Most of people think that pornstars are really rich and make lots of money. When i tell people that they only make 1,500 to 2000 dollars they dont believe me, they think they make a lot more money.

Well i also used to think that they made a lot more money but i think who really makes huge profit in this industry is the person behind this inudstry (the main guy).

I have probably looked at an unhealthy amount of porn in my life and continue to do so. I have also (non-seriously) thought about and researched getting into the porn buisness. Basically 90% of male pornstars don't make shit, there are the odd famous ones like (Ron Jeremy), or dudes that are well known and crank out a shit ton of films (Lex Steele), that make pretty decent money. I think I read some where with all of his side hustles Ron Jeremy has been able to make a million dollars (but he's like in his 40's now, famous, and is notoriously frugal/stingy), I also read an interview somewhere where Lex Steele claimed to have cracked the $100,000 a year mark.

Most female pornstars make any where from $500-2,500 a shoot, depending on how new they are to the buisness, their looks, the quality of the company they are shooting for, budget of production, etc. The girl making $500 is probably a crack whore whose shooting for the first time on some really shitty low budget online porn site, the girl making $2,000 will probably be well known (Katja Kassin) and be shooting for a big budget company like Vivid. Girls definitely get paid more to do super hardcore scenes like ass to mouth, gangbangs, etc. So depending on a girls' reputation and how many videos she shoots, a female pornstar can plausibly make any where from $75,000-$200,000 a year. That's not insane big money, but considering that most of these women are incredibly stupid, shallow, and psychologically/emotionally fucked up, and have no other life skills, they are getting paid good money compared to working as a waitress, or in retail, or whatever they fuck they would otherwise do. A great deal of women pornstars also work as expensive escorts on the side, so are basically just straight up prostitutes.

I hate to say it, but most of these girls have severe problems, are addicted to drugs, have serious issues from being raped/molested, and have psychological problems like borderline personality disorder. The more cynical side of me would say they are just fucked up people, dirty filthy whores that are getting paid to do what they would be anyways, and have no real value to contribute to the world other than sucking cock and getting fucked in the ass.

Men in porn on the other hand don't get paid shit compared to the women, pretty much 1/3-1/2 of what the women are getting paid. An article I read that most guys in porn that get "work" regularly are making $30,000-40,000 a year. Guys don't get into porn for the money, they're in it for the sex, which is obvious. I think it's kinda weak in a way, but considering that a lot of these guys are fucking the shit out of hot ass 9's and 10's and getting paid for it, while a lot of guy's are paying for that "privledge", it's understandable. Also, I've heard that a lot of guys who do straight porn, are bi-sexual and do gay porn on the side because it pays way better.

Anyways, I'd never get into the porn thing, as much fun as it would be, you'd definetly deal with some dark side shit, with all the sleazy, fucked up people you'd encounter and deal with. Not to mention the risks of STD, and the fact that, that shit will stay with you till the day you die. No escaping a past of making porn films, and who knows how that could fuck up your life down the line.

LOL, a friend of mine just told me this past weekend that he was in a porn film, in the "Blazed and Confused" series staring Penny Flame. I had actually seen one Blazed and Confused, but it wasn't the one my friend was in. I saw a documentary about the industry. At one point there was a filming delay due to an actor's absence of "wood". The director was pretty frustrated because he was paying a whole crew and cast during the 15-minute delay. The real money is in the tricks they turn. They build a name for themselves and they have a lot of fans who spend a lot of money just so that they can fuck them. I reckon the vast majority do it for two reasons. One is because they want and like the attention, the other because they are looking for fast money and like sex anyway.

There must be a director and assistants, cameramen and sound engineers, and a few more people for props, wardrobe, and roadies.
