Dash's Myrtle Beach Data Sheet

Overview

I was there last weekend, as i have been many times since graduating highschool in 2004 and it finally hit me just how NICE this place in regards to nightlife and quality and sheer number of women. Myrtle Beach gets ALOT of tourists or people from out of town. MB is pretty much a mid sized beach town that attracts alot of retirees but at the same time a ton of tourists and young ppl looking to relocate to a more exciting place. It does have a college which helps. (Coastal Carolina).

When to go:

Best time of year to go is during spring break march-april. It gets packed and wild. The place is jumping all summer also. New Years Eve is gets a crowd and is a good time.

Where to stay

If it is springbreak id suggest staying on the strip. So many people will be out on the drag that having a room there will be alot easier. All other times of the year I would suggest getting one of the hotels right around Broadway at the Beach. It makes for easy transition from the club. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn right across the street. Average price.

Daygame Spots

Beach/Main Strip - Obviously weather permitting the beach and main strip is a great place to pickup. Dont confuse N. Myrtle with Myrtle.

Coastal Carolina University - i usually go here during the day and hit up the gym and tennis courts. Always cuties around to talk to.

Coastal Grand Mall - pretty nice mall. def will find some talent here.

Nightlife

The main nightlife hub is a lil compound area surrounded by bars and clubs. This place is called Broadway at the Beach. Never been here and this place not slammed pack full of hotties. There is about 5 main clubs and bars to hit here although there is more, just never went in the other joints. Here is the lowdown of Broadway at the Beach.

Malibus - this is my personal favorite. Good sized dance club playing a great mix of music from hiphop, some rock, reggeaton ect. Huge dance floor in the middle with two bars. One at the front and one at the back. Last week meet a wicked hot grl in med school from Iran! Was looking to get my Persian flag but got cockblocked from her gf from England! I wanted to shoot the British grl, its hard as hell to get an authentic persian flag!

Froggy Bottomz - this is a cougar bar playing live music with alil dance floor in front of the stage. Pulled a 38 yr old lady from Georgia here one night! [Image: smile.gif]

Club Boca - More straight nightclub with alot of laser and ish playing mostly hiphop! Great place to go grind on some freaks.

** These 3 clubs are attached to each other soo $10 gets you entry into all three!

Senor Frogs - this is where you go if you are looking for the 18 yr olds! Dont get there too early bc it is a restaurant until around 11. This place isnt big and gets packed. Has a outside patio area which is good for when you need to escape the loud music and spit some game.

Fat Tuesdays - its right across from Senor Frogs. Go here to get some a huge array of from drinks and flavors.

Revolutions - If your looking to rock out and dance the night away to 80's and 90's music then this is your place. Pretty big with elevated dance floor. Place attracts a more older crowd largely due to the music. Been in here a few times and watch my drunk friends dance around like fools! lol Good spot to scoop up some cougars looking to get down!

So thats all the main spots in Broadway at the Beach. Another good thing about this place is the food you can get right outside the clubs in Celebrity Square.

There use to be a MASSIVE club around the same area called Kryptonite. Big 2 story dance club. Not sure why it closed down. Always felt grls at this venue had more bitch shields. Dont get that vibe at the other spots.

As you know I like to hit up all kinds of nightlife spots. Here is the more genre/people specific spots to satisfy the ppl that like country bars and latin clubs.

The Bowery - This is a pretty famous country club. It is home to the country group Alabama. They have live music and also get singers to perform there throughout the year. Havent been here yet so i cant vouch for the quality. But I assume you can get an easy lay out of this place if it is like other country clubs in South Carolina and North Carolina.

Tequila Empire - Spanish club that i hit up last time i was down in MB. Wasnt alot of people there but maybe that was because me and my friend showed up early to get some drinks and check the venue before going to Broadway at the Beach. This place is very big. Has two sections. One for the older crowd which is more bar'ish and the other side that is a dance club that is pretty big and nice! Really like the set up of the joint. Like i said it was early and I only opened one two set and chatted for alil bit. Saw a nice 5 set of grls accompanied by one guy. They were giving us some IOI's but due to time restraints and it being such a big closed off set i couldnt get myself to penetrate. This place looks like it could be real good if full.

