Haven't seen a thread on this yet, and didn't find it searching thread titles. What is everyone's take on the TPP and the recently approved fast track authority granted to the President by congress?

This law just shows how much the US Government hates it's citizens.
The thing is that people will never know much about it, unless the media shows it. I'll tell you why.
Most people do not have the time, means, or the knowledge to truly understand how this law will affect them, because how people get their information. Looking at the media, how can you expect someone who comes home in time for the news at ten, watching only a few minutes of this before changing the channel so that they can watch a new drama. In order to understand the implications of a new law, we have to be able to read up on it, then we think about how our lives may change because of it.
One VERY important detail we have to remember is that most people will not care; it does not affect them. Since they are comfortable in their places, this law is pretty much not their problem; however, they do not know that politicians won't stop at this, they will continue to write laws that in the end will compound together to make sure that NO one will be able to do what they want. Law makers will start with the lowest denominator: New businesses. What is the percent of people who start a business? It is very small, and most people not thinking ahead to bigger things will never ever see what it will do to the businesses around them.
How can Congress FAST TRACK a law that limits them? That is how we know the agenda of the US: to limit other sectors besides the president.
One thing that I may add, and this is more of a conspiracy theory is that Just as congress fast tracked this law, gay people can get married now. Which has a greater effect on America; the marriage of gays or a potentially world changing law?

Suits, thanks I wish we could search for thread titles at 3 characters. So many acronyms fall into this category.
