Parents with opposite sex children, caregivers of the elderly, and transgender people are some of the people Mayor Gonzales said would benefit.
The way the ordinance is written, if a business owner doesn't comply, the business would be given a citation.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Santa Fe is a really gay city. A very pretty one though.

What's next? A 3rd bathroom mandate for trannies?

Incoming: rape.

But seriously, I actually used to wonder what the point was of having Male/female bathrooms in spaces where there was no urinal.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

Having in younger days worked in a gas station and cleaned the bathrooms, women piss on the seats more in public bathrooms. They are apparently too afraid of the seats anyway to use them so they apparently just drop their panties and piss anywhere: Trash can, sink, middle of the floor, and anywhere but the part of the toilet that gets flushed.

I weep for professional janitors.

We have these already everywhere. They're called "restrooms".

Identifying them as gender neutral is redundant. And fucking stupid in my opinion. But the pandering to whiny crybabies seems to have no end. I mean soon we'll start calling them gender/able/height/weight/emotion neutral restrooms to pander to every fucking idiot. Man these people just piss me off.

Why is the wheelchair dude much smaller than the man/woman? Is it depicting a crippled midget? Because maybe I'm just a shitlord, but that seems awfully specific - 'we cater to men, women and dwarfs with ALS.'

Also, I think these kind of laws are pushed by the elites not for ideological reasons, but because they create barriers to entry for small businesses, keeping the market less competitive. Who's hurt more by making the business laws so complex and unintuitive to follow that you pretty much need a team of lawyers just to run a shop: the little guy on the local parade, or Wallmart?

The amount of time and resources that small business need to dedicate just to ensuring they're operating within the law, before they can even do any damn business has risen exponentially in the last half-century. In the UK, I noticed that while this has been happening, our main supermarkets Sainsburys and Tesco started buying up high street spots and opening scaled-down versions of their supermarkets - Sainsburys Local and Tesco Metro. Over the last decade, they've been quickly taking over what used to be the business of small convenience stores. Whilst gender-neutral bathroom legislation wouldn't affect these kind of places, I believe it's all part of the slow creep towards a world where enterprise is only viable for $500bn conglomerates.

Yup. Women "hovering" and Mexican teenagers scratching gang tags into the seat are 99% of the damage to gas station toilets.

The sign implies that the "Male/female" thing is a handicap hence deserving of their own special room. Only people with "handicaps" can use that room.

This. Ummm, how is this some earth shattering news? Any place that has just 1 toilet is simply called "a toilet", it's kind of understood that anybody can go in there, but just one person.

Now on the other hand if these are meant as big toilets for more than 1 person and they're for everyone, oh boy, hilarity will ensue

We had dual sex restrooms in Iraq. This one chick used to always bitch cause the urinals were on the same wall as the sinks, with dividers of course. I'd just be pissing and say, "It's better than me peeing your seat."

It reminded me of being married, arguing with a chick while I'm pissing.

Do these gender neutral restrooms have flowers on the countertop by the sinks?

I've seen less than 10, probably less than 5 of these filthy, degenerate tranny freaks in my life. Which tells me the only reason these vermin are being pandered to is some kind of though-control experiment.

Thank God the suicide rate is so high for these things, the less there are the better.

You must not live in a large city. I see these fucking wierdos frequently. Even more so now that this mental disorder is being celebrated.

The Santa Fe City Council on Wednesday passed a new ordinance that will require single occupancy public restrooms to be gender neutral.
The City Clerk’s office said it will go into effect as early as July 1st.
"I think it's a great idea," said Pam Etre-Perez.

If it was a 'single occupancy' bathroom, doesn't that already mean it was 'gender neutral'?

I look forward to the day when all this jibberish noise is met with a sharp "what? shut the fuck up fucking wierdo" by everyone who hears it, followed by being physically being chucked outside like refuse in a third world country.
