Presenting the Best Ear Plugs

These plugs are small, and only reduce volume by 50%. Inside a dark club, they are invisible. They are very comfortable and come with a handy box that easily fits in your pocket. It also helps me keep my hearing sharp throughout the night, and I can make conversations easily.

When you're an NBA star you can get away with it, but otherwise that is the stupidest song and "dance" I've ever seen. It's so stupid to the point of being offensive anyone refers to it as a dance.

I'm not trying to dis you, seriously, more power to you if you can pull it off, but I only see immature ghetto girls wanting to learn that.

Mixx

They play they dougie in any top 40 club or similar out here. White chicks do it, asian chicks, everybody. And if you are a dude and you can do it with some swag, chicks will acknowledge.

Same with all those silly southern-inspired dances: the dougie, stanky leg, jerking and rejecting.

If anything, you rarely have room to do those long-distance foot step dances, because clubs get PACKED. Outside of specific dances like for EDM, salsa, etc, if you can rock a little two-step, you are on your way to being at least decent.

By and large, the hottest girls are in clubs with the most mainstream music. If the club caters to music geeks, chances are the women are less hot, and less in number. That is true for sure here in Socal, and I know it's even worse in Miami right now.

By mainstream music, I mean mainstream techno, house music and electronica, nothing experimental, and mainstream radio rap.

Last time I was in Miami, earlier this year, they played the Dougie in mansion, and I know I heard jerking songs in LIV. You won't hear that stuff played in Space, but you won't find any girls in Space either. Same goes for clubs here in cali.

A basic club dancing checklist would consist of:

-"same two step with a lil twist' as 50 said. Use this when dancing to hip hop songs, RnB and other slower 4-4 beat music
-basic house music shuffle, to use with the mainstream house songs that will be played, especially for earlier in the night before the crowds squeeze away all the room
-basic sway and grind swag, for the rare slow dancing moments or during breakdowns in other genres
-party rock, high energy hop and arm movement bit, to play during soungs by LMFAO and similar acts, or during high energy moments of other genres
-basic latin music moves to go with the pop-salsa songs you will hear in mainstream glitzy venues
-a 'girl twirl' move to go with the above

If you go to SERIOUS dance clubs, and I go to them for the music, you won't find too many girls to impress with your moves. And if you aren't a serious dance student, you will be outclassed in most of those venues too. Plus, it almost seems like serious dance clubs frown upon guys like us coming in there trying to just pickup. they almost have a very asexual vibe, except for partner dance specialties like salsa, swing, etc. I would love a venue list for some of these places in major cities to see if I'm understanding the kind of venues being suggested.

I took swing dancing in college, it was fun, but it's not very sexually charged.

1. The hottest girls are in clubs you don't have access to.
2. Places that play top 40 are mostly full of ugly girls.
3. You own't be using dance floor game to get laid in a place that plays top 40.
4. Dance clubs do not necessarily cater to music geeks. They can, but most of the time they play songs most people know but aren't part of the top 40. Last week at my dance club, or example, they played James Brown in a mix. A good dance club will alternate between popular songs and more experimental ones.
5. Fuck the dougie. No one gives a shit. It's not going to get anyone laid!!!

You've got only one partner dancing move in there. You need lots of partner dancing if you want to reliably pull girls out of the club.

And don't worry about matching the style of the music with your moves; you're the man, you're in charge, so be creative and make new moves for the music.

I don't know what a SERIOUS dance club is, I just know about venues where there are lots of girls dancing. And I always impress girls with my moves.

My suggestion is to keep searching in your city for a better venue, and, once you find this venue, use partner dancing moves with the girls there and go for the kiss.

Dance Floor Game – using music to get laid

Last Saturday I layered Ambitionz as a Ridah over some bassnectar. I was proud of that.

I don't see anything that ever 'impresses' me. People grind, or flop around. Rarely do I ever see anyone dougie correctly.

Dance Floor Game – using music to get laid

Just got home from a small club, one with a small dance floor. Had a good time, but I didn't close. Overall, I don't think these venues are great for a few reasons:

- Girls alternate too quickly between dance and drink. Spitting game can be interrupted with her friend grabbing her to dance. Grinding can be interrupted to head to the sidelines. Loud music is tough to talk over, but not loud enough to make it impossible.
- Cockblock action from her friends. Was thinking it's easier if the girl is lost in dancing. Granted, it's weekend action... so you got a lot of 'amateurs' roving in groups.

1. You can't judge dance floor game from one night out. But I'm glad you had a good time. At the very least when you go to a dance club, even if you don't get any good prospects, you can still have fun.

