The key would have been Stan's final statement.
"This is going to be really hard."

If actual, legitimate unification for the human race was possible or easy (above all the petty squabbles),
it wouldn't need to be addressed. It would just be.

Of course humans being glorified gibbering monkeys, prone to fits of violence. Well it's just a pipe dream.
Can't really expect a mere cartoon to be the pinnacle of enlightenment.
Yet it can be mere entertainment.

Lame and anti-climatic with a dash of anti-gun thrown in.

People here are trying too hard to read into every episode and whether South Park is "with them or against them."

The show has been its own thing, separate from mainstream culture, for a while. And in many ways it's just a vehicle for the creators' views on current issues, which don't fit into a clearly defined ideological space.

Would I have liked PC to be trashed more? Of course. But South Park did it in a way that works for them. Having a bunch of blue-haired cultural marxists come out and spouting the things we want them to spout wouldn't have fit into the character of the show at all - it's just what we want to hear.

I've noticed this sort of polarization in red pill spaces lately. My personal belief is that part of being a man and red pill is looking at each issue and deciding for yourself how you feel about it. We have all swallowed the "big" red pill on women: understanding their nature and behavior, in spite of everything society is saying. Other issues aren't so clear cut. But now if someone is an atheist or doesn't put Putin on a pedestal, they are automatically in the enemy camp.

It was a weak ending, but I get the impression Matt and Trey are using the show as a soapbox for their own complaints against certain groups.

The complaint against "Ads" and "being PC" sound more to me like Matt and Trey are getting a lot of pushback from the network and advertisers over the content of their show. Normally they wouldn't care and just go on doing what they do, but I get the impression they're getting old and tired. Not to mention there may be some contractual obligations forcing them to tone the show down.

The kicker at the end of the episode got me too, "We can all be PC."
Stan "Well this is going to be hard."

The ending also doesn't make any sense. It's revealed that PC principal is himself an ad.....but then the next episode he's fighting against them?

I've been watching South Park for a long long time, so I'll put my two cents.

Anyways the third episode in literally every three part South Park episode is usually the worst; Prime example being Imagination Land Part Three, which was way worst then the first two episodes of the trilogy. Same thing with the Simpsons Did It. Etc..etc...

Sometimes I wonder if the reason they do this is so that the episodes age better as time moves on, because I would legit love to show kids, (If I ever manage to have any in this day n' age) How badass T.V shows were. Then I also wonder if it's just because they are lazy and decide to go do more fun things like sex, sleep and fun. Either way South Park manages to be better than most T.V shows that are on now.

Only other show that I would love to go see dump on SJW culture would be Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but they already did that in such an indirect way.[Image: banana.gif]

It felt like the ending of this season was the end of a first act - and that the next two seasons will be act two and three of a larger story.

Act one was the rise of PC. That means act two is going to be peak PC, and act three, PC will fall in some way.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but this is the first time South Park has done season to season continuity like this.

I thought the gun show as dog show thing was kind of funny, but the only way the ending doesn't feel like a cop-out is if they're doing this three act structure - and the South Park writers are all about story structure.

South Park creators don't push agendas, they sling arrows at everybody because it's fun/punk. They've stated this countless times. People getting mad because they talked about gun control are showing some real weaknesses.

If I was serious about shit, I would be offended by the guns and stuff, "Argh, they made fun of gun rights!", but, they did solve their problems, got their issues aired out.
So maybe the episode was pro-gun owner?

Nothing nearly so sophisticated. They're making fun of the mexican standoff trope where two characters in a movie will whip out guns, and stand there having a long-ass dialogue instead of just shooting each other.....and how such standoffs inevitably lead to key plot revelations or an uncomfortable truth about one of the characters coming out.

Yeah, that last episode was not nearly so strong.

Sometimes they just make a dud episode. Each episode is conceived and put together in six days. They have to put something out, even if they're not 100% happy with it, or it may be incoherent.

I wonder if it may be a kind of cliff hanger to next season. Or maybe they were just improvising it from week to week and there was no easy conclusion for certain themes they ran with.

