Tinder for Married guys??

I know plenty of married guys use Tinder.

But for those of who prefer more discretion - is it possible to use Tinder? Once you sign up your pic is available for any woman to see who is swiping, right? No way to sign up and only make your pic available to girls you swipe right, right?

Can I say "right" again???

Possible to maintain discretion and still use it - other than using fake pics? Also - I would create a shell FB account.

Usual Disclaimer - let's not make this a morality thread. If you have an issue with this move to the next thread please.

I believe your Tinder profile will be available to all women who have their filters set to your age and location parameters. If you're looking for a little more discretion I would probably use OKC and post photos where your face is not recognizable, write an interesting profile and describe your situation. Then if you match with someone you can email face photos directly. Women on OKC do this all the time.

Tinder has a mysterious and unpredictable algorithm. There is really no rhyme or reason, that I have been able to find, that makes someones profile not come up one day but come up the next.

I used to think that if you swiped them left before they came across your profile that they would never see you. I mean, if you already swiped left why would there even be a reason for you to show up for them? After some testing I found out that this wasn't true, and that even when you swipe a girl left there is a chance you show up in her feed.

Unfortunately, there is no way around your predicament that I know of. I wish there was. If that option were available I think 99% of people would use it, thus killing Tinder.

Or use POF, you can hide your profile from the search and suggestions.

I can't help but think it would be both funny and not so funny if a married guy goes on tinder on the down low, and ends up finding his own wife on it.

When this happens, should they swipe right, or left?

Tinder for Married guys??

Funny, but true. I'm still technically married, but I installed Tinder the other day for grins. Today I spotted the profile of one of the moms at my kids' school. She knows my STBX a little, not socially but from PTA and shit. Had a 10 second fantasy about fucking her silly (she's 40 but not bad) as a big fuck you to the ex.

Swiped left. I'm a chicken.

Next time swipe right and you can always just tease her about being on tinder if she matches you too. It's easy to play it off as a joke if you get a weird vibe from her.

Ok so another question - thanks for bearing with me.

Could I sign up but only be visible when I travel? - i.e. when the people in my area are not friends/family?

Yes, create your profile once you're at your final destination and then be sure to delete it before you return home. Be sure you select the delete account option in the app settings and not just sign out or remove the app from your phone or else the profile will still exist once you return home. Another option is to "disable discovery" before you return home and you can keep the account active but people will no longer see you. In my opinion it's much safer to delete your account entirely since it takes 2 mins to create a new one whenever you want.

I used fake pictures that didn't show face.

Stole a friends pic of him snowboarding, I snowboard, could easily be me.

Stole a pic of a friend facing away from camera, we have similar body types, and muscular backs

Stole a silhoutte pic of another friend, similar frame as well

I used another photo too, works fine. Best to use the snowboarding/scuba photos for the main ones, theyre interesting, and dont seem to purposefully hide your face

EDIT: BE SURE TO USE FAKE NAME, AGE AND FB

You don't need to delete anything.

You can set your profile in tinder to be 'unseen'. Un-select 'Discovery' in App settings.

If you're using a fake, or second facebook account, make sure your pictures are private(tinder can still access them because you allow it to) and make sure you use an email that isn't known(you can search for accounts on facebook using email address).

So, when you travel, you could spoof your GPS beforehand, and build up some matches in the area you are travelling to. Game them, get bangs, finish travelling, and set your tinder to hidden when you return.

Revisiting this one - have a trip coming up soon.

Could one also put a few pics in the fake FB profile that show no faces and reset them as profile pic when you return home? Probably better to just delete the account tho.

When I delete the account I assume no traces are left on my phone - right Like in settings...?

Has anybody here used tinder seduction to get the 50 friends on your fake FB?

I'm pretty sure it was Gmac, that on another thread, suggested finding and using a picture of a guy that looks like you....

Plausible deniability

Yes. Had them within the day.
But I believe, you don’t have to have 50 friends any more (instead you have to verify your phone number) [Image: icon_question.gif]

Interesting theory about such a feature killing off Tinder or to put it another way, with a few tweaks, the new Tinder. I'm sure the algorithm can be mimicked or "borrowed" to make this happen. I'll run this past my business guy and see if it is worth pursuing from a business perspective.

OP - You could use a fake fb with pictures that are low enough lighting that you reduce your own recognisability and add an air of mystery.

You don't need any friends or a confirmed phone number for anything. Look into paying the $10/month for the upgraded version and you can set your location to wherever you want to be.
