Oklahoma City Data Sheet 2015

I went out and did some research while I have been here on a consulting contract. Also, I lived in Norman about 10 years ago for a few years and went out a lot in OKC but much has changed since then. Caveat, I am in my 40’s (and on the old guy thread) so I hit up a lot of places that I wouldn’t ordinarily go because I wanted a data sheet that would work for other guys on the forum too. My day game is nascent and improving and my night game isn't much better. So I don't have a lot of approach experience in these places. I am here for a few more months so I will update as I continue to work on approaches.

I have only spent time in Oklahoma City, not Norman or Edmond during this time period so I only wrote up OKC.

You have both Uber and Lyft in OKC. Everything is spread out except for the brick town and deep deuce area so you can do a lot of Ubering here.

Lots of fat chicks here so the thin ones are way overvalued.

-Bricktown

This is the primary place where most people would want to run night game. All the 8/9/10’s I know go out here with their groups of friends on Friday and Saturday nights. I have some but not a lot of experience in bricktown personally. Only been going out there for about a month.
FYI, Rok Bar, Citywalk, and Sky bar are all closed now (these used to be popular places).
Club One15: inherited the Sky Bar crowd. This is the primary place for hot 20 somethings. Fri and Sat only.
Candy: similar to Club One15, slightly lower quality, 6’s, 7’s, has pole dancers, a model I know that is about a 8 or 9 used to dance there.
Many other bars and clubs in brick town but these are the top ones if you are going to suit up and hit it hard. Some more in bricktown:
Circus: less of a nightclub, more casual, still has a good crowd.
Whiskey Chicks: Meh, sometimes good, earlier in the evening or swooping at 1:30am before last call ;-) (2:00am by law in Oklahoma which means 1:45 in most bars)
Dollhouse has burlesque shows but is full of fat chicks that are wannabe burlesque dancers and groups of chubby women.

One notable mention just outside of bricktown and deep deuce is the Red Prime Steakhouse which has a small bar that at times is good when with a wing and you want a steak. Kinda pricy.

-Deep Deuce (Just north of brick town)

Aloft Hotel: a good bar on ground level where some chicks go to pre-game. Could run game here. I have used this place to meet girls for a drink when I have pipelined online. They have an awesome rooftop patio that is usually empty and so I get a drink with my date and bring her to the roof for isolation and kino. Can smoke on rooftop.

WHSKY Lounge: Good for a venue change from ALoft as it is very close, has bar and tables, can run night game here. I had a female wing one night and got a bunch of chicks checking me out. I have mostly used it when I wanted to venue change from the Aloft hotel as it is one block away and has food late at night. A cigar bar so good for smoking.

Urban Johnnie bar & Grille: earlier in the evening, closes early but has a bar scene.

-23rd Street between Broadway and Classen
This area has taken off recently and become a much more happening place for game.

Pump Bar: this is one of the best new places for 20 somethings and a must for night game, possibly the afternoons on the weekends also. Casual crowd. They have a huge outdoor seating area so in winter it is not going to be the best but when it is warm this place is hopping.

Guyutes: just opened with rooftop bar that has been busy. Not sure about the scene.

-10th and Classen Drive (One block cluster of bars and restaurants).
James McNellies: packed bar. I know of one friend that pulled there. But a sausage fest most of the time.
Bossa Nova: rooftop bar was cool but has been closed.
Stella: restaurant with bar
Louies: this bar can be hopping but the talent is low.
1492: restaurant with bar
O Bar on top of Ambassador Hotel: rooftop bar. This place can be perfect for a venue change or a place to post up for a while. Superb quality 8/9s on Friday and Saturdays. Sometimes very dead.
My recommendation is to hit one or two or all of these bars as they are right in the same area, one block basically.

-Classen Ave.
Kamps: Wednesday night this place is 18 to enter, 21 to drink. Think about it. They have a dance night on wednesdays call Robotic Wednesdays. Lots of young chicks here. I was seeing a 19 year old that would meet me at a hotel, then go dance, then come back to the hotel for a nightcap. A definite one on the list. Crowd is a bit young for me to try and night game. Do not suit up here. It would be way overkill.

