Managed to mess up two sets yesterday, both told me that I kept sending mixed signals as I couldn't indicate which of the girls I was going after.
First case.
Roll into my favourite bar, a tiny dumb near the city center and it's almost empty (it's always the last stop for everyone, people usually show very late), still the bartender pours me a very generous 4cl of whiskey (more like 17cl), I sit and notice two very cute girls on the dance floor. They are playing deep-house, I like to dance and since the bar is empty I get attention right away. I take my time getting into the music, sipping my drink and slowly make my way towards the set, I open one of them up (situational opener regarding the space on the dance floor and the friend needing coffee to keep up since one of them was sitting for a second). She gets up, joins in and they start to dance with each other but are not shutting me out. I continue making jokes, ask about their relationship status, they play along and say that I have been together since the 7th grade, have it really good in bed. I agree and amplify, suggesting that although they have it good in bed, they probably deal with all sorts of relationship drama during the day, such as having public arguments etc. They laugh and agree saying that they cannot occupy the same space, always get into fights on public transport. At one point one of them asks me to buy them drinks, I say no, however the one who sat says I need get her a coffee as promised. I agree, saying I'm a man of my word, literally take 4 steps and order a cofee for the cuter one. I talk to my friend sitting at the bar, I get the coffee, the girls come over and the cuter one who was sitting kisses me on the cheek and says thanks. My friend joins in as they wait to get served, they get their ciders offer me a sip, I say "no thanks, I'm only drinking something that burns today", they ask about my name and age, when I don't ask them back they start volunteering theirs. To sum up, it was going well. We dance some more, I engage withe cuter one a lot more or at least I think so and since the friend is putting an occasional bitch face on, I throw in some comments and jokes just to defuse the situation. At some point they go out for a smoke and come back with a third acquaintance, saying that they are setting her up for me as a blind date. I regard it as a shit test and start dancing with the third making some small-talk on the way, the other two girls won't leave the dance floor, but when I try to reengage, they completely shut me off and the friend says I'm toxic to them since I can't seem to choose. At this point I eject feeling very perplexed.
Second case
Dance floor, two girls next to me, eye contact with the cuter one, talk with the other friend, they start dancing with me, I take it slow, talk to both of them, as the other friend is closer to me she gets more of my time. Still, I keep my eye on the prize, move to kino the cuter one and only see the convo with the other as anti cockblock later on. At one point they go out for a smoke, I go out as well, they laugh at me since my coat gives me an official look. They say that they have already seen three different persons in me, I ask them to elaborate, they refuse and ask me personal questions, which I try to dodge. When I say that I would still like to hear about the different persons that they saw on the dance floor, one of them lets slip that they can't since I haven't decided which one I'm going for. Again a pickle.
DR, TL: Opened to sets of two, got positive vibe, but apparently couldn't indicate which one I was going for and really fu*ked up. Personally saw the convo with the other one as an anti cockblock.