Never watched Southpark before this season, but I am not impressed - aside from some jokes left and right, it's the same mainstream propaganda all around. SJWs with the PC principal came out as real badasses who kick ass and are some kind of disciplined lone warriors. Fuck them - this is so far removed from reality that I have to vomit in my mouth. After that show the entire fat, weakly deluded SJW community can pat themselves collectivly on the back of how brave and fantastic they are.

Just watched the last episode. "Beautiful Yorkshire 33mm. Australian semi automatic. Pekingese glock." I'm pro-gun rights and I thought it was hilarious.

It seems they are using this season as cliffhanger for next season. It's cool to see the show evolve. Last season they used recurring jokes and themes throughout episodes (gluten makes your dick fly off, Randy is Lorde, etc.) But this season was completely connected. I'm betting they continue the story line next fall and keep it going.

Zel, I think that to make a true judgement on SP you should watch their older seasons, season 7 for example, or really any season till Season 13 is incredible. This season ended a bit flat, though I don't think it was anti-gun at all. It was still the best of the post-Book of Mormon seasons.

If you think that, try watching the old death camp of tolerance and Mr Garriisons fancy new vagina episodes.

I decided to watch the new season after seeing it recommended here.

Got to the second episode, which is dedicated to showing how illegal immigrants are people just like us who just want a better life and people are ridiculous bigots if they think otherwise.

I agree with Zelcorpion. If people enjoy watching the show, cool, but it's nothing more than typical SJW bullshit.

I called it pretty specifically on the third to last episode of the season. But I was expecting it, and I still don't hold it against Matt and Trey.

Even though the whole inversion of SJWs and what they actually look like in real life was clever... they still should have gone and just made them the faggot bitch-men they are in real life. It did become a glorification of SJWs in the end and glamorized them. Even the negative jabs, like Pussy Crusher, paint them in too positive a light.

I saw it in a different way - the PC bros are the self-image of the real SJW manginas.

There are only two reasons why a man would go SJW:

1. Because they think they're going to 'get lucky' if they say the magic words "I'm a feminist" and "check your privilege".

2. Self-loathing - this is why they hate 'jocks and bros', because they like to see themselves as powerful and sexually attractive, and having a real man around punctures the illusion.

"I'd hate myself if I had that kind of attitude, if I were that weak." - Arnold

The reason was probably even simpler than that: they thought having PC principal be an ultra-violent fratbro would be the funniest possible way to portray them.

Interesting take on that series:

New South Park!

They have already made fun of the National Anthem outrage, the fact that women's comics suck balls and just talk about their vaginas, outrage over internet "hate", and the fact that the new Ghostbusters sucked.

Unfortunately Parker and Stone don't like Trump so that might be a disappointment.

The latest South Park episodes clearly are utterly anti-Trump. They paint TheCunt Turdsandwich as a competent official.

South Park is similar to some feminists who oppose the gender-188-pronouns bullshit, but are still set in fake doctrines and utter liberal fantasies.

That is how indoctrination works - over time - at first they push forward a bit, then get resistence at other points. The next series after South Park will take the slippery slope further and will balk at pedophiles. Then 25 years later pedophilia will be hip and trendy and they will balk at sexual-snuff practices and why it's not progressive to disembowel a 3yo girl.

South Park are molded by the very same mindsets. No mainstream program in the West will be promoted unless it has massive propaganda in it - whether the creators are even aware of it or not does not matter.

The true anti-establishment series seldom bring up propaganda or none at all. Currently in terms of cartoons only Japanese manga are doing that. You cannot show your kid any Disney movie now without getting a chocolate full of turds.

Fuck South Park:

They've been making fun of everyone on all sides since they started. During the lonely PC 90s and 2000s they were sometimes the only voice in North America that wasn't completely kowtowed and pussified.

These are benign Trump jokes along with a whole host of shotgun blasts at everyone. I wouldn't worry about it.

It may just be an off season.

These aren't benign Trump jokes in the slightest especially as portraying him not knowing what to do in a crisis situatation.

You think our lame dume community organizer knew any better when Russia entered Syria?

They bet on a Hillary victory and the last episode shows it. Southpark, like the Simpsons and Family Guy are so long in the tooth, it's time for them to get to their finales and go to rest already.
