Eastern Europe for the 40+ PUA

In Bulgaria it's common to see guys in their 40s and 50s with girls aged 20-25... but it does require payment, either in cash or in kind (dinners, drinks in clubs, visits to the beauty salon and the mall) - a lot of girls want to look like on TV and party like the stars do on TV but need someone to sponsor this lifestyle.

It's kind of foolish to think you can airdrop in a strange city and have a beautiful young girl fall in love with you... but if you are willing to forget the shit about "I want her to like me for me" and recognize that she will be with you for what you can do for her... then go to any modeling agency in Bulgaria and say you would like a girl to act as your city guide, interpreter, and companion for a week or two, and they'll hook you up for a few hundred $ per day.

Anyone here have any info on Romanian towns besides Bucharest? I'd like to get a feel for the local talent that hasn't been overly exposed to the tourists. I haven't seen any data sheets on second tier cities or towns in Romania, but I'll certainly write one up after my trip.

... funerals are insane, the chicks are so horny, its not even fair, its like fishing with dynamite ... Ma!!! The meat loaf!!!

Not a bad idea. Check these out:

Iasi: 2nd largest city and on the Moldovan border up north, so it's also ethnic Moldovan (read; hot women). No tourists to speak of. University town so it might be a little quiet in June, but the place is known for nightlife. Moldovan capital Chisinau is only an hour or two by bus and has a great party scene and "0" tourists.

Sibiu: Beautiful city in the Transval. Big cafe society/bars/terraces in summer. Expect more tourists.

I really didn't consider Romania too much in my research because of all the mixed reviews of Bucharest. Also I couldn't find a whole lot on the forum regarding 2nd and 3rd tier places in Romania. Any suggestions on where to get more data on the women outside of Bucharest? Any personal experiences maybe?

Little personal experience as most of my stays were in Bucharest. Should be as usual - girls would be easier, but there will be less nightlife options as well. Check Timisoara, Cluj, Iasi.

As for the Ukraine, I'm hoping to get by with memorized basic phrases and a phrase book... maybe an iphone ap.

I don't think it will work. The reason you need the language is that the majority of the girls there still doesn't really speak English. How would it help if you come up with just basic phrases? And iPhone app? You'd need the language to talk to them, not to impress them that you know "hello" in Russian (not to mention nobody in Ukraine would be impressed with that; it is like expecting an American chick to be impressed that you can say "hi").

I can't imagine that people in Ukraine speak worse English than people in Uzbekistan. Yeah people not speaking English in Uzbekistan was a problem, but you definitely could find people (girls) to talk to. I assume Ukraine is similar. I assume that you will be disappointed that a girl you think is cute speaks no English, but then another girl at the bar will speak some English.

I hope to find out the situation in Ukraine first hand. I'm not going to let you guys scare me away.

With Google translate on your iphone you can pretty much have a full conversation with the girl in Russian or Ukrainian.

I should have mentioned that I'm not going to rely solely on a phrasebook, but I'll be trying to learn as much as possible before getting there. That being said, when a gringo shows up in Rio for the first time I teach him the 3 B's in Portuguese... beer, bathroom, blowjob, then make sure he can count to 10. He's not gonna impress anyone on the first night, but he gets gets around!

Thanks for the other tips on Romania, by the way. Looks like Cluj and Timosoara are decent options, but initial reports say that Iasa is ghost town after the Universities get out. I just wish there was more data on this forum. Any tips for day game in Bucharest if I end up there?

I'd speculate they do at the same level. The education still has the same Soviet Union base.

How many locals, percentage-wise, speak English in Uzbekistan? And when you're saying "Uzbekistan", are you talking about Tashkent only, or also places like Bukhara, Samarkand, Kattakurgan?

And by "they speak English", do you mean you can have a reasonable conversation of the same level as you'd do with a Western chick? Thai girls, for example, do speak English - but their vocabulary is so limited that it is hard to have meaningful conversation with most of them (unless, of course, you call "I'm speaking and she is nodding all the time" a conversation).

It would be very useful if you guys posted some info about English speakers in Russian-speaking countries, as this is something I can only make educated guesses about (as I speak Russian there).

You mean, you gonna sit in a bar, type something on your phone, translate it, give it to girl, wait until she types hers back, translate it, look on it?

English competency was pretty much the worst I've ever seen in the 20 or countries I've been to. Worse than Hungary. Worse than Peru. Worse than Thailand. That said, you can find people with excellent English. They are rare but they exist. I distinctly remember talking to a gorgeous girl who worked in a mall. She had applied for a student visa to the USA and was rejected. She spoke excellent English. I remember talking to a nice looking local girl at the bar. She had an amazing body. She was a pro or semi-pro. She had really bad English and I remember thinking what a pity we had such a problem communicating. Overall, my friends and I found enough people who spoke reasonable English. The whole English thing didn't seem like a major obstacle for enjoying the country.

I really dont know what we missed out on by not knowing Uzbek or Russian. Clearly there is a large number of girls there who dont know English. I have no idea how they differ from the girls who spoke English.

In Samarkand, English proficiency was maybe a little worse than Tashkent, but I'm not sure as I was mostly just doing touristy stuff in Samarkand.

I agree it's great to at least know the 200 most used words when you get there, but on my several trips to Russia Ukraine, I found total immersion is a superfast way to learn, probably the fastest.

I also found it interesting as a test of patience and curiousity for the girls I was dealing with (good girls, non-drunks, with intact families and good educations) .

They were willing to sit for long periods, tolerate delays with dictionaries, because they were curious and helpful.

Now of course a dumb party girl wants instant gratification, and to run through all the crap she says every day because she's stupid and doesn't want or need to know anything new. I'm not interested.
I don't want to booze/go to bars, I want a close relationship-- but I do have to be the boss in it.

By the way, when I was in my late 40's, my 20 year old Ukranian GF insisted on having sex for her first time with me.
I tried to talk her out of it. Now that's some serious reverse psychology game.

LIke standing in front of a freight train with a feather.

If it is worse than Thailand, then I'd consider it "they do not really speak English". Now this is my fourth language which I acquired pretty recently, so I can keep it very simple and tolerate a lot of misunderstandings. But if it is worse than in Thailand... I've been there... then there is really no way to game by using the language, as you cannot really have a meaningful conversation long enough to build attraction.

Of course there are always people who speak good English. There are school/university teachers. There are girls who work for foreign companies, in tourist industry or in the foreigner-faced service industry. But there is not a lot of them, and your chance to meet an English teacher who is making minimum wage in an expensive club which caters to foreigners are very slim.

The girls would be the same. What you're missing is availability. Let's say only 1 out of 1,000 girls in Ukraine can speak English on a level which is good enough to maintain a relaxed conversation. This is much harder than most people expect. A typical scenario would be her knowing some basic words, you talking to her, and her brain getting into full speed trying to understand what you are saying and how to properly say her response (try to build attraction this way). Eventually she'll get tired - it is hard for someone who isn't used to it - and will excuse herself from the conversation. This would be the main challenge.
