I too have to commend somebody who is mentally disabled yet can show that much dedication and discipline to attain a goal. There are plenty of women without such a disability who make nothing but excuses as to why they can't or won't lose weight.

Actually it's much more of an issue, because DS is not only a mental handicap - their entire metabolism is severely inferior to any healthy woman. It takes x-times the self-discipline to attain what that girl did. DS people absorb much less nutrients from the same foods, so they require way more supplements and put on fat much much easier. If she can do it, then a 300 pound monster has no excuse whatsoever - even "thyroid conditions" are ridiculous issues compared to DS.
