I'm always looking for projects to keep myself busy, and I've been thinking about trying web design.
Does anyone have experience in this, and could point me in the direction of books or tutorials and so on?

html = easy...can learn in 2 days
xhtml = easy can learn in 1 day
css = little tougher but you can learn in a week or two...
javascript - it's extensive...i'm working on that now
php - i'm working on that now
ajax - by the end of fall/winter
get caught up with CSS3 and HTML5...will be the new standards very soon...
