Quito, Ecuador

I'm about to spend 4 weeks in Quito and I was wondering if anyone here could drop any data on the city that might be useful. I've read the stuff Roosh has written about Quito but I'm looking specifically for info that I can use for night game. I'll be looking to go out mostly on weekends since I'll be working rotations during the week, but I may be able to sneak in the odd weekday night as well. What are the best bars/clubs to go to? How approachable are the girls? Is ONS/SNL a possibility? Any specific strategies that seem to work here or things I should keep in mind?

About me: White, very Gringo-looking, 5'8", brown hair, green eyes, fluent in Spanish, intermediate-level game including experience gaming in South America.

Thanks for your help guys, this forum is a truly awesome resource. I'll definitely be writing up a data sheet on Quito after I get back.

i was there a looong time ago and didn't like it that much but any place i mention would have probably changed names multiple times. All i remember is gringolandia, streets not safe to walk, even a few blocks in the main nightlife area. Lots of Germans studying Spanish there. There is a guy who is there now on this forum, can't remember who.

I have always had a good time in Quito. The drill is very simple there. Just head to the "Mariscal" district - which is part of "new Quito" - the modern commercial center. It's a few blocks square and loaded with bars and clubs. Just follow the crowd and join the party. While not the standard of Colombia, there are plenty of hot women and few foreigners. You should be able to approach the best looking women you'll come across, even though the top venues will be filled with rich Ecuadorians. Very easy country to get laid in, at least that has been my experience. If you look like a gringo you should have no problem hooking up. I would set up a profile on LatinAmericanCupid and list your residence as Quito. Tell them that you just moved there indefinitely. If nothing else, this should get you entry into the social scene. I'd also take some weekend trips to Guayaquil using the same approach. I found some hot women there and you'll likely be the only gringo in the club. Quito's also got a very good food scene these days. Lot's of excellent Peruvian resto's are all the rage now. I never had any safety concerns at night. Lot's of pickpockets in the old town, but I don't hang around that part of town.

Awesome, thanks for the tips LostGringo. Are there any differences between gaming Ecuadorians and how you would cold-approach any other Latina? I've observed the start in English-transition to Spanish strategy to work very well for me in South America, in addition to escalating with dancing and going for the fast kiss. Is this a good way to get laid in Quito or have you found another approach to work better?

That pretty much worked for me there, i never spoke in English though, but a lot of people on this board seem to prefer to start off that way. It is extremeley obvious that i'm a gringo, and my spanish was very good so I didn't see the point. Sounds like Mariscal Sucre has gotten safe, good to know. Walking 3 blocks on Reina Victoria at midnight on a friday and there was a good chance you'd meet a dude with blade ten years ago.

I'm staying with a host family about 20 minutes outside of the city and I can't bring girls back to the house. What's the best place to take a chick to bang, do they have sex motels here?

Are you studying in Quito for the summer as well?

*Your best bet is to spend a night at a hostel for probably $7/8 per night (or whatever time you plan to spend there)

I wouldnt recommend a hostel for bringing girls back.

Better off getting a cheap love motel for the night or a few hours.

I only say hostel because I haven't really noticed any cheap motels... Are there any near the Mariscal?

That being said, the one night I stayed in a hostel I had the squeakiest, noisiest bed of my life, and all I was doing was laying still on it...

I'm studying here until the end of the month. Since I've been here, one of the guys in my program has banged a girl in the house my host family lives in and nobody said anything, so my best bet might be to pull girls back to the house. That said, if there are any love motels in the Mariscal area it would be great to know about them (I haven't noticed any). I've seen plenty of hostels around Plaza Foch though, do you think you could just walk in to one of those late at night and count on being able to get a private room?

P.S. great post in the other Quito thread, I'm gonna check out some of those venues you mentioned. I'd add Bungalow to that list, I went there on Wednesday and it was packed with a line going pretty far out the door ($5 cover that comes with a drink).

Thanks, I'm glad someone actually read it! There's certainly a lack of info about Quito and from what I've seen from what there is, it's relatively negative [Image: undecided.gif] I thought I should stand up for the place a bit.

Where's Bungalow at? I'll be sure to go and check it out, that's impressive for a Wednesday night!

I'm here until August, so I've got some more time to explore, but I've got an internship at a hotel (so I have to work W/Th/F night and alllll day Sunday [I'm going from 7am til 8 pm today on about 4 hours of sleep after an intense night] so my chances to get out are Sun/M/T/Sat night [and Sunday night there's nothing to do!])

If bringing girls back to the house works for you, I'd say stick with that--save money for sure, the only problem is that you live 20 minutes from the plaza (that's what you meant right? Quito is a HUGE city! Mitad del mundo is still part of Quito technically...) which could make things hard to manage, but it may work out pretty well if you live to the north (where most students seem to) by El Jardin, el CCI, La Carolina, the huge soccer stadium, airport, etc. because most other people seem to be from that area and it's pretty easy to take a bus (just walk to either Amazonas, dies de agosto, or seis de diciembre, I know Amazonas is a regular bus route but atleast one of the other streets is a trolley system). I'm not sure if you can rent a room late, I know the hostels "close" after a certain time (i.e. unless you have a key you can't get in). There's certainly no harm in asking around though!

Good luck with your studies, it's amazing how easy it is to pick up the language here. Also, thought I should add, last night in NoBar I asked this one girl where she was from only to recieve a crappy response and so I just walked away with a little smile because I really didn't care. A few minutes later the girl was dancing right next to me and kept bumping into me (sometimes more like slamming, it actually hurt a few times hahah) but I didn't feel like dealing with her. Before she could pull anything off, this gorgeous local girl started talking to me (she has green eyes... GREEN. EYES!!) and insisted that I write her # down. Definitely worth the $5, hopefully things go well.

Can't name the cross-streets, but if you're in the main Plaza Foch area walk towards the casino on Reina Vitoria, then turn right when you get there and it's on the right about a block down. Saw a lot of gringos in there but a good number of locals too. I tried going there last night around 11 and it was dead, the guy at the door said it usually picks up around midnight.

Ahh, alright, thanks for the directions, I know exactly where you're referring to--I'll try and check it out soon. I'm planning to go out soon with a group of locals, so I'm excited to learn some badass stuff!

yep, it is. Its more of a quiet place though. A few backpackers around but more of the quiet/just sightseeing types.

If you want to walk into old town to sight see, its just a few blocks away.
They have great eating places around. Some fast food joints with REAL ingredients and not the fake chicken of KFC/mac donalds. There's one small street restaurant which served great meals for just a 1.50 dollar.

I had no problems bringing a girl there twice in the middle of the night. They just let me in without asking questions. Rooms are 7 dollars when alone and 14 when you bring a guest. There are room with their own bathroom but i prefer one with a separate bathroom in case i need to take a shit and don't want to embaress myself when the girl is on the other side of the door. Always hate situations like that. When i have a room with bathroom i usually ask the girl to leave the room for a few minutes while i "do business in the office" I literally say this to the girls. works fine for me.

You should definitly hit up Quito, i had a great time there. went out every night and didnt spend more than 30 to 40 dollars a day(total). Great nightlife !! I would stay there a month at least if i had more time but i only had a week scheduled. I like it a lot more than Lima, a lot cheaper also.