2. How good are your dancing skills?

If I start dancing with a girl, chances are she'll stick around because she will be having so much fun. Some girls are just sticks in the mud and have shitty personalities, but if a girl is enjoying a dance with you it's not hard to dance with her for at least ten minutes. MOST girls, if they aren't interested, will just turn you down and not dance with you at all. But if they accept your advances and start dancing, the ball is in your court and it's your game to lose.

3. A girl holding her drink? I'll start dancing, she'll be like "Wow" and then I'll take her drink out of her hand and put it down on a table. If she resists, I'll tell her "Put down your drink and then we'll have a REAL dance."

Yeah yeah, I get this all the time.

Tell her, "Just follow my vibe." or "I'll make you look good." or "Relax, this is easy."

She's just following you once you start partner dancing, so she doesn't need to be a good dancer. As I state in the main post, your ideal target lacks any kind of serious dancing experience.

Quote:Quote:

Your target girl is one who isn’t too amazing of a dancer herself, but someone who may have taken a few classes in her lifetime and likes to dance for its own sake. A girl who’s an expert dancer usually will not be impressed if you do not match her preconceived notions of what good dancing is, while a girl with no experience in dancing will be impossible to lead. You want a girl who’s danced enough to follow your moves, as this type of woman is the most seducible. Ideally you want to be able to show her some moves she’s never seen before and create a strong first impression.

To me, this thread is focused on a dance club.

I was just adding my 2 cents on the typical night club, which is really a different type of venue altogether.

At some point, I do want to start an epic thread on Venues for weekEND game to analyze the pros/cons of bars vs. night clubs vs. dance club. What types of personalities/game for each type of place.

Oh, my fault man. I thought you were talking about a dance club.

Good luck with such a thread, it could practically be a dissertation.

I suggest you take a look at this in case you haven't heard of it. Called "Lambazouk" or "Zouk" it's brazilian and derived from the old lambada but the variations are pretty new. I'm taking classes and it's crazy sexy and hot.

http://youtu.be/kimAtqgo1jo

It seems easy but the moves are really complex, more so than salsa (although the basic step is easier). You have to develop a very precise body language to make the chick understand the moves just through the hands and body and they're really great skills for any other type of dancing.

This would be a really hard dance to do with girls who haven't practiced it, which makes it limited in usefulness when it comes to dance clubs.

Still, the dance is very cool, and I saw a few moves in that video I'll be adding to my repertoire.

If you want to hit on more than one girl from that class, make sure you ISOLATE them before making any moves (numbers or kisses).

How sweaty are people in dance clubs? I imagine that with all that dancing, you're going to break a sweat or two. Also, what do you do about sweat and smell? Take a break? Use baby powder? More cologne?

Sometimes I sweat like an ape, but thanks to baking soda there's no smell. I try not to approach girls when really sweaty but I've brought a girl back to her place despite being sweaty. I try to avoid being too sweaty by going outside to cool off once in awhile.

Works great; I do it all the time. You need the space to do it though. But if you have the skills and the space... own that shit!

Like I said in the main post, the pattern to pick up girls on the dance floor is always the same;

solo dancing to get attention,

then partner dancing to build a connection.

I was in a breakin' "crew" back in the 80s' from Bridgeport CT. I can still at 42 pull and will pull windmills and can glide as good as Turbo. I have been looking at youtube to find a "battle" to post here that I was in.
I pulled this shit in Mexico, Norway and Greece ...what do you think happens to you if you can do this outside the US in a club?

I never heard it put so simply, but this is basically what I've been doing for years. It works extremely well as long as your confident and have some basic skills.

I remember I was in argentina rollin with 3 cool french dudes and hit up a dance club. 1 of the three hit the dance floor and started busting out some dance moves solo while the 2 guys just stood around. This being argentina, where most cats don't really dance, this guy drew all kinds of attention from the cuties in the club. Before you knew it girls started coming up to me and this guy, while the other french guys got no play.

Dance Floor Game – using music to get laid

Great post Samseau. Can't believe I have only just spotted this.

The thing with hip hop dancing is that for all intents and purposes, it's an exhibition dance. The roots of hip hop dancing were 70's kids in the boroughs appropriating moves they saw in sci-fi and martiial art movies and re-contextualizing them on to the streets.

As such, particularly for the male dancer, it hasn't got the sexual undertones of say Tango or Salsa. Hence rather then transitioning from solo to partner dancing, it really is a switch in gears.

Will post my experiences and thoughts on dancing when I have some spare time to put all my thoughts into a cohesive whole.

I am no gentleman
