Should Biden Run?

I respect Joe Biden a lot, and I think he should run, but it genuinely appears that he won't be going for it. It would be a shame if the only viable Democratic candidate was Hillary. I know Sanders is gaining some steam, but I don't think he has a chance past the primaries.

Who else would like to see Biden run for President?

Normally, I would say "I don't really care", but if it gets Hillary's ugly face off of my television that much sooner, I'm all for it.

I watched the first few minutes of this. I was stunned by how much Biden has aged since the last time I saw him on video. He seems completely heartbroken, and an old man. I think that the idea that he should run for any kind of office is ludicrous.

He is almost 73 years old, I also doubt a man of this age would want to spend his last years trying to run a country

Reagan was in his 80s when he finished office. I think it depends on the guy.

He's been running for president since the 1980s, and there's a reason he's never been taken seriously. He's a flawed candidate.

Take care of those titties for me.

He's pretty much said he doesn't have it in him. If he changes his mind now I think it will be hard to believe him.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Biden is a lazy sycophant whose entire career is based on riding opportunistic coattails. He's known for plagiarizing entire speeches and reciting them verbatim because he probably just doesn't give a fuck. I'm not even sure that he even takes his career seriously aside from the relative financial stability and influence it gives him.

If he was in office i'd guarantee you he'd toe the (closeted neo-con) mainstream Democratic party line hard. He would not be different from Hillary at all. His whole career is basically safe self interested moves to climb up and making contrarian statements when it serves his public image.

People are always looking for a change from the status quo. A Biden presidency would literally not be any different than the last 8 years of Obama.

I'm in favor of any Democrat running who is easiest to defeat. Joe has a ton of skeletons in his closet and would be taken out easily.

I think his whole "will he/won't he" act is a smokescreen to give Hillary enough to time to reinvent herself again. Look who he's going after, Bernie Sander's base which is mostly big labor. He'll get votes from them, then swing his support to Hillary and they'll follow. The thing is, Joe and Hillary hate each other so he must be expecting a massive payoff to play along.

And Bernie is such a effeminate girl he'll just let it happen.

Biden authored the VAWA and doesn't seem aware of his own double-standard when he gives speeches about how his sister used to beat him up:

“And I have the bruises to prove it,” he said, at a senate hearing on violence against women, December 11, 1990. To make sure the audience knew this wasn’t a joke, he added, “I mean that sincerely. I am not exaggerating when I say that.”

He comes across as a likable guy, but I cannot see him as president. Has there been any other politician who has put his foot in his mouth more often? The guy's the king of the gaffe.

Of course he should.

It would make the Trumpening all the better with yet another democrat's hopes of furthering the ruining of this nation, dashed, alongside with Bill Clinton's sexual attraction to his husband.

Biden is a clown.

There used to be a long running joke since the 70s or 80s that if there was ever a black president he would have to pick an even more hated minority or someone completely incompetent for vice president as an insurance policy.

For all the reasons posters listed above and ones i don't have time to post make a Biden presidency unrealistic.

It's stunning how there is just no establishment candidate on either side who could drum up the bit of excitement and passion necessary to take on The Donald. It seems all set up in his favor, like a pre-written script. Kind of like the rise of Hitler.

More like Reagan, or Andrew Jackson. You do know Trump's daughter is Jewish right?

And that this is America not Germany?

I was referring to the fact that the hour seems to be tailor-made for Trump, as the 1930s was for Hitler in Germany.

Trump may well be on-board with Israel and quite kosher, and not at all fascist. That was not my point. Sometimes subtleties are lost.

I'm surprised more democrats aren't chomping at the bit to take on the current collection of losers. Like 2008, this election is ripe for an unknown to come out of nowhere and win it.

Honestly anything to get Hillary off of the TV will make me happy. I also happen to know this kid I went to school who works on her "communications" team. His twitter account for himself and her campaign is all women's rights BS. Kid was a straight up a tool when I knew.

A little scheudenfreud (sp?) would make me immensely happy if Hillary loses the primary again.

If anyone will steal away the democratic nomination it would have to be Bernie Sanders or as I like to call him Colonel Sanders. If he grew the right type of facial hair and wore the southern plantation outfit he'd bear an uncanny likeness by my guess.

He's like political junk food for the masses. This is why dems seem to love him so much. He's a NY Jew of the people doing a little shuckin' and jivin' with the media song and dance and they are feeding on it like pigs to slop. Plus he has civil rights cred and once sat in a hallway somewhere waving some signs to get laid by hairy armpitted marxists back in the day. The NYC fems/hipster set are practically lining up to tongue the KFC popcorn chicken dingleberries out of his ass.

I think Biden should run just for the deluge of hilarious media interactions. That guy does not give a crap about anything except grabbing asses. He's also not stupid and probably knows that if he runs...the amount of sexual assault allegations that will come out will make Bill Cosby look like a fedora wearing m'lady.

One of the best decisions I've made in my life is to disconnect from cable/tv. I only watch the occasional show on PBS.

He's a career politician. Has wanted to be President forever. Don't see why that would change now.

I think there are plenty of people who would prefer the current status-quo over a Bush/Clinton presidency. Of course, Trump changes that. I think the direction of this entire race lies on whether Trump makes it through the primaries.

I don't think Clinton can really reinvent herself at this point. She's been in the public eye for ages. I don't think a Biden run would help her out. I think there are a lot of Democrats who are uncomfortable with Hillary and are willing to put their support on anyone else who is not a cuckold like Bernie, and isn't Hillary.
