STI Anxiety

Is it normal for a young guy who is just coming into some abundance to be extremely fearful about sexually transmitted diseases? Almost every time I have sex with a new girl i find myself pedantically checked my penis for rashes, blisters etc and discharge to the point where I'm thinking im scared to have sex with new girls.

Is this a normal reaction? Any experienced dudes want to chime in?

You'll do this for a few years.

Then as you get older you'll be like "Fuck it, raw dog away".

The chances are much lower than anyone ever tells you.

Alright thanks buddy. I'm not an anxious person by nature but this has been killing me. I have these horrible thoughts like; "well if she's willing to fuck without a condom after just meeting me..... she's probably done this 20-30 times... Man I've basically just fucked 30 dudes...". This anxiety has actually made me come to long for a sweet virginal girlfriend just for the certainty. But of course no man on this forum would advocate this endeavour. Yeah I'll take your advice and just try not to worry about it. In meantime ill just wrap the old johnson no matter what.

Thanks Crash

Right, plus look at some statistics on STD prevalence -- you can radically reduce your chances if you avoid some high-risk groups (to take one example, girls who hang out with/bang bisexual men, as you might find in many theater groups).

In the Philippines chances are high of gonorrhea and chlamydia if you meet a girl through internet. Almost none of the chicks have the money to go to the doctor and many have minimal symptoms. Lack of basic scientific knowledge about how infections work as well as denial and simple lack of though make the problem worse.

Not necessarily. Most established members on this forum will advocate that each member "find and choose their own path" not that "one size fits all" when it comes to lifestyle. In fact I would argue that one of the main benefits of spending time spent wisely on this forum, is that a man might glean information here not available anywhere else. Monogamy may be the right "thing" for you...as long as you choose your "thing" with your eyes wide open, you'll know.

Just use a condom. The answer is so simple.

I am not a priest and in more than one instance, I did not use a condom, although I have met the girl only a few hours before.

Would I advocate for such behavior? No.

At the other hand, would I panic because I did not use a condom? No.

Recently I did quite some research on my blog regarding this topic. You can find the entry in German here: Angst vor HIV/ AIDS ist unbegründet

The summary of the article is:
- When you are a straight, white male who doesn't go to prostitutes or uses drugs, your chances of HIV are very small.

To put it in numbers, there were 514 positive HIV-Tests in Switzerland in the year 2014. However, a closer look at the numbers showed that only 56 positive HIV-Tests were not related to drugs, prostitutes or homosexual activities.

Mike from Danger and Play had a similar article for the USA, you can find the article here: http://www.dangerandplay.com/2012/04/25/...vent-stds/

Of course, there is not only HIV.

There are also other STD. Most of them can be easily cured with antibiotics.

So, should you fuck every Tinder slut without a condom? No.
Should you be worried to death after you fucked a slut without a condom? No.

It gets better as you get older and wiser with more experience. I used to get serious anxiety about this stuff in my teen and early 20's. I'm talking bad anxiety. Now in my late 20's I don't lose as much sleep over it. Just don't stick your dick in crazy.

That would be a laugh. "Just wait... I need to put a rubber on before you suck me off". Glad to hear I'm not the other one suffering from this anxiety.

Everytime STI's come up why the hell are guys talking about HIV (rare as hell as mentioned) and curable diseases? Why are you ignoring the only 800lbs gorilla in the room?

HERPES

HERPES

HERPES

That is the real one. That is the only one I fear. Everytime I get an ingrown hair, or tiny sex rash thing, or scratch.

I know 3 guys in real life that have gotten HSV-2 genital herpes, and it affected their dating life drastically.

Herpes is a crazy little virus. I have done quite a bit of research due to my fear.

There is HSV-1 and HSV-2:

HSV-1 is vast majority oral herpes. About 50% of the population has this by the time they are in their 20's almost 90% when you are old. Many STI test don't test for this as you need a sample of an open blister or a blood test. Why blood tests are not common unless requested I have NO FUCKING IDEA. Most people that have it don't even know they have because their symptoms don't show up.

You can get from sharing a glass, cigarette, kissing, food etc... this is why it is so common.

You can pass HSV-1 when giving oral to someone's genitals. It is rare to do this though, otherwise everyone would have HSV-1 gential herpes.

A weird fact about HSV-1 is if you have it makes you much more immune to HSV-2 (genital herpes) because they are cousin strains.

You can get HSV-1 and HSV-2 but it is rare as fuck as said they are cousin strains so you usually are immune to one if you get the other first.

HSV-2 I read is more like 15% of the population. Women contract it much more easily than men thank goodness. I think they contract it about 3 times as likely as men. Many sexually active women over 30 have it due to all the life partners. So be careful with older chicks especially. Also this isn't tested for often without strictly asking for a blood test. Piss test does not cover this!

Both can be passed at anytime through skin shedding with no symptoms showing.

A condom does not protect the base of your dick, condoms slip and break.

