Vladimir Putin interview on 60 Minutes

The interview is tonight. Here's a preview:

Putin's initial reaction to the questions seem to be, "These are stupid questions. American media lol".

Maybe the main interview has meat, but the ones in the preview seem to have been submitted by elementary school students. It's like they didn't want to ask him questions that could lead to dangerous ideas being discussed.

As someone who religiously follows global events, I've made sure to set aside time to watch this interview.

Yeah going off what you're saying, I don't have any hopes of the real truths of the matter to be allowed to be discussed, especially on a mainstream news platform. Questions like the true funding sources of the rebels and reasons why. Still, should be a good watch.
Putin's speech at the UN meeting tomorrow might also be good to watch because it's rumored that he'll announce a new coalition to deploy to fight ISIS. If Iran and China get to throw some troops in it could get interesting.

Trump is going to be on as well.

Should be one to remember, for some reason or another.

I fully support Putin. I have from the beginning and will until the end. This man is a friend to the people of the earth, not the enemy. Him and Assad are far more rational individuals than any of our leaders, no matter what the western media will have you think.

That Trump interview seemed heavily edited. Scott Pelley's interview skill was of as much low quality as would be found in any of the CNN anchors. He came off very effeminate concerned, but poorly informed himself. What the hell is wrong with that man?

Will be interesting to see for sure, but I must admit 60 minutes is a charade far too highly praised as investigative journalism. I often cringe when I hear their interviews.

For instance they ask "What do you like about America?" assuming the objective does like America, instead of asking "Is there something you like about America?" And this goes on and on for most of their interviews. Pretty amateurish but then again, they want to back up their story...not find something close to the truth.

The media once again proves itself a joke.

With Putin:

The whole interview was concocted to make anything America does great and Russia looking out for its own interests bad. You want to be a superpower?! But that's mean! You want to forge a sphere of influence in the Middle East (in other words - get control of a batshit crazy region, [in large part thanks to US foreign policy] on your own doorstep). That's mean!

They couldn't believe why Putin has such high approval ratings. Some of that is undoubtedly doctored. But maybe, just maybe, it's because Putin actually cares about his people and is taking active steps to prevent Western degeneracy from reaching Russian lands?

All of this seemed foreign to them.

With Trump:

Nothing but baiting the entire time, as usual. Pelley basically took things like NAFTA as set in stone and you couldn't do anything about it. Maybe get the fuck out of it? Ever think of that? Maybe not be stupid?

When Pelley said, "The other night you said if you lose the election, you'll go back to your job. What do you have to say about that?" left me flabbergasted. I was unaware that failed campaigns historically resulted in self sacrifice like this is the original Greco-Roman Olympics. What a chump.

Scott Pelley comes off as a faggot. His baiting tactics are effeminate, and quite frankly, deplorable.

I remember him pulling the same shit with Obama during his Super Bowl interview ("but you're not wearing a tie..").

As for Trump, I felt like he could have conducted the interview better.

The way he answered the question about the fall of the Soviet Union was excellent. It's always been mentioned in western media how Putin wishes the Soviet Union still existed and that he is some egotistic maniac thug that runs his country like a gang. The general consensus I'm getting from reading a lot of comments on different sites is that the general public's eyes are opening up that Putin is a genuine good guy and not some chaotic dictator he is portrayed as by our media.

If you want to watch a good Interview with Puting check out the one from ARD. Unfortunately it´s in german, I don´t know if it´s available in English, but it´s worth checking it out, he does great in it and effectively exposes western hypocrisy.

Putin and Trump would get on like a house on fire.

I can never quite decide whether I think Putin is good for the either Russia or the wider World but one thing you can't deny is that the guy is a leader...it oozes out of him.

It's hard not to respect any man like that.

Putin demonstrates vice-like frame control. Not sure what I think about his leadership, but I definitely respect him.

60 minutes used to be first rate journalism. But that tool asking the questions is still clinging to the same BS narrative that was fed to him by his corporate masters.

Putin going after ISIS - the terrorist Muslims in Syria is entirely consistent.

Putin backed Egypt's Pres Al Sisi to throw terrorist Muslims out of Egyptian politics.

Putin backed Al Sisi's vow to rebuild the 63 churches and businesses destroyed by the rampaging Muslims.

Putin sticking his finger in the eye of Zerobama? That's a wrap.

“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

The New York Times has a daily politics newsletter I was looking for info about the potential government shutdown.

http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-dr...arts/?_r=0

Buried near the bottom was this gem comparing Obama and Putin:

"The two leaders could hardly be more different: One the cool, reserved American president with a fascination for the intellectual aspects of policy and a professorial, even at times lecturing style of leadership. The other a former K.G.B. spy who favors a shirtless, hugging-polar-bears, tranquilizing-leopards sort of public persona and slouches with his legs spread while meeting foreign leaders."

James Howard Kunstler (Peak Oil Dude) had a good write up on this that can be summed up as:

"And so there is Vladimir Putin, a former KGB officer, having to spell it out for the American clodhopper super-journalist."

And:

"Putin answered as if he were explaining something that should have been self-evident to a not-very-bright high school freshman"

Yeah the interviewer was atrocious with all the leading questions and feminine logic. "But people say you're a gangster!" "Do you think Russia is as powerful as America?!". Such pathetic pandering to the ignorant masses, it's quite shameful. Like they all wanted us to hate him so badly, but for what? For taking care of his people and country? For trying to stop the war in his backyard? He seems like an honorable and wonderful leader who really cares for his country. It was really touching to hear him talk about the fall of the Soviet Union, imagine if overnight 25 million American's weren't American anymore. That would be like if the South seceded or something, crazy to think of in those terms.

And man, the Trump interview was even worse. It's like the interviewers try to be as obtuse and contradictory as possible to try and get a rise out of these guys. But of course our boys Trump & Putin don't fall for any of the gotcha BS and have impeccable frame control. Still good to see the Alphas on display under the national TV spotlight, as there are still plenty of people who can see through the media charade.
