Male Brains Aren't Designed To Listen to Female Voices

An article in the MSM about why men can't always hear women. The truth is something was being said that was worth listen to we would hear it. But this gives us an out, so enjoy.

...there's definitely truth to this claim that guys weren't designed to hear us speak. I had a similar experience at brunch this weekend when I was going on and on to a male friend about something I can't even remember anymore.

Wow. She complains about her male friend not being able to remember what she said when she didn't even bother to remember it herself. Just wow

Male Brains Aren't Designed To Listen to Female Voices

Even our ancient ancestors knew whose voices were more important to listen to.

There is an ancient, over 5000 year old, (meaning even older than the Egyptian pyramids of Giza) temple called "Hypogeum of Hal-Saflieni" on the island of Malta which apparently has rooms which were deliberately built in such a way that you can only hear male voices speaking out loud.

Quote:Quote:

Another chamber, the so-called Oracular room, has a square niche cut into the wall that may have been used so that a priest's voice could echo around the temple. A mysterious quality of this particular room is that a man's voice will powerfully reverberate around the chamber while a woman's voice is all but absorbed by the ancient stones.

What surprised people even more was when they found out that male voices could reverberate throughout the entire complex if the person was standing in a certain spot. But here's the kicker -- the effect only worked if the speaking voice was in the 95 to 120 Hz range, so women's voices don't usually generate the same effect.

I usually prefer listening to female voices - assuming they are pleasant of course, both for speaking and music. In fact a gentle female voice can be a fairly major turn-on for me.
Though for coversation I'm likely to remember at most 20% (goes way up to maybe an admirable 30% if I'm having a conversation with a guy - alright, so I just have a plain bad memory for details in general) and as far as the music goes I generally don't pay much attention to lyrics (in which case most of the music I casually enjoy would probably make me bang my head against a wall) but just the voice and the music.

I've read studies about this in the past. Completely accurate from my experience.

I make sure my girlfriend writes everything on the kitchen calendar because I never listen when she talks.

Practical men, the Maltese. St. Paul wrote that women had to keep silent in the churches. The Maltese fucking built their temples in such a way to shut them the fuck up!

This is the worst part about working with women. I have learned that I must control every conversation with them, including prompts about what to talk about and when to stop talking so there's not so much filler in their words. I am grateful that I work in a small business with no HR department and that my skills relative to others here make me too hard to replace.

I haven't heard it mentioned yet, but doesn't it seem likely that the insane rise in vocal fry among women is an unconscious attempt to mimic the the resonance and gravity of the male voice?

Rambling on about stupid, irrelevant crap is something I've noticed that beta men tend to do. It's like they're trying to mimic women.

Being a good listener just requires the proper motivation...like a Klondike Bar

Most women are tough to listen to even for the 5 seconds required to get the Klondike bar.

But there are exceptions; there are girls I could listen to all day, and they might not be exactly who you'd think. For example, a heavily tattooed and lipsticked white rapper chick who goes by the name of Kreayshawn might not be the first creature that springs to mind in this context, but I could listen to this girl and her stories pretty much all day:

This girl is interesting because she has the rare combination of being extremely feminine, and quite intelligent -- far more intelligent than you might think. She is an exceptionally skilled narrator; don't be fooled by all the interjections of "like" and "blah blah blah" etc which she uses with great intuitive verve and naturalness and feel for narrative flow.

Almost all stories are ruined by being either too tight -- and especially, too tightly self-absorbed and closed off -- or too disjointed and pointless. But Kreay unlike almost any girl knows how to tell a good relaxed story that feels open but still ends up where she wants it to. She has a little bit of a mind, and a great deal of charm and feminine sensibility.

Last but not least, don't let the tats and piercing blind you to how pretty this girl's face is and what an exceptional mouth she has. I could listen to her tales with real absorption and interest for like 2 hours but eventually I'd still want those exquisite brightly lipsticked Oakland lips wrapped around my cock.

I can only sit back, relax, and hear a girl talk uninterrupted if one (or both) of the following scenarios happen:

1. She has a really sexy foreign accent when speaking english

and/or

2. She has a slow, soft, feminine, pleasant and cute (slightly high pitched) tone of voice

There are 2 threads in the travel section discussing this:

Who Has The Sexiest Accent?
thread-6234.html

Why Do Foreign Women Have Softer, Higher-Pitched Voices?
thread-6238.html

However, even if I hear her voice, it doesn't mean that I am listening.
Hearing and listening are 2 different things.

Also unfortunately, many girls who have a nice tone of voice, lose it as they grow older, and her sound gets more and more unpleasant to listen to.
