Helen Mirren Thinks Men Shouldn't Put Their Arms On a Woman's Shoulders

Helen Mirren has stern words for men who put their arm around their girlfriend's shoulders

Quote:Quote:

Dame Helen Mirren has said men should not put their arm around their girlfriend’s shoulders because it looks like a gesture of ownership.

The Hollywood actress made the remark as she likened women to toddlers who are still trying to find their way in the age of sexual liberation.

The 70-year-old who made her career in TV series Prime Suspect said: “It annoys me when I see men with an arm slung round their girlfriend’s shoulders. It’s like ownership.

“Of course, when you’re young, you want the guy to take your hand and look after you.

“But when I see girls being leaned on, I want to say, ‘Tell him to get his damned arm off your shoulder’
.”

The outspoken star added: “Women are still toddlers in this modern world, trying to find their position in the age of sexual liberation, birth control, education and financial independence. We’re still finding our path.”

Her comments came during an interview in the Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine in which she also suggested marrying late in life is a “good idea” and that young women these days have a “princess complex” because they want it all.

Dame Helen, who married US film director Taylor Hackford aged 52 in 1997 - 11 years into their relationship, is vocal about sexism and in June blasted the Hollywood film industry for its alleged sexist double standards.

She said at the time: “It’s f***ing outrageous. It’s ridiculous. Honestly, it’s so annoying. We all watched James Bond as he got more and more geriatric, and his girlfriends got younger and younger. It’s like ‘grrrr’. It’s so annoying.”

Newsflash – women like it if a man puts his arm around them. They feel protected. Also women love being touched up if they’re into a man – a woman will slap a guy if he grabs arse on the subway, but she gets wet when her boyfriend is squeezing her arse.

I think Helen's being miserable cow because she hit the wall a long time ago. Is she trying to make hover hands compulsory?

What do you guys think about this?

She's right, it is a gesture of ownership. I tell my girl "I own your pussy". She loves it.

I'm still a little surprised that they didn't eat her alive for this one. Women are still toddlers in this modern world? That sounds like something I'd get kicked out of a bar for saying.

I agree.

You put your arm around your girl's waist or on the small of her back.

It's typical feminist drivel and further proof that feminism is a giant shittest for modern society. If you don't tell them to just shut the fuck up they'll never stop.

You've had sexual liberation and birth control for 50 years in the West.

You've had access to education for more than 100 years in many holdout states in the US, and as many as 262 years in countries like Sweden and Russia. Even Egypt has had compulsory female education for 90 years.

You've had the right to financial independence within marriage from anywhere between 140-160 years in most US States, more in other countries.

How much more time do women need?

What an ignorant, patronising, ugly old woman.

I don't think women change throughout the entirety of their lifespan

Postmenopausal women who have had no kids should be banned from speaking on anything aside from their professional careers. They are a danger to society as they are all sour old wind bags, and strait up haters who talk way to much shit to confuse young women. This woman has no right to speak on what is "good for a woman" as she shunned her natural calling to produce children and family.

She didn't get married until 52, essentially just marrying her best friend since they likely would not let her marry her cats. Whatever hilly Estate she molds in each winter must get lonley for all these years with all her money and accolades that don't do a good job keeping her warm like a man or children/grandchildren would do.

Agian. No children. For all the talents she will brag to you about that she has put forward in film and stage she will have no daughter or son to carry on that supposed talent or traditions she "worked sooo hard for".

Now with no other reason to get by (too old for hollywood, to old for kids, to old for senior discounts, to old to get new cats who all grew to old and croaked), she feels emboldened and compelled to tell young women what's good for them. When she was young she had the world at her finger tips as a beaute woman who likely never had to struggle for anything once she hit 16 years of age.

She needs to shut up. What a waste.

Sounds like she's jealous of the attention younger women get.

Objectively speaking, the post-menopausal childless woman demographic is the least valuable group biologically.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

If I ever saw Helen Mirren in public, I would take my thumb and slide it under the back of the low riding jeans and into the ass-crack of whatever girl I am with and just walk around like that. Bet she'll like them apples.

There's never been a bitterer bunch of hags than what the 1970s anti-men brigade has aged into.
