U of Florida to offer counseling to students triggered by non-PC Halloween costumes.

Last year, several universities issued guidelines for appropriate Halloween costumes. I'm guessing carrying around a cum-stained mattress à la Mattress Girl was considered inappropriate.

This year, the Gators have upped their game by offering counseling to any sensitive SJW who witnesses an offensive costume. The great part is that they published the hotline number so we can all flood them with calls! "I just saw a fat gay dude dressed as a woman. Not sure if it's a costume but I vomited for 20 minutes and need counseling, stat!"

The fact that this PC virus about the Halloween costumes is taking over the southern schools is just sad. I remember when I was in school, people used to dress as Indians, police officers, playboy bunnies, firefighters, rednecks, and the like. This was five years ago. If these triggered snowflakes need counseling because they see a certain costume, then they are not ready for the real world.

One can only imagine how they'll react when they see the real life versions of those costumes.

I'm hoping they get so triggered that they suck down a bunch of pills and pass out so the rest of us can actually enjoy Halloween.

A friend of mine recently posted a meme on Facebook reminding parents not to dress their children as Native Americans because its offensive cultural appropriation. I was going to ask if its still okay to play cowboys and Indians but decided against it, I didn't want to trigger anyone.

Saw someone share this on Facebook. Following is the quote going along with it:

Dear parents, please teach your annoying little shits to be sensitive to others. Halloween should be fun for everyone and no one should be confronted with costumes that are comprised of microagressions and cultural appropriation. If your children trigger others by knocking on their door and dehumanizing them, expect legal action. Please share with your friends to make Halloween more tolerant. We encourage you to print this out and put it on your door as a warning. Happy Samhain! So mote it be!

I'm certain the cops will be right on it. Trigger warnings are priority #1.

Seeing this makes me want to dress as a pirate wearing a Brock Turner mask. What better way to trigger these faggots?

And no, I don't think the people who made this are trolls. They actually believe this shit, along with some other crazy shit. Here's a link to their FB page. https://www.facebook.com/Gaias-Dancing-I...376542769/

What's not offensive? How the hell is anyone supposed to know? This is the same thing I argue about with retarded liberals in the writing world, who think writers have a responsibility to be inoffensive.

Ghost = ableist, dead people are offended
Zombie = promotes violence (cannibalism), cultural appropriation (cannibals)
Animal of some kind = cultural appropriation, furries are offended
Scream mask = promotes violence, insensitive to people born with birth defects
Mobster = promotes violence, racist, cultural appropriation
Death w/ scythe = promotes violence, racist against muslims, triggers ill people and those who recently lost loves ones

There is literally no costume possible, including not wearing a costume, that I couldn't easily find excuses to be offended by if I wanted to emulate a liberal fuckwad.

Not to be an old fart or anything, but in 1980, I was at UC Santa Barbara, and there was a costume contest held in one of the dining halls.

There was a straight, Mexican guy dressed like this:

There was a six foot five, gay black guy wearing only a diaper, and body paint like this:

with one of these in his mouth:

[Image: 6dd2a258-6ad8-4520-a8d6-17c071d1f623.jpg...90318_.jpg]

because for some appalling reason he thought blue babies were funny.

There was a group of people dressed like this:

Being led around by guys who looked like this:

because this was the time of the hostage crisis in Iran, and a bunch of Americans were in Iran being held hostage, and President Carter was still wondering what to do about it.

Arguably one of the worst costumes only existed because there was a lagoon on campus. A bunch of guys went out to the lagoon and crawled through the mud and slime until they looked like this:

Then about twenty of them, stinking to high heaven, came in and crawled through the legs of everyone at the costume contest, grossing them out and disgusting them.

None of these costumes won the contest.

What finally happened was, someone made a costume out of tan trashbags and some chicken wire of a huge erect cock, and near the end of things, the cock made its entrance, and someone had drawn a smile on its face, and there was a hole in the end, and a can of whipped cream was stuck out of it, shooting white loads as it made its way to the stage.

The costume looked kind of like this, only not as classy:

As it passed, all the girls put their hands on it and stroked it. Watching it move through the crowd, trying to catch some of the whipped cream in their mouths.

I had a surreal sensation.

It freaked me out, like it was some sort of ancient fertility rite, the girls forgetting who they were and just stroking the massive schlong as it passed by.

What the fuck.

We are the future?

We are fucked.

God I was so naive.

This was before social media. Before widespread shame and acclaim on the internet.

How was I to know it would all get so much worse, and worse in a way that no one would have conceived back then?

Not worse because it would get more degenerate or more intense.

This we could have envisioned.

No.

Worse because people would out of the blue decide that they had a right never to be offended again, that they had a right to a bespoke world that catered to them, personally, instantly, and based on whatever they happened to be feeling at that moment, and based on feelings that they were free, without warning, to change into entirely other feelings, and expect these brand new feelings to be instantly catered to.

Because guess what.

It wasn't that no one took offense back then. I particularly thought the hostage costumes were out of line.

No, the difference was that no one thought their particular offense was important enough to share with everyone, or to get anyone else on board with, or to pass new legislation for.

(Although if we had had social media back then it might have been different altogether, because tech changes, human nature not so much.)

I am so glad that this forum is here, so men, young and old can compare notes on the insanity of modern culture.

Halloween costumes.

Give me a break.

Have these dogs no shame?

Nor more important issues to think about?

And thank you Jesus for a time when a 19 or 20 year old could experiment, and do something stupid, and learn from his mistakes without the whole world knowing about it forever.

I got compassion for you young dudes. The learning curve today is steep enough to be non-negotiable, and guess what again.

It is not your fault.

“The greatest burden a child must bear is the unlived life of its parents.”