Gastropub: This is a MAJOR place for more upscale chicks and professional chicks. Basically more women in their 30's. But you see some dressed up 9's and 10's. There is a bar where you can post up and do some damage. Lot of booths in the place isolate a lot of chicks. Could walk around through the booths and look for openings.

-Western Ave.
Barrel: newer bar and restaurant with a bigger bar area that has some action.
Lobby Bar: also a cafe, try day game here and earlier in the evening.
Sushi Neko: about the most popular place for sushi. If you went with a wing or two you could hit the bar and tables here. Quality 8/9/10's.

-Farther North in OKC
Bakers St. - this place has been the legendary meat market where everyone I know has some crazy story about picking up some 4 or 5 in a drunken haze. Friday and Saturday nights. One of my friends sister met her husband here. I think it is worth a shot but way north in the city so you have to drive or Uber. Famously asshole bouncers. This is where you might go to do a lot of throwaway approaches. But you will probably be successful.

Groovy’s: this is a strange but fun place. It is basically a disco for 30/40 somethings but gets a mixed 20’s/30’s/40’s crowd. Has a cover and dress code. Big dance floor where you can run dance game and probably get a 30/40 something drunk MILF any weekend. Plays lots of old music. I think that any chick in this place went there to pick up a guy. It has that reputation. Last time I went I was with my girlfriend at the time but both my friends got girls.

-Artwalks

Plaza District - Live On The Plaza - Second Friday of the month. This is the best one for evening as there are a lot of people that come from OKC, Edmond, Norman to walk around the Plaza District for the Live on the Plaza event. This area is good for sidewalk gaming on any Friday or Saturday night as there is actually a big sidewalk area for people to walk and mingle. I would put this on the must do list. Warning, it is pretty hipster.

Paseo Arts district - First Friday of each month art walk. Also check out Picasso's and the bar next to it. However, this is not a quality place. No 9's or 10's here.

-Online

OkCupid is pretty fucking gross in this town. SIFs and not so secret ones. I have had some success here but this year it has seemed to die. I have asked some 7/8/9's that I have met if they have been on OKCupid and none of them here have said yes. A few had been on tinder but here they don't have to as their social scene and bricktown nights give them plenty of attention.

POF is even grossser than OKCupid in Oklahoma

Tinder is good and has really taken off this summer in OKC.

Seeking Arrangement is good. I'm older so I run this a lot with a quick disqualifier for the ones that ask for money. Much better explanations on the Seeking Arrangement thread.

-Gyms

Golds Gym on Northwest Expressway is popular and has a good clientele for gym game.

Western Ave Boxing Gym kicks ass and you can go month to month if you are visiting.

Rocktown Climbing Gym downtown and is world class.

The Lighthouse is popular for the triathlete crowd that I know. Has a pool. Northside OKC.

YMCA downtown is good if you are staying downtown.

Several crossfit locations.

-Hotels

ALoft, Colcord, and Skirvin Hilton are cool and notable hotels downtown that would impress someone if you were staying there. My fave is the ALoft for a downtown stay and part of my ALoft/WSKY Bar strategy.

Coffee shops

Both Coffee Slingers and Elemental, in Midtown, are potentials for day game but are somewhat hipster. Starbucks on Northwest Expressway is open late. Two other good starbucks are on N. May and Western Ave. in Nichols Hills (an enclosed suburb of OKC)

I don't go to strip clubs so I didn't write about them.

I will work on more specific day game guide.

Also, there is a very sizable Latino population here and I do speak spanish but I have yet to try and find the good salsa, merengue, bachata clubs. It is on my list to-do.

Great data sheet on my old stomping grounds! Obviously it will never be a Tier 1 city but I have heard OKC has made remarkable changes over the past 10 years. The city seems to have a good economy resulting in a growing young professional crowd. Although other parts of the state seem to be stuck in the dark ages OKC has made great progress.

The issue I ran into while there, were very tight social circles and the fact quality women all marry at the age of 22-23. My friends tell me this has been offset somewhat by a lot of move-ins. Looking forward to any additional information.

Nice to see Oklahoma getting some action on roosh! My comments are pretty similar to cowyboy's. Most of the best women get married around 22-25, and the ones that are single usually have a kid or two. It's also pretty backwards, you're looked upon as the weird/fucked up one if you don't have any kids, never been married.

