Whats it like to have status?

I have status. Money, some celebrity, whatever.

Losers brag about it and try to leverage it. This means they're basically nothing more than the money and fame they bring to the table. You're hanging with them thinking "you're so cool. Now can we talk about something fun?" Only losers rely on status alone to get girls.

The best way to deal with status is just to be cool. Don't brag about it, don't pretend to be "the man". Let them throw you on a pedestal.

Certainly don't throw money around - let the losers do that.

You don't need status to get girls. I've gotten this too many times: "I was hanging with [kinda sorta celebrity tonight], but he's such a douche. Can I stay at your place tonight?"

Status is also all relative. If you go to the bar next to your house where everyone thinks you're the man, you have just as much "status" as a celebrity. Context.

This.

I am an excellent public speaker (humble brag) and I work in science where most people are terrible public speakers. When I give a talk at a conference, my status increases enormously. All of a sudden, everybody wants to meet me, congratulate me, talk to me... But once I walk out of the conference room, I am invisible again, just like 99% of all men.

Status gives you visibility. It makes people (also girls) approach you, instead of you needing to approach them. But if you are a douchebag or a loser, they will just find it out quicker.