Travesty my man you have hit the nail on the head. Gonnorhea and chlamdyia are easily curable with antibios. In Australia i walk into a sexual health clinic say to the doc (in kinder words) I fucked a dirty slut and she will treat me on the spot for those. Injection and two tablets and say "onya Johnny no sex for a week and you'll be fine wrap it up next time". As for HIV macho man rhetoric aside, it's very hard to get unless you're having sex with gay men or junkies.
Herpes is the concern.... It's for life and the reality that condoms don't really do shit since the sores can touch your skin and infect you is the fucked part. There definitely needs to be more education on herpes. That's the real concern I agree entirely.

I think I inherited the HSV-1 when I was born. I never had an outbreak, but my grandmother had it and I was told that it's just a genetic aesthetic. I had a recent scare of real herpes but I don't have it thank the Lord. The reason why condoms don't work against some STD's is because the skin around your dick going up to your pelvis is much thinner than the rest of your body, and it is easier for something to pass through those layers than it is say your chest or your back or your arm. Contact with herpes skin can do this to you, so if you see a girl with a breakout on her face and she is slutty do not touch. There is always another woman, always.

Perhaps I am immune to the real herpes because I have done some stupid shit with whorish women before, and I am surprised that I do not have anything at this point. I am much more careful now than I was a few years back, and though I relent and go night-gaming taking home strange wool occasionally after getting rejected the previous few hours, I try to be more pure about it and only hit on the quality girls (in looks and health). Mentally their all fucked lol

^ Like I said if you have HSV-1 then you are most likely immune to HSV-2 at least when it is in the least contagious stage (i.e. no outbreak which is when you'd usually have sex with a carrier who doesn't know they have it or at least is decent enough to fuck you when they don't have symptoms and make you wear a condom).

It can actually be a blessing to have HSV-1 where you don't get bad outbreaks or any at all on or in your mouth because having dormant HSV-1 oral herpes which the majority of the population has is better than having genital herpes.

So, when I get you right, when a person has HSV-1, there is a very, very small chance of even getting HSV-2.

Most of people will get sooner or later HSV-1. What is the impact of having HSV-1? Almost none?

When I follow this logic, I don't really worry about HSV-2. I probably belong to the 90%, so the chances of getting HSV-2 are very slim for me and probably for most RVF members.

If you ever feel something isn't quite right down there go to a good doctor with genetic testing straight away . screw your local GP , go private.
I had sex with a girl (big slut ),we used a condom but not for the oral.

Anyway bacteria in her mouth gave me a urine infection.... not a problem you may think , until the antibiotics didn't work and the Dr's couldn't identify the strain of bacteria causing it (this is classed as NSU)

The infection spread to my prostate and balls , they all blew up and I was in a world of pain.

Eventually with some more pills and herbal remedies etc the infection went away .... however.

Inflammation was still left in my balls and penis. It lasted well over a year , and I still get tingles now.

It effected my entire life hugely for a long time. I only managed to reduce the ball swelling with a good homoeopath.

I think i was very unlucky but let that be a warning ..

Oral herpes is present in nearly 50% of girls. You probably already have it without knowing, since it can be tramistted by inheritance / genital-oral contact.

You should be more scared of the genital herpes virus. It is the worst one.

I wouldn't really care about HIV if I were you, as the chance of getting HIV from an insertive vaginal intercourse is 0.04% for a non-protected act with a HIV+ whore. Calculated along with the prevalence rate + avoiding high-risk groups, your chances of getting HIV are slim to none.

Chlamydia and Gonhorrea can easily be cured with antibiotics. Nothing to worry about.

Despite that, I can't stop rawdogging. That's my weak point. I hate to come in a balloon.

It's been said before on this forum, re HSV-2, you're going to increase your chance of getting it if you shave your nuts etc.

Trimming the hair short is fine, just don't shave (at least not within a short time frame before having sex).

To re-iterate what Travesty said, a condom does not protect against HSV-2.

I sometimes get super paranoid about this, more often than not when hooking up with a craislist chick or something, not quite as paranoid if its just through a social circle or something though at the end of the day you never can really know who's got something.

I always use condoms and am pretty concious about being hygenic and safe, always wash my shit really well afterwords, etc.

That said I have buddies who go around raw dogging the nastiest one night stands and never have any issues. It's good to be cautious but don't let it ruin your good time or drive you crazy. I think it's a lot harder to catch an STD than sexed or pop culture may lead you to believe, especially if you use condoms and are safe about what you do.

Condoms are horrible.
But Jesus do they ever alleviate your anxiety following a one night bang with A random.
A while back, while in a committed LTR, I strayed and banged the shit out of a Thai slut I met in a bar.
Got terrible sore throat a few days later and just the worst flu ever the next week. I went to a doctor in Nam and be shot my ass up and gave me pills and mouthwash.
Had some bloodwork done a few weeks later and was all clear.

Then I started reading the fucking Internet and I was 100% sure I had the HIV.

I started getting a bunch of symptoms that are on the list of HIV symptoms and I went bonkers. Couldn't bring myself to get an AIDS test after the window closed.

I also read lots about the obscene rarity that I could have actually caught it. I would find myself saying "of course you don't have it".

But I kept on keeping on. Thinking about it. NOT getting checked out.

Finally after 2 years of being a pussy about it I finally got a full blood scan.

I had AIDS.

NO just kidding. I was all clear.

Stupid fucking idiot I was for not getting checked out sooner.

Just wear a dome. Unfortunately it sucks but you can't trust bitches these days.
