Alexander Carter-Silk was named and shamed on Twitter by 27-year-old human rights lawyer Charlotte Proudman who posted her reply to the message online.

Proud Man? Damn, that is such a great name, and it's wasted on this useless feminist.

I kind of think that this guy got what he deserved. If he was going to say anything, he either needed to go all out without apology and/or fear or keep his mouth shut.

In this case, giving the typical disclaimer before making a manicured display of interest would only infuriate any feminist lawyercunt (my new favorite word thanks to Heartiste).

He came off as a pussy right from the git-go. He then apologized profusely after his public shaming.

In these situations one should always ask themselves, "What would Donald do?"

If we've reached a point at which the message sent by that solicitor was worthy of public shaming, then it is an indictment on the society we live in, not on him.

Late 20's female law-student/barrister? Quite possibly the worst female you want to interact with. Dude's biggest crime was being completely socially unaware. His name is an indicator of his class. He’s probably from the UK upper classes. A lot of the upper classes and aristocracy in the UK have doubled barreled surnames. This is nothing to do with the equality bullshit around nowadays.

She has been warned she has ‘ruined her career’ by criticising Mr Carter-Silk and speaking out about sexism. Franklin Sinclair, a partner in one of the country’s largest criminal law firms, warned she could be blacklisted.

That said, she has definitely shot herself in the head professionally. Criminal Law and the upper echelons of the Bar are still pretty conservative circles, quite aside from whether men have the upper hand there. And more generally in the profession you're expected to know your fucking place as low man on the totem pole when first leaving law school to practice in the commercial world. This deliberate choice to burn someone senior in your own chosen profession, someone you didn't even know personally, is going to make you the equivalent of an Indian untouchable professionally.

The blacklisting will have nothing to do with her womanhood. Rather, everything to do with the fact she has demonstrated, by her own hand and quite deliberately, that she lacks the professional control and reserve a barrister needs in order to practice and be afforded the tremendous privilege that is immunity from defamation when cross-examining someone on the witness stand. Trying to rattle an opponent is a common and legitimate tactic in a court, and this one has just demonstrated right where her glass jaw lies: between her legs.

Law firm partner hits out at female lawyer after LinkedIn sexism row

Quote:Quote:

A partner at one of the UK’s largest criminal law firms has stood by tweets saying he would not give work to a lawyer at the centre of a sexism row over a LinkedIn message sent to her by a solicitor 30 years her senior.

Human rights lawyer Charlotte Proudman said she had been told she faced “career suicide” but did not regret her decision to make public a message from Alexander Carter-Silk that commented on her “stunning” photo. She took a screenshot of the message and posted it on Twitter, along with her terse reply, and the tweet went viral.

Franklin Sinclair, from the London and Manchester-based legal aid firm Tuckers said he would not give work to Proudman, following an internet and media backlash against her decision to speak out about sexism in the legal profession, writing on Twitter in a message to Proudman: “Nomorebriefs4u.”

Quote:Quote:

@CRProudman what an awful thing to do, what kind of world do we live in when a man can't give a lady a compliment.getalife. Nomorebriefs4u

Quote:Quote:

Franklin Sinclair (@FMStuckers) September 9, 2015
@CRProudman I should think you've blacklisted yourself from more than just sexist ones! Anyway send my regards to Michael Mansfield

Sinclair, who has a reputation for being outspoken on the social network and once appeared on ITV documentary series The Briefs, later changed tack and said he was most concerned about how Proudman had published a private message without the permission of the sender.

Sinclair told the Guardian he stood by his tweet that he would not brief Proudman. “No, I wouldn’t,” he said. “It’s because of her lack of judgment and her breach of confidence,” he said. “She sent it without thinking, I am sure, without even asking advice from her chambers. If a member of my staff had done it, I would be furious about how that reflects on the firm.

“There is clearly sexism in all walks of life and all professions that affects both men and women. I had a gentleman who saw me today who said he had to sit separately from the women he works with because of how crude and sexual their conversations are; he feels intimidated. It’s not right either way, and in the workplace it’s unlawful.”

He said Carter-Silk’s message was inappropriate, but should have been dealt with by a polite message. “I do see, however, that many people will think twice about sending such a message on LinkedIn again, which is what she wanted. She’s certainly got a lot of publicity for herself.”

Forget the War on Women. We have a War or Words.

This is yet another example of the left's misuse of a word. In this case, it's "misogynistic." The word means to hate women -- i.e. "You stupid bitch" or "Ugly slut!"

But a compliment isn't "misogynistic." It might be inappropriate or awkward, but it's given in the spirit of praise, not hate.

So why does this woman -- and others on the left -- use this word to mean things other than hate? That's easy: So they can smear men for anything they feel like.

It's a deliberate perversion of a word for political purposes. The left specializes in "repurposing" words and phrases. This is to control thought.

Words beget thought. If you don't have properly-defined words, your thoughts get muddled. Ever wonder why surgeons have to memorize thousands of names of body parts and chemicals? Because without those WORDS they don't know precisely what to do. Take away the WORDS and you have a knife cutting into skin willy-nilly.*

We take words for granted, but they matter. The left knows this and tries to mess up our thoughts and interactions by subtly altering the language.

Another of my pet peeves (which I've explained on here before) is the expanded definition of the phrase "single mom" for political purposes. It SHOULD mean "unmarried mother" but has come to mean everything from divorced women to widows with kids.

Why did the left do this? They did it so we can't judge women who wantonly have kid after kid with bad boys. Because now if we judge single mothers, they can lump in Sept. 11 widows and women whose husbands left them. Then, all of a sudden, you're the bad guy for judging.

Whenever possible, it's good to call the left out on its War on Words.

****

All that said, I think this was a pity compliment and the guy got burned. Women who have bizarre Beatle haircuts often have issues and don't want to be complimented.

I say we institute a rule about this: Never compliment a woman with hair above the shoulders because they have issues.

If you want to compliment someone on a "pudding bowl" haircut, write a letter to the Fab Four. In 1964.

* I know I've written all this on here before. But they don't teach you this in school and I think it really, really, really needs to be emphasized. Had I known all this at 22 instead of 42, life would have been easier.

One has to wonder if such a nice professional photo was some kind of honey trap for exactly this purpose. It really is a cut above the quality of photos I've seen on linked in.

I have four WNB rules of thumb, and this woman hits three of them:

1. Short hair.

2. Dead eyes.

3. Affected personas (goths, punks, hair dye) - good short term, hellish long-term

4. Careers where they have administrative power over other people. Whilst this includes lawyers, middle management, politics and human resources, the real danger zone is being the gateway to what the mind is allowed to know: education; journalism; libraries; publicly-funded television.

Yep. It is a war on meaning. The ultimate power is to have nonsense go unquestioned. And to be able to say the opposite of what you said yesterday and get away with it.

I once read an old interview of Oriana Fallaci with Dean Martin (in a book called The Egotists). In the preamble to the interview Fallaci talks to Martin's wife who was a "blue eyed blond". She tells Falaci she "can't shine, it's like a when a man you madly admire taps you on the shoulder and kisses you on the forehead". That's how an alpha behaves.

Quote:Quote:

The female barrister who accused another lawyer of being sexist for admiring her photograph wrote a “vitriolic” email to her elderly grandmother shortly before her death, it has emerged.

An acquaintance of Miss Proudman had claimed she wrote a “vicious” letter to Mrs Bailye in which she allegedly accused her of having failed in life. Mrs Bailye died in April last year aged 83.

We need more feminists like this going public, so people can see what feminism is all about. Hating grandmothers, for one.
