So I'm wondering what the word is on whats printed on your shirt, and does one style offer better results then the other.

I have on shirt that has "Not only single but Irish" on it and I've had girls open me when wearing it asking "are you really Irish" or "is that true"

So whats best (or is there even a best?) Funny, Graphic (like the tapout shirts), blank/plain, minimalist, or something else?

And before it comes up I know clothes dont really make the man, the man makes the clothes, but if one shirt give you more of a leg up then another why not go with what helps

Avoid the Tapout tees like the plague. In the Pacific Northwest the only people wearing them are either White Trash or Migrants. Funny or Ironic slogans are kind of played out and just make you look like a kid.
I like plain old ringer tees (collar different color than the rest of the shirt), but pick interesting/complimentary colors. I like athletic fit but not meathead/gay guy tight.

I've always stayed away from the tapout shirts, I think the irony with those is most guys you see wearing them look about as badass and threatening as a kitten.

Im thinking about trying the plain style, its one that I've never really gone with, but I used to wear plaid/graphic Ts to cover up the fact I was fat, now that the weight is gone I think I'd be much more comfortable in the style

Having funny witty shirts will most def have females opening you during the course of the night.

I had a pretty funny jersey shore shirt (i lost it ****) that the ladies LOVED!

Granted you need to wear them where the ladies will relate. Dont wear that shit to some highend hotel lounge with the 30 plus crowd.

man fuck t-shirts with letters etc on them. just wear an all black/white/other color v-neck (V-necks from J-CREW are MONEY) and then some levis 514s (slim fit but not skin tight jeans). i always rock some type of necklace, usually just a very simple chain given to me from my godfather (R.I.P.). can't go wrong

I have been phasing out of jeans and into these new slim fit/fitted khakis that i've found, so much more comfortable, classier. I can rock then with a silky V-neck sweater, or tuck in a fly button down w/ a brown belt. simplicity

I remember when a man could walk into a store and pickup a t-shirt in his size, pay, then walkout. Now? Damn. The last few I've bought fit all boogered up. Either too long in the tail or the shoulders fit funky. Even Luck Brand has failed me.

This has been a big issue for me. I finally found a brand that fits, but I cant ever find them in more then like 5 styles, and 2 of those are usually not my thing.

The resounding answer seems to be "simple" and this is what I was Leaning towards, not just from a fashion sense, but because they're usually cheaper too.

@Chad-I've always kept my T's simple, and w/out obnoxious or profane content. I don't wear them too often, but here's an example. Just ordered it and have been looking for this 1 damn shirt for 3 years. Btw, I'm a fan of Triumph and Steve McQueen.

Depends on where I'm going, and obviously how warm it is...

Usually, I wear plain T's (mostly black), but sometimes I'll wear something with a band or whatever on it... this obviously makes sense if I'm going to see another band at a bar or going to a concert. If I'm going to a club or a bar in a nicer area, I'll wear a button up shirt. Although, sometimes I'll just go to those in a black T.

I know there's the whole ideology that you should try to "stand out" but that's not me. I prefer to blend in, and then stand out with my game. If my appearance stands out too much, every approach I make is going to be noticed, and if a few earlier ones fail (which they often do) you can quickly get labeled as "that guy" and you'll have to venue change.

Yep, that's pretty much my exact style, minus the jacket. Even have that little 5 o'clock shadow going at the moment. Only thing is this long hair is starting to become more of a nuisance than it's worth, so the clippers are likely coming out soon.

I usually have on a t-shirt related to either my undergrad or grad school colleges with always small/medium lettering.

One school's colors are green & white. The other is red & white & black.

Yeah...I keep it simple.

Plain T's, colored T's, Graphic T's, Funny T's, I rock it all depending on the venue.

My favorite though is the black athletic tee and jeans look in the warmer months, just add a jacket in the colder months. Simple and it's a style you can rock all year round if you want.

One thing I'm starting to notice is the more I get in shape the more I'm attracted to the plain T style. Im starting to like the way I look in my plain white under shirts then I do when I'm wearing a nicer T-shirt.
