Flaghunter’s trip of Africa

Almost 3 weeks in now.
Ratios of white girls to white guys are great, much much more female than male volunteers although lots of them have boyfriends (or so they have told me!)
Having said that I've been concentrating on my flaghunting and havent smashed a white girl yet on the trip.

Zanzibar in Tanzania is beautiful, although parties are only good in Kendwa on Friday and Saturdays. Spent 9 days there, got a Kenya flag from Tinder and local flag from daytime beach game, Dar es Salaam for the weekend was very vibrant with lots of expats, got Zambia and Sri Lanka both from tinder there.
Just been to a music festival in Malawi, smashed a couple of local girls there. Apparently theres not much party spots in Malawi so getting out in a couple of days now.

My buddy has smashed a Norweigan, English, South African, Canadian and Malawian, 2 from tinder and 3 from drunken night game.

Heading to Zambia and Zimbabwe next so will keep you guys updated if anyone wants.

HaHaHaHa. Then where is he? Oh, back in Germany, UK, France etc. Thousands of km's away. No doubt there are some faithful girls out there, but for most girls if they are travelling without their boyfriends they are about as open to relationships as if they were single.

Something to keep in mind regarding these girls who are on various volunteer programs is that they, or at least their parents, are irredeemably middle class. Their volunteer work itself has very little, more likely zero, likelihood of directly benefiting the causes involved. These programs are run for the purposes of assuaging a weird kind of "guilt" families in the middle experience when considering spending money on hedonism. The rich and poor could just send their kids on holiday and they would have a blast. But in the middle this would seem excessive. So these programs must exist to "bolster the CV" and offer "meaningful work" to the young people on the programs. But the actual benefit they offer is the fact that their parents pay placement fee's for them to participate.

Anyway, if I were you I'd look for the ore cynical volunteer. One who "gets" what is going on. She'd be much more likely to have a good time.

Flaghunter’s trip of Africa

Nice to get on the ground intel. I will also visit the African continent for the first time this December. Going to chill with a buddy in South Africa and then venture off on my own, most likely to Ethiopia (damn they have some fine women).

Should be an interesting trip for me, I'm an America but I am Wesley Snipes dark so most people outside of the United States (Europeans) just assume African. I wonder if people from the motherland itself can tell that I am a foreigner.

Almost certainly "yes". Apart from physical cues, which I'll come to, body language will also be very different. Gait, posture and so on. Clothing also at least subtly different.

Physically, Africans are very diverse. If you're American, your biological heritage is likely West, or maybe Central, African. No way anyone in South/Southern Africa will mistake you for a local. Not in East Africa either. Even white people. Maybe you could blend in more in West Africa, but then the other factors come to the fore. Think about it this way. Do you think that if an American with a predominantly Greek background travels to Sweden the Swedes are going to mistake him for a Swede? Africa is no different. In fact, genetically, Africans are more diverse than any other continental grouping.

Hope you have a great trip. If you're even remotely interested don't skip the safari experience. The African megafauna, and the natural environment in general, is very captivating.

You make a good point but I think I worded my post wrong. What I meant was I was curious if people in any given African country I visit could tell I wasn't from the African continent. I'm aware of the diversity among the African continent and that I most likely hail from Western Africa due to my features but as you said, my gait, posture and clothing will most likely indicate me as a foreigner.

Thanks for the advice, I may look into some safaris once I hit the ground.

If you wore local clothing and stood totally still and didn't say anything, you may be able to wing it in any given African country but once you start moving any part of your body then the cat would be out of the bag.
