3. Socialistic dumbasses running the state.

Ironically, the third is worse than the previous two combined. Think about that for a second.

Actually, #3 got me the very generous pension resulting in me lying in my aircon apt wasting my life on RVF right now!

I don't think my Union predecessors were dumb AT ALL in establishing a trust fund for us. Just like rich Harvard parents at a higher level were not dumb.

For the love of god, i expected more from the guys here. Remember the year 2000 and the world was going to end, how about swine flu or bird flu which was going to be the next bubonic plague and lets not forget 2012 and the Mayans or Ebola is going to kill us all. Its just fear mongering to keep people distracted from things that really matter.

This is the RVF, half the posts on here talk about the end of the world in some way or another.

Someone should help us all get ready and write up a "Post-Apocalypse Data Sheet" detailing how to game Red Cross workers, wield a machete, and hoard food.

If you are going to impose your will on the world, you must have control over what you believe.

Sensationalism at its finest.

If the New Yorker article actually referred to a peer-reviewed scientific paper or papers, I might take it seriously. As far as I know, based solely on that article, those guys may be the only ones in the world who believe what they do.

If you're not fucking her, someone else is.

First thing anyone will do in this situation is found in Post-Katrina videos and news clippings.

The USA is hit by Hurricanes, massive snow storms and Tornados every year and yet you have people unprepared or vulnerable living in those areas. I sincerely doubt your everyday person could survive the first 48 hours without losing some of their humanity.

Closest you can get to an instantaneous disaster with no semblance of control is a tornado. Now imagine that across hundreds, if not thousands of miles. The authorities will be hopeless.

Are you saying that because you got a very generous pension it is feasible for everyone else to get it as well...?

So you're saying that Seattle, Portland and Vancouver Canada would get wiped off the map? Is there a way that I can aid this earthquake in arriving sooner?

I doubt the earthquake itself will result in mass casualties, and that services will be restored fairly quickly IE less than a week. There is lots more that goes into earthquake damage than size of the quake. Depth of the slip and soil quality is a big factor. For example quakes in CA are worse than those in AK because the faults in CA are near the surface. I don't know about the fault lines in WA and OR though.

Tsunamis is another story. From the '64 earthquake in AK, there were tsunami deaths in both Oregon and Cali. So a big quake in Oregon could cause damage up and down the coast as well as the pacific islands. Alaska is also due for a big quake or two

Easy now...... [Image: icon_razz.gif]

Of course this is big "news" in Vancouver, but the reality is the cities have been quietly upgrading vulnerable infrastructure for at least 15 years. Schools especially have been seismically upgraded under the radar.

These west coast cities will not be wiped off the map and I am sure that the 600 foot wave is BS, maybe 60 feet. And yes the real disaster will be the vulnerable people that can barely scrape a life together when things are good. When shit happens they are going to be the first of this 12,000 to die.

Worst case scenario for me is that road/rail infrastructure in and out of Vancouver is down for more than a month. We are locked, no way in or out on land without the bridges.

I am curious though as to how it will change the geography of the area. To me, this would be the most fascinating part if there is actually any major changes which I doubt.

Ok so I just watched San Andreas and its got me fucked up for two reasons...

#1 is that the Rocks daughters tits absolutely stole the show.
Alexandra Anna Daddario is her name, she is 29 and has the nicest rack I have ever had the pleasure of fapping to. She has a topples scene in True Detective, I highly recomend googling the images

#2 is in the movie they talked about a 9.5 magnitude earthquake in Chile that sent a tsunami across the Pacific ocean over 35 feet in height that caused major damage in Hawaii..... I'm not expert but I'm looking at the world map and if this major earthquake does hit California it seems to have the potential to send a tsunami over to the Philippines where I will be living like a king for awhile, on the Eastern coast of one of the islands... I'm to fly to get taken out by a natural disaster!