I'll always love home, but for any bachelors in their 20s living in Oklahoma, GTFO.

Yes, in the past 18 months I have been to Chile, Mexico City, and Playa Del Carmen/Tulum. This town sucks but I have resolved myself to develop my day game and after reading the old guy thread, approach thread, and newbie threads I have many new strategies. So I will sharpen my sword here with day game with very low expectations.

Heck I went into Natural Grocers on May (brand new store) to get good eggs (for my T maintenance program) and was really alpha with one of the hottest chicks I have seen in months here, probably a 9, in the check out line and let her get out the door after some great banter when I should have closed and got the number!!! Not going to let that happen again as you don't get too many of those opportunities here.

Props on hitting my old stomping grounds. I spent two years at UCO. Spit game early as they wife up at age 19-20. I had great success as a "foreigner".

See my write-up here: thread-10598...#pid341786

Anyone wanting more info can PM me and I'll give specifics.

Thanks, yeah, I had read that thread and it was what prompted me to spend a little time and try and get more intel on OKC.

Not too sure if this thread is dead... but I give it a shot before I try a post a new one.
I have been living in Oklahoma city for about 3 years now... lived in bricktown for about 2 years and in Edmond for about 1 year.
The game here sucks... not too sure whether it is me or Oklahoma but it is hard for me to pull anything overhere. I work in the oil industry and I am a high income earner, that is the only reason I am here. The only way I can pull is from my social circle and the girls are not too hot and are still highly apprehensive of me. I am a black male, I think I am good looking, and I am loaded up. I am seriously considering a change of career and moving to either Denver, Portland or Florida, the problem here is that I see a lot of other black guys killing it in Oklahoma. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, whether I should move and change careers ...

I can confirm it's the "city" and not us. Go to Dallas which is 3 hours down the road and have your mind blown by the quality change. It's funny, you'd think these Oklahoma girls would be easier since it's kinda off the grid, but it's the opposite.

In my opinion we have a quality drain where all the attractive successful people move to Dallas/Texas. Why stay in OKC ? It's a 4th tier city.

Stuck in OKC for a month of training. Will report on the talent and nightlife.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

Agreed that the bar at Red Prime is a cool little spot.

Unlike places like Manhattan, moderately successful people out in OKC can afford nice houses, or have friends with houses in the suburbs. So, people can hang out and party at home. If you don't believe me, look at Russell Westbrook's Instagram and count how many of his pics are just him wearing an outfit and standing in a driveway. The club and bar scene is kind of lacking because it's not terribly necessary, and even at the expensive restaurants there's often no air of sophistication like you might find in most big cities.

OKC is a good city for people with a big social circle.

My move would probably be to go out with the intention of making friends with some hot girls. Just friends. Get into a social circle. They will invite you to parties and gatherings. From there, run game on their friends.

I was in OKC for a few days about 6 weeks ago.

It seems like a terrible city to get women, maybe one of the worst in the country as far as physical quality goes. The people seemed relatively nice by USA standards. The nightlife also seemed quite awful.

Tulsa, on the other hand had ok nightlife and slightly better women.

If it was me, I would just move to Dallas. Much hotter women and no state tax.

Indeed, quality is abysmal here.

I would imagine OKC to be one of the fattest cities in the country, so just finding a skinny girl would probably be an uphill battle there.

However, does anyone know much about Tulsa? I also have the impression that it has hotter, skinnier, and blonder girls than OKC.

You are not wrong. Many people like to eat to excess here. It is everywhere and seems to be a given. Even in the mall, I see some women in sweats walking and eating while shopping and these ladies are the type that should be focusing on portion control the most as they could increase their SMV a couple of points just by eating right.

So you will find a lot of sadness but at least there are a number of 5s, and 6s that are the cute girlfriend types that have 10 or 15 extra pounds. There are even a couple of 7s and 8s but not like what you would find in other major cities and they get a ton of attention here.

I don't see why it would be any different. Any difference would be negligible and they have about 200,000 less people too. Prior posts would suggest Stillwater and Norman since they are college towns can be better options.

