First episode was awesome, second one not so much.

As I said - they will be cutting down the nudity and attempting to create serve feminism and the feminine imperative making look the men immature, foolish and paint the women - the married / stable girlfriend ones mind you - as their only salvation.

Also they will tone down the sex and paint the female ideal of the submissive Alpha - typical fuckers that they are.

Yes, shows like this have no problem with casting some women as totally hypergamous sluts...while having female leads who are responsible and dedicated...women that any man would be lucky to have.

I can't think of a single television show where women are consistently properly portrayed as they are.

Shows like this concrete the "not all women are like that" lies.

Not award winning television, but the first season of Blue Mountain State did not ONCE show ANY girl as anything more than a slut. There was one episode that opened with a the shows resident loser dating a girl that was a virgin. Episode ended with her ready, willing, and able to get fucked by every single member of the lacrosse and football team... I'm sure it didn't change the following seasons, but I haven't watched them yet so I can't say for sure.

Quite a few. Here was a decent article that summed up the major points. I don't know how comfortable I'd feel telling someone it's a "must watch", but if you're sick of depictions of girls in televisions as the femme heroes of the world, this is the cure. You'll also wonder how the hell it ran on television for three seasons without a peep from anyone...

I just watched episode 4 and it's confirmed that this show is completely blue pill.

That being said, it's still reasonably entertaining if you're bored and have nothing better to do.

This is coming from someone who recently rewatched the entire Entourage series for the 4th time (couldn't watch 8th season this time around... Don't really like seeing Ari losing). I fucking love this show. It makes me laugh, the music is dope and there if you are """""""""red pill"""""""" you will chuckle at the blue pill stuff.

Basically, I can't TRULY recommend this show to everyone, but if you liked Entourage, you need to be watching this show.

It is pretty good shit. You guy who is stealing the show is Rock's boss. I think the Rock is doing great. But that was to be expected. But as far as all the extra actors go. It's his boss. And he seemed like such a tool in the beginning but he is starting to be a legit guy.

I had to stop watching mid-way through the 3rd episode (the boat scene). To me it's just plain awful. Painful to watch really. There's no chemistry between any of the characters. The Rock's boss is an obvious rip off of Ari Gold from Entourage without any of the charm. I'm not watching anymore.

The show is not very well-written.

There are a number of holes in the storylines, and some of the conflicts have been dragged out for way too long, e.g. Ricky vs. Alonzo.

I will say though that the show is very authentic to Miami.

They film at real Miami locations, no sets, no fake effects to make it seem like Miami.

The last episode they really filmed at Club E11even, even though they went out of their way to not make it obvious that they were there.

Also, the music is on point and the cameos add to the authenticity of the show.

The chick who plays Sammy is a local, a workout friend of mine told me she's from Homestead. I hit him up after I saw her on the show because I've seen her a few times at Equinox, that might be where they found her, along with another girl on the last episode who is a pretty well-known fitness trainer on the beach.

If you really want to see the dimes here, you're better off going to the gyms, not the clubs.

Although the show doesn't look as successful as 'Entourage' I would definitely give it a bit more time to see how things develop.

There are some cracks here and there like the repeated douchebaggery of Vernin's parasitic friend, the complaining wives/girlfriends who try to ''fix'' the lives of their men. However, there are some interesting characters that would make the show better by focusing on them more.

Dwayne Johnson's character the main protagonist a very charismatic, smooth and cocky guy with a good sense of style. He's probably like that in real life as well.

Johnson's finance partner has potential as well. It would be interesting to see how their relationship evolves later on.

Jason is also an interesting character. He is a bit more cocky than his friends and very interesting.

More party scenes with hot chicks and drugs should be included just to spite the people who get easily offended by that. [Image: sleepy.gif]

I am watching this show with low expectations and honestly can't complain. It's not that well written and even the acting is kinda whatever but overall it's a good 30 minute show. It's kind of mindless entertainment that I can watch without worrying that I will get a dose of SJW-ism or some beta male crap. It's a show focused on athletes, there are tits and drugs, and the glamour of Miami which doesn't hurt.

I rather watch this than crap like Big Bang Theory or something.

Edit: The fact that I have already seen some SJWs complain about how women are treated on this show makes me like it even more.

I could complain about the inaccurate depictions of female nature, the bad writing and the bad acting, but instead I'm just going to say...

...this show needs more full on nudity.

That would forgive a lot of sins.

One element that the show captures that I like is the power of technology/social media and the damage it can do. Almost every conflict in the show has an element of that to it. This was absent in playmakers as smartphones and facebook were in their infancy at the time.

It's just entertainment and meant to be sort of out there since few of us are actually professional athletes.

I grade True Detective harder than this show because this show is just to be fun and stupid.

