Politically correct "Lord of the Flies"

A classic revisited to fit the SJW paradise:

Politically correct Lord of the flies

“I feel unsafe!” Percival cried, one final time, as he was swept out to sea.

“And another thing,” Jack said as he was being eaten by the snake and also a large boar. “This conch of yours. It’s clearly vaginal, but you’re using it as some sort of musical instrument to dominate us. That’s extremely problematic.

At least they put it in the humor section so they even know that it's a joke. Also, have any of these SJW's heard a large group of boys speak to eachother.

Girls are underrepresented in Lord of the Flies. That needs to change.

Also, there are no minorities in it. Thats problematic.

I never read the Lord of the Flies and had no desire to because of school.

But now I want to read the "politically incorrect version".

If this were a reverse psychology move to get me to read the book, it'd be a stroke of genius.

Not to say that the fact that they call the only body-positive character "Piggy" triggers me. I cant even. I literally cant even right now.

Whatever you do, avoid the British black & white 1960's(?) film based on LotF.
Great novel, yet that movie was irritating as buggery.

They're going to have an all-female remake, but the progressives already don't like it:
Quote:Quote:

But will a Flies remake be rebellious? Consider the possible tacks the Flies directors might take. First, they could change only the genders of the characters, leaving the plot intact. If you don’t remember the book, the society the boys creates quickly collapses, their focus on survival being overtaken and destroyed by pettiness and competition. Having women undergo the same fate would sacrifice any hope the directors might have of making the movie pro-women. It would be perceived as insensitive and untruthful. The directors, after all, are men.

If the Flies remake is to be celebrated as empowering for women, the directors can take the second tack, which is to have the characters succeed. By overcoming the problems of the male-dominated story, they will demonstrate the superiority of women. They will shatter sexist gender roles and chauvinistic predictions that they will fail. But the directors can’t go this route either, because Golding already took it by implication. In portraying women as the heroes where men have failed, the directors will be doing something wholly unoriginal, and wholly un-rebellious. And the progressive viewers don’t want to see that.

I heard that the other day they were planning on a remake with an all female cast. Talk about the easiest screen play of all time to write.