Im not sure about the club scene on the main drag by the beach. Im sure there has to be atleast one or two worth checking out. Also I have heard good things about the strip clubs here. Im not a local soo this isnt a FULL/BULLET proof sheet. But it is pretty much all you need imo.

Dash's Myrtle Beach Data Sheet

Last time I was at Myrtle Beach was like 2003 or 2004. I noticed a lot of summer work/travel students work the pizza places and ice cream parlors. They are a favorite target of mine.
However, usually not easy SNL's. Easiest way to get them is to rent a beach house where you'd go every weekend. I did that at Dewey Beach, DE one summer and banged at least 5-6 exchange students. Once you break a social circle and bring a 24-pack of Miller Lite to their parties, they invite you every weekend from then on, or you can throw parties of your own.

Updated Data Sheet 4/2012:

Overview
I have to say I am a bit disappointed in myrtle although I think I just picked a bad weekend to go. It was a cock fight between the brotha's from NY vs brotha's from North Caroline. The weather wasn’t all the great either. Friday was cloudy during day, cold at night (40’s) Sat was a little warmer but nothing great.

Day game on Ocean was impossible since 1) every other second you would hear gangsta rap music screaming from a car passing by. If a group of girls were walking they would start dancing. Too bad they where super fat and ugly 2) Was packed with brotha’s walking up and down with drawers showing hitting on everything in sight.

Night life on boardwalk is another story. Every club has a super strict dress code, No hats, underwear showing, etc to keep the ghetto crowd away. Friday on the drive 70% ghetto/ 30% Trailer trash. Friday in the club’s was 80% white, 20% Urban with most of them urban crowd being at Malibus. Sat it was 30% ghetto/ 30% Trailer trash on the drive. Why the change you ask?? Well it turns out most of the hotels do week rentals that go from sat-sat so many who drove from NY/NC had to check out.

So strangely enough it was somewhat dead on the strip. Another weird thing was the Sat night crowd was super ugly compared to the Friday night crowd.

One thing the data sheet doesn't mention is renting a car is a must as cabs are somewhat expensive. Cab from boardwalk to my hotel which was about 1 1/4 miles away cost $10 with no traffic. Make sure your hotel has free parking.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

When to go:
I went during Easter weekend and ran into nothing but New York/North Carolina and Ohio'ins.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Where to stay
As above datasheet mentions stay on strip as you can beach game a lot more than Broadway at the Beach game. My hotel was near 21st and N Ocean. I saw girls staying at the breaker so I’d probably pick that as my hotel for a return trip.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where to eat:
Stay away from Boardwalk and strip otherwise prepare to bend over. There’s a good burger joint on 21st near ocean that I recommend.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Daygame Spots
Above datasheet still accurate
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nightlife
Malibus - Friday night was packed, Sat not so much
Froggy Bottomz - Was pretty dead both friday and sat night
Club Boca - Sat night is the night you want to go here
** These 3 clubs are attached to each other soo $10 gets you entry into all three!

Senor Frogs - I didn’t like a few things about this place. 1) Ratio 2) Wide age range of both male/females 3) Girls in hoodies and jeans in groups. I prefer dressed up women as I know they are looking to get down. These girls looked like the just wanted to hang out with friends/family.
Fat Tuesdays - Go for drinks not for game
Revolutions - This was so so both friday and sat night
* New *
Rodeo Bar and grill
This is a new bar from the datasheet. More of a 30+ crowd, more of a attention whore spot though but defiantly worth going into
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Myrtle left me on a sour note, but as I mentioned I think I just picked a bad week to go. I might do another weekend trip in June or August and hope for a better outcome.

Given how Dash's old data sheet probably could be put to question I would advice any new people adding info to just start a new one.

I haven't been there since 1987 when I was 15. I've heard it's changed a lot since then.

Myrtle Beach is the Niagara Falls of beach towns. Tons of tourist trap stuff to do. They have a Ripley's if i recall correctly.

Never stayed, but always visited since the fam would go to one of those beach house islands up north.

Not very expensive either so you get a lot of people from midwest towns visiting.
