Just in case anyone wants to get a good look at some of the Trini talent(and hasn't been there at all):

Thank you.

OP, I would've risked an altercation if it meant I would end up with women like this at the end.

Bruv, it's all about location, location, location. I was also cautious about the kidnapping warnings..even from Trini and other islanders..so I wanted to walk good. Remember, I was in SVG before Trinidad and when I told them I was off to Trinidad solo, I got a few raised eyebrows. This is from islanders that have been to Trinidad umpteen times whether for work or uni etc.

Bottom line meant, no blatant chirpsing of a gyal unless I was sure she was solo and the clubs I went to, they were all grouped up. I opened up on a few and kept moving.

Plus, even with the way they flirt and wine, you don't just go there and pull girls that easy (at least not to me). They seemed a bit cliquey from my impression. I tried a few and they didn't bite.

However, me and that country have unfinished business. Next time I go, I will operate better.

Things might be different, if one was to go during Carnival, however...

I totally see where you're coming from, with the being ''cautious'' part. As I have senior family back-and-fourth from the UK to Trinidad. I hear the stories, and some of them explain that Trinidad is now getting just as bad, if not worse than Jamaica.

People getting stabbed with screwdrivers, police getting a can of whoop-ass on them, kidnapping and gangs. However, this will not deter me from demonstrating some ''mad game'' to the many ''coolie-tings'' out there brah.

I got a big cousin and uncle out there, with some Range Rovers/Trucks, so I may be able to get abit more leeway with the travel and acommodation.

I definetely understand what you mean about not taking a ''whign'' for anything serious. I remember when I went Grenada in '05 to a Boatparty off to a nearby island (Carricou) and plenty chicks were whigning up on me, I took it for attraction, but they eventually danced off into the crowed like it was normal.

What pisses me off about the Carib Islands in general, is that grown-men, will be hitting on and sometimes dating/in relationships with jail-baits (young women) with ease. I went with my younger sister in '05 and there were alot of ''cat-calling'' which didn't go unanswered, infact I nearly threw down with a few of them Grenadian boys at the Carnival.

Anyway, I'm going to be at Trinidad Carnival 2012, maybe we can arrange something and cause some chaos together and get those flags in brah.

You don't need to hire a car for Trinidad Carnival! Just stay at the Hyatt, Marriott, Crown Plaza, Hilton, Carlton or any nice central hotel and you can walk and take taxis to all major events from there. Carnival is not cheap and to have the most fun and meet the best women you need to play in a band aka play MAS aka be IN THE CARNIVAL. Costumes for fellas cost around $500 all inclusive (drinks and food all top shelp Monday and Tuesday) this year and good hotels run from $150 per night to $300. To get a feel and all information join this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/carnivaldiary . The best Carnival Bands to play in are Tribe, Fantasy, Yuma Vibe and a few others. I dropped an extensive Trini Data Sheet which is the most comprehensive to date on this forum Port of Spain - Trinidad - Carnival 2011 - Soca, Sun & Trini Bad Girls...Same rules still apply...

Yeah actually i just remembered your datasheet, it was really nice. Definetely top 3 on this forum, if not the best datasheet.

Can you just tell me few things. When you pay that 500 dollars to be in a carnival band, is it included for all the 7 to 10 days carnival? Is this a must ' to pay to be in a carnival band? Because i doubt that the majority of people can afford to be part of those bands..what about the poorer chicks, are they usually part of those expensive bands? I am usually more into hood big booty chicks, also, the classier the environment, the slimmer those chicks will be and they will have more bitch shields and probably wont be whining as much, so im just questioning if it is really worth to be part of those expensive bands.

Also, do public transports run well during the carnival? Because i can get this nice place 25 minutes away from port of spain that is affordable, so im planning to stay there and just go back and forth during the carnival period. I know this will make it harder for me to pull but im more interested in feeling trini carnival experience.

Carnival is actually just two days...Monday & Tuesday so its only good for those days but the Carnival vibe is starting right now with the various band launches and parties surrounding the hype of the Carnival Bands. It picks up full steam around xmas and a week before carnival live outdoor Fetes are popping 24/7. Trust me with all the drinking and wining that goes down you will be DEAD tired from those 48hours of pure debauchert. Before the carnival goes down there are all types of parties before that go on 24/7...Day parties, breakfast parties and night parties. These all cost and are all-inclusive. This is the only way I have done Carnival so I have no other information with the other way. The best looking chicks play Mas hands down, no bitch shields and all English is spoken. It is totally worth It. Go down there and watch from the sidelines and not pay for the Fetes and to play Mas you will be shut out of the main action with hot tail. The majority of the people FIND A WAY to pay to be apart of this. I don't think you guys realize how serious Trini Carnival is to people from and who live there and in the Caribbean It's EVERYTHING to them! Lol at you saying they wont wine as much because they paid for a costume...Wining is what Trinis is all about bruh! Trinidad public Transportation is mostly Maxi-Taxis and Buses. Not sure how they run during carnival since I stay walking distance but go ahead and try it out and let us know how it goes!
