How to deal with extreme mental exhaustion

At best you'll be a contractor/freelancer unless you're paying other people to do the work.

That's why I said products man. Build it once, sell it many times.

Consulting/ freelancing / contracting is a very good place to start though. You'll learn marketing and sales and pricing your services highly (well, you should!)

It's an education that lets you step out and get others doing the work for you, and / or create your own products, down the line.

If you're carry excess, then lose it.

For fatigue look in the following levels:

Vit D3, magnesium (I use ionic daily), thyroid, and testosterone. The last two; you really have to understand the nuts 'n' bolts (read up on Amazon) as there's quite a bit of controversy re doctor's interpretation of lab results (plus you need to get the correct tests done).

How to deal with extreme mental exhaustion

I wanted to touch on something I didn't see mentioned here and since you asked "how to deal with..." I'll give you my honest answer. If you combine this with the advice given here I think you will be set.

Sometimes even with high stress situations we fail to realize how strong our mind can be. Imagine how much more your mind could really take if it had to. I'm all for finding a way to improve happiness and health but I learned that sometimes we just need to remind ourselves that we have it easy compared to other people in the world.

Sometimes we need to toughen the fuck up and tell ourselves "this ain't shit". I'm not saying you are whining, it sounds like you are in a high stress place in your life and you are taking steps to change it, which is great. But sometimes we forget how much we can change how we feel with our minds and how easy we have it in modern society and how tough we can be if we need to be
.
Example: I was sick and nauseous on a four hour ride to Budva, MT the other day. I was in the back of the van very cramped, sick and hungry. I just wanted to sleep. I thought back to another time in my life when I was actually, sick, tired, and hungry fighting for my life and it made me feel different. I sat up straight and reminded myself that I'm a man and not a whiney girl. With that mindset the ride through the mountains was more bearable. I've used this mindset in the long-term as well.

I've used this same technique on long runs, hard training, and while I had to spend over a year in the most physically and mentally demanding situation of my life. Now that I think of it I use this method often.

We are men and made to handle tough times. Hope this helps some.

How to deal with extreme mental exhaustion

Update to this thread:

I started using Coconut Oil/MCT oil since I was looking into appetite suppression and intermittent fasting.

I'm not sure why, but they cured my exhaustion. This is the closest thing to a miracle cure that I have experienced besides anti-biotics.

I felt the difference in a few days.

If you are having this problem, start putting a tablespoon of MCT oil (or Coconut Oil if that's all you can find) into you coffee every day after lunch. It's done wonders for me.

My life is far from perfect, but now I can bare it.

I'm not sure why it worked. My pet theory is that the brain is mostly fat after water, and that MCT oil provides it with the nutrition it needs.