Mini update on OKC:

Daygame:

As others have said, this city seems to be a hard place to do daygame is because it tends to be very spread out and the obesity issue limits the opportunities in areas that do get some foot traffic. Here, is a breakdown of some of the spots I tried out:

1. Penn Square Mall- the biggest mall in OKC but not a lot of talent to choose from. And worse, what little talent there is, they will most likely have boyfriends. But it is one of the few places where you do have some foot traffic. The other mall in the area called I think Quail Springs Mall gets even less people so is not worth the effort. Honestly, you might be better off going to Norman and visiting the Sooner mall because you probably find more college age, attractive women.

2. Bricktown- simply does not enough foot traffic to justify trying to daygame here. Perhaps it is different in warmer weather, but during the day on my trip there just wasn't enough people to bother. If you must, Fuzzy Tacos seems to be a good place to find what few women are present during the lunch hour. There are other restaurants too but their canal or riverwalk is setup different than say the San Antonio Riverwalk as they lack the outdoor seating where you can approach women on the patios. During the day, I just didn't see that many single people as most were couples and families.

3. Lake Hefner- in year's past, I have been to this area which is by Nichols Hills. It can be a good place to daygame in warmer weather as you meet women who are jogging, taking pictures by the lighthouse or out walking their dogs. But during the colder months, it thins out the herd. This would be a good place to go on a Saturday or Sunday.

Nightgame:

1. Gastropub on Claussen- they actually have two of these now. I went on Saturday night during the OU game. Surprisingly, it was not as packed as you would think and almost all the women were with dates so hardly any single women to approach on this night. Perhaps the second location has diluted the number of women who now go here. Still, it can be a pretty good bar for approaching if the numbers are present. This does tend to have mostly a 30 something crowd or older crowd with some 20 somethings thrown in.

2. Lobby Bar- I really like the vibe of this bar. It is relaxed and mellow like a good lounge bar. On the day I attended there were few people present but everything is present for this to work well. I wonder if I left a little too early in the evening. Even if this isn't the type of place that packs in the women, it would still be a solid venue change place as it has a number of small tables and booths that are good for escalation. It also had a 30 something crowd or older with some 20 somethings thrown in. This bar has potential and should be in your rotation if nothing else as a venue change if was staying nearby.

3. Pump Bar- As the OP says, this caters more towards 20 somethings and has a college bar type feel to it. It is a little dirty and cheap and you would feel funny dressed up here. However, on a busy day, I can see how the seating outside makes it easy to meet people going around to different tables.

4. Bricktown- this area does get pretty good foot traffic at night on Saturday night, very little traffic on Thursday night and some traffic on Friday night. They also have a few food trucks posted up which can make for a good post up spot later in the evening.

Random notes:

1. Saw a large number of mixed couples of black men with white women. Probably the most I have seen anywhere else in the country. Also, noticed a lot of the bars had a strong preference for rap music. So this would seem to be a good city for black men who like white women.

2. There is a growing hispanic population here as well. This is a marked departure from even 10 years ago and you are seeing the hispanic influence in food and culture. I was surprised to see as much Spanish being spoken as I did here in OKC. This is an opportunity area that should be explored further.

3. The challenge here is finding other ways to get large amounts of foot traffic during the day. I suspect I would look into various festivals, state fairs, farmer's markets and so on to see what else might be available to where women would show up if I lived here. Otherwise, you would have to rely more on social circle game or internet dating.

4. If I had to do it over again, I would not have stayed in Bricktown and chose the area north of it as you would get cheaper prices and it would be closer to more of the places I ended up targeting. The Bricktown area has inflated prices to begin with and then also has a little racket going with their parking. You could get cheaper pricing by staying to the north and I believe avoid the parking racket too. Plus, you could simply uber into Bricktown to check out their bar scene if you desired.

I wish I had more time right now to put into this reply. I am in OKC some of the time but working most of the time while in OKC and have just had continuously negative experiences here and positively continuous experiences in Latin America.

However, with that said, the biggest change has been the rise of the Mid-Town area. I was there to meet a colleague for lunch and it was the opposite of the sausage and fatty fest that this town has become. I will try to dig up some locations but one which keeps coming up is Fassler Hall. Their are definitely day game options in that area also.
