company really wants to make money they should look to develop a simple pill that can stabilise blood sugar easily and with very moderate side effects. Something much simpler than insulin. It is potentially a solution to many maladies, and therefore would have great commercial value.

Will probably be attending a full day conference/lectures slightly touching on these matters in around two weeks time. Well, definitely the link between blood sugar and overweight/obesity. Some well known and respected researchers and doctors giving lectures. Will see if I can draw them out on the link between blood sugar and mental health. I know at least two will have strong opinions. Not sure they will voice them in a public lecture though.

Like most things, mother nature provides us with this, it's called Chromium.

At least in America there is evidence to support your argument, as up to 90% of American diets are low in chromium.

Chromium is an essential mineral that plays a role in how insulin helps the body regulate blood sugar levels. Insulin is a hormone that your body uses to change sugar, starches, and other food into the energy you need for daily activities.

Some evidence suggests that chromium supplements may help people with diabetes lower blood sugar levels. People with diabetes either do not make enough insulin, or cannot properly use the insulin that their bodies make. As a result, glucose or sugar builds up in the bloodstream.

People most likely to be deficient in chromium include:
-The elderly
-Those who do a lot of strenuous exercise
-Those who eat a lot of sugary foods
-Pregnant women

Maybe it's just Australia, but this sort of women (mentally ill attention whores) have never been shy about letting everyone know, as far as I can remember. If you appear non-judgemental enough, they even tell you that on first dates, and I have personal examples from before social media. Now they just have the hashtag to take their attention whoring to a global level. They'd tell you that there is this apparent social stigma against mental illness in this country but how can there be if these freaks have never shut up their whole lives about it?

Good thing they have dead giveaways that you can spot from a mile away. Most reliable would be dead eyes, short hair or neon-coloured hair, and a lot of fat.

I was once talking to a Starbucks barista during her lunch break straight up tell me about her mental illness and also about the crystals she carried around to help out with it even though I 1) would only see her once a week at Starbucks so I wasn't even a casual friend and 2) I didn't bring up anything related to that subject. Also have a couple of female acquaintances that will constantly talk about their various mental aliments and chronicle their breakdowns on social media on the regular.

Medication is great for women. It allows them to externalize their problems, point the finger on factors that are "out of their control," and have an excuse for having a terrible attitude and behavior. All of the women I know who are on behavior meds like to show it off. All the men I know who are on behavior meds are only taking it because a woman (usually their mother during childhood) told them to.

Women love being medicated.

So true!
