I've worked with police officers who are literally that polite with most people. But even the most patient man has his limit.

However, while most idiots don't take this line of legal-mumbo-jumbo, all police officers do put up with similar types of stupidity on a regular basis.

The most common is, "do you know who I am?" or "I know the mayor/state senator/president/etc!"