The Rock is carrying the show at this point but the series is already waivering and I'm wondering where it's headed. They need to just focus on his character development and less on his boss (who I agree with Menace is a bit of an Ari Gold ripoff). I do like the antagonist dude who's the bigtime player's best buddy from back in the hood and who just throws constant sh*t at the Rock and causes all sorts of mayhem. They need to keep that going.

I'm with Zelcorpion in that I fear it's going to trend towards "strong, enabled black women taking care of their wayward men" kinda territory which would suck and put a fork in the whole deal.

For now I'll keep watching though. The Rock is just fun to watch and I guess I'm a sucker for NFL/football player-focused TV shows.

I just caught up (I'm on summer vacation - the fuck else am I going to do?).

I like it.

It's stupid fun. I am not a 47-year old fat divorcee who turns to television for guidance and insight because it makes me forget that no one wants to fuck me anymore (and I can also form my own opinions and viewpoints independently - that's what a penis does). I watch TV when there's something good on (Mad Men, Game of Thrones) and to blow off steam with stupid fun (Entourage, Ballers).

Like many have said, I hope and pray that it doesn't slip into season 6-8 Entourage territory - where the already questionable writing took a nosedive and for some reason the boys all end up hitched up to strong, independent 'challenging' women - the point in Entourage's run where I didn't even have to look at the credits to think 'I bet some chick wrote this...'

The Rock is harsh. The Rock is always harsh. He won't win any awards for his acting ever, but he's always a charismatic, likable presence. Rob Corddry has the makings of a GREAT number two but at this point he's trying too hard (he's clearly the Ari). The players are mostly faceless and anonymous, but that's okay.

Also worthy of note that the show gets more viewers than Girls...and to this point, every episode of Ballers has gotten more viewers than every episode Girls...ever (FACT: I've never met ONE person who claims to watch Girls).

Young hotties are partying, drinking and doing drugs, working bullshit fluff jobs 'in branding' and getting fucked by famous guys in club bathrooms.

Fat, neon haired, inked up cat ladies nowhere in sight because they're at home bitching about the misogyny they see on TV.

...Where's the inaccuracy again?

Exactly. It doesn't take itself seriously, so I don't jump all over it.

True Detective takes itself seriously, thus it gets ripped more and justifiably so.

This is just a fuck around show for fun.

Last night sucked. It didn't even hit the stupid but funny low requirement I have.

Maybe HBO is doing this thing where only one of the shows, True Detective or Ballers, can be entertaining on one night. Never both on the same night.

I think this show would work better as a Netflix Original. I think binge-watching it would make for a much more enjoyable experience, as lowlight episodes like these would kind of blend in with the rest of the episodes. Overall, this show is enjoyable to watch, but I don't really like the week between episodes. Not because I'm hanging on my seat to find out what happens next, but because the half-hour chunks aren't particularly satisfying.

As I predicted we are in ever greater feminist times and a bigger budget show like Ballers simply cannot show the truth, let alone Red Pill. They flashed us some boobs and sex scenes, but those scenes feel like bits of meat thrown to the dog in order for him to chew down the feminist/feminine imperative poison.

I simply cannot stand it anymore as I was doing my workout.

1. You see that retired player the first time in his bloody life come to something grand as the FUN HOUSE (great idea by the way, but you need massive passive attraction to pull this off) and all he does is get stoned. Then after his wife comes, he claims that this is not "him" - he just wants her to take care of him. Then she is still pissed and goes off after this display of Omegadom.

2. The Rock displays weakness and "sensitivity" to his all-knowing, smart-assing LTR. It's always fun to see someone like the Rock say that he is fucking scared of an MRI. While it is true that we all have our fears, we all know that sharing those things with a woman is not the way to go. That's what close male friends are for who won't think: "What a Beta! Somehow I feel less of an urge to respect and fuck him now."

3. The successful but sleazy guy at the horse-track confesses that he pursued the hot waitress for an entire year and still cannot fuck her. All the Blue Pill Betas will think: "Gee - you see, even somewhat successful men cannot get laid with hotties if they are sleazy and chauvinistic. I need to be a "good and proper" man.

4. And the fucking worst moment was the conversation at the FUN HOUSE, where they talk about fucking the easy bitches by using your passing high market value (most players won't attract much poon passively after ending their careers). Instead of having fun with it and being a man, he talks about all of this being immature, insecure and selfish!!!!!

This show is the equivalent of putting Darth Vader in a children's carousel and look for a Mrs. Vader to put him straight. I am sure that the mainstream sheisters are going to love that show. Why not have the Rock get a castration in the final episode and put his balls on his nightstand? This is not far off - next The Rock will be playing a brave tranny.
