Intel on Austrian women requested

I am seriously thinking about spending some time in Austria - maybe teaching English again in Graz or Vienna - and was wondering whether anybody on here has any experience with Austrian women. My own - very limited - impression of them being somewhat more laid-back and less uptight than German women, although I don't have that much experience to base this on, I must say. I also noticed, curiuosly, when I was flicking through Match.com for Austria and Germany that the women seem on average to be somewhat slimmer than German women and am curious to know whether anybody can confirm this.

So how do Austria women compare when it comes to general levels of approachability, hypergamy, sense of entitlement, et.c.? My baseline comparison is mostly with UK women, by the way, although I do have some experience of dating northern German women.

I'd also be interested to know whether guys generally date down there, like in the UK?

I was in Austria a little over a month ago. I didn't find the girls very impressive, same goes for Germans. In my opinion quality in Munich is higher than in Vienna though.

I only have a handful of days in Vienna to go off of but I did enjoy myself there. In the short time I was there I had two ONS and a few tinder dates that didn't go anywhere, mostly due to time. A spontaneous ONS is quite a rarity for me so it was surprising that I achieved it on back to back nights. You were right in your assessment, they are not as conservative as German girls at the onset (from my small sample size of experience).

As a native from Graz I would say that you can do worse than Austria. Graz is a student-city, so between October and July there are 60.000+ students in town and the quality is decent. Combined with great logistics I dare to say that you will do pretty good.

Hey guys,

Vienna is (if I'm not wrong) the biggest student city in the german speaking area.

Many east european girls are here and you will find definitly a lot of girls for ONS etc. BUT they will be not austrian Girls!

if you want definitly austrian girls you have to find them - there are not many in vienna [Image: biggrin.gif]

Austrian and Viennese girls are definitely not very open to ONS. I guess one could say they are feminist Catholics in a certain sense. As for the Eastern European girls ,in my experience it's a mixed bag. The ones coming here to study are about average or a bit below compared to their home countries. I've found Viennese girls to be just as attractive, sometimes even more. Careerism if rife amongst the EE girls who come here and a lot of them have wealthy parents who work for big multi nationals so it's not that surprising. However, there are always exceptions. If you speak good German you can sometimes meet girls from Poland,Hungary ect who don't speak English and work in very simple low wage jobs such as cleaning and being a kassafrau.(They often won't speak a word of English) Same for former Yugo girls. If you want ONS your best bet is to aim for Erasmus students or tourists. Don't know about Graz ,but for teaching English in Vienna I absolutely would not recommend it. One is better off working here in McDonalds than teaching.

I've visited Graz once before - many moons ago now, though - and it did seem like a very liveable city. The locals definitely seemed more easy-going than Germans north of the Austrian border and the vibe was fairly relaxed. My only worry about Austrian women in general is that they seem rather feminist and so I'd be worried about encountering the sort of cunty, snarky attitudes that one finds widely diffused in the Anglosphere.

Does anybody on here have any information on the following about Austrian women:

(1) Their thinness. Is obesity as widespread there as in the UK, for example?

(2) Their attitude towards men. Are they as antagonistic and cunty towards men as in the Anglosphere? Do they make good LTR material?

(3) The ease of bangability. Not necessarily in terms of ONS, but more in terms of after the course of 2-3 dates.

(4) Level of male thirst. Are the guys there as thirsty as guys in the UK or elsewhere in the Anglosphere?

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. I've found Austrians to be really approachable. A lot of my Austrian approaches have been at festivals though so YMMV. They have that Germanic frigidity, but not to the same extent as Germans. Open them up by teasing the Swiss and Germans.

Never heard of an Austrian girl telling someone to fuck off.

Flirtation, especially of the sarcastic, piss-taking kind, may fly over their heads, and like I said, they will require a fair bit of opening up, like Germans. They may appear prudish on the surface, but scratch beneath that.

No, but neither are they hugely protective of their women.

Well as an Austrian i would say that Austrian women are definitly approchable. You really can't compare them to the Anglosphere. ONS-wise when you go to clubs in Vienna like Volksgarten, Pratersauna or Grelle Forelle there is a good chance for an ONS. It really depends on your game but ONS are far wider spread than one would think. Tinder has gotten quite big as well so if you are into that then try it out. Some of my friends had quite the sucess with it.
Apart from that I think english speaking people do quite well in Austrian clubs because the girls are really into the language. So that gives you a slight edge.
Nowak compared Austrian women to feminist catholics. I would disagree, maybe less about the feminist thing but more about catholics. Most younger people, say under 40, are not very religious and it's not really a big part of daily live and it definitly has no influence on the ONS rate.
I can agree with what JWLZG said. Spot-on!

In my younger days in Europe, my experiences with Austrian women were positive.
But, I am sure just like most of Western Europe, it is not worth... it for the over 35 player, or am I wrong?

Compared to the Anglosphere/Nordic nations there is a huge difference. It's the cultural influence of religion. I have no doubt ONS's do happen though ,just not a good method to rely on. Wien feels like 500,000 people despite being almost 2 mil. It's a big city that's village like and people do need to take care of their reputations.

Most Europeans I've met complained about how busted British chicks are, don't have a large enough sample size of British girls I've met but I'll assume Vienna is slightly better. Probably better LTR than Brits but only by a bit. Yeah after 2 or 3 dates you'll be in the gold. Best way to meet girls outside ones social circle is to do night game,k close than get her digits.
