She was born wealthy and even better well-connected, which partly explains why she got so many lucrative deals at age 23 while others are ignored for doing much greater work for decades.

Her parents could have paid 5000$ a month for diet and trainers, but it's not about that, because even with that scenario you would have to want to eat more healthy, workout for real and be willing to change a bit. That is not what Lena Dunham and her brand of feminism is about. Money only helps you to lose weight. You still have to desire change and exert the self-discipline.

South Park keeps knocking these out of the park. Addresses the gay obsession and even the affirmative consent issue a little bit in tonight's episode. It's not as funny, but they're talking about the issues others won't talk about.

I lol'd at the Japanese song at the end when he went "...we must hold them in ZA HIGHEST HONORU GANBARAI IRASHAI!". I was kinda expecting they'd do this on a japanessu-san song and was not disappointed

Lena Dunham should try a liposuction. I have a persistent abdominal fat and I can't afford one.

I come from a family of SJW's. Real left wing male feminist types. They love Southpark. They whole heartedly believe that they are poking fun at the right.

I guess that's part of the reason the show is so successful. It effectively convinces everyone that they are making fun of those who don't agree. Running that perfect tight rope of perception.

Yep, this episode was pretty damn good.

I rewatched it, and it makes more sense to me now. The first time around, I was like "wtf did I just watch??"

At certain moments, both Tweek and Craig mention how much they don't want to pretend to be something they're not.

It's a bizarro version of a gay dude staying in the closet. In 2015 South Park, society celebrates them more if they were gay than the opposite.

I just watched the new South Park episode (S19E06) and how acceptable it is in South Park to be gay has shocked me. It's how Gen. Z is going to be where it seems like Craig and Butters become gay due to social traits even tho they aren't gay. This is the children of the future in the West where we know children/teenager will go with social traits 9/10 of the time. They want to be accepted and if being gay is how to be accepted in the future.... What a mess up world the west is now! It just makes me want to work extra hard so i can head back to the East ASAP!

Favorite line in the last episode:

"Our town has only had a Whole Foods for three weeks, and we already have our first gay kids. So cool!"

This actually explains some observations I was making of the recent episodes, I was actually confused, glad you made this comment.

Some in this thread are quick to point out how they make fun of the left, feminists, SJWs and trannies.

But are they really?

The tranny issue was left 50/50, with people accepting Randy being Lorde but at the same time Cartman stopped pretending to be one. Bonus points for making fun of Bruce Jenner though.... ok 60/40.

In the Canadian migration episode, yes they made fun of the SJW mentality of open boarders but they did so with Canadians, kept it very neutral. They also poked fun at Donald Trump both directly as the Canadian south park character portraying him and indirectly via Mr Garrison (his extreme view on immigration i.e. fucking them all to death).

Also why do they portray all the PC guys as ripped college aged dudes when we all know these white knights in real life are complete losers. Seems to cater to these types that watch it make them feel all big n shit.

In the fat acceptance episode it turns from making fun of fat people to making fun of the idea of safe spaces and online harassment. So while yes they attack something very close to SJW's it doesn't end up attacking them for being fat, that's kinda lost in the whole progression of the episode by including basically everyone who's insecure about something (Randy, Vin Disel etc...). Once again sparing them from an episode completely aimed at shaming them.

I'd still say they poke more fun at PC culture as a whole (since the whole season seems to be dedicated to it), they are too pussy to go all out with it. They still have time to redeem themselves, will see how it continues.

That's mostly because South Park aggressively makes fun of religion.

I wonder if anyone noticed that this most recent episode addressed the Syrian migrant situation and ISIS.

The homeless people represented the Syrian migrants and the kids playing ninja and scaring away everybody represented ISIS.

Once the ninjas were removed, the homeless returned to their town.

One more thing I noticed was how the episode suggested that people will say they hate the police but only when they don't need them. When they do need them, then their opinions shift.

My confidence is so high that I should probably trademark it

Looks like this Wednesday is about winning the discussion by claiming to be more of a victim than the next guy.

Hilarious how PC Principal called for a spotter when he was arguing with Jimmy

So listen I think your really pretty and interesting and I'd kinda like to take you upstairs and totally crush your pussy. Would that be acceptable?
Oh...uh...I guess it would
No i'm sorry I need affirmative consent. I'll need you to say "Yes you may take me me upstairs and crush my pussy at this time."

It was about time they hit the 'PC' issue hard. They achieved that tonight!

Well done Matt & Trey!

Hopefully more TV shows won't be as scared to repeat the same message in the near future!
