As I've mentioned on a previous thread, my own education was poor, so I had to self-educate myself on a lot of different fields, such as politics, history, etc. At the age of 23, I decided to stop identifying myself as a Republican, as there seems to be very little point to be a member of a political party, anyway.
When did you do the same? Or have you?

When I saw what happened in my home state of CO just the other day with the delegates. To be registered republican is to have an IRS target on your back anyways. Who needs it?

I stopped identifying as a Democrat when I started getting fed up with the liberal bullshit surrounding colleges and the respective trash that live in their college towns.

I started identifying as a Republican when I moved to the big city and had to deal with more liberal retards.

Now I continue to identify as a Republican because it seems the only Americans in Europe are the ones who are trying to escape the things that make America great. Ironically they're all here on student visas because no one will hire them. Smart!

Identified with Democrat for a short time when I was young - only because I grew up around evangelical Christians and found them a little bonkers, so I identified with Democrat just to be on the polar opposite side.

Realized much later that political correctness, 3rd wave feminism, and the victim mindset I see perpetuated by the left is a much, much bigger problem today, especially to American males than evangelical Christians are.

Don't entirely identify with Republicans but lean far more right than left; more often than not I see individuals on the left looking to coddle people and portray everyone as a victim, while it's the conservatives who are the most likely to encourage you to stop blaming everyone else for your lot in life and find a way to make it happen.

In Australia, it was a rather easy & straightforward premise.

When the so called 'conservative' party enacted emotive, knee-jerk anti-gun legislation (back in '96).
It's a mere matter of principle to say, never again Cuckservatives.
