Beverage Investment Opportunity

I am looking to raise the second round of funding for my beverage business - I figured I would ask my friends here at RVF.

About me: After graduating college in 2009, I landed a generic job with the federal government near all my college bros. I planned to move my longtime, long-distance GF in with me and start a family. She dumped me in 2011 and my world was shattered. After 3 months of depression, I got into self-help and discovered the forum - I began to learn game, regain my confidence, and also became interested in being self employed.

About a year later, I met a girl in a different city who owned a very small restaurant and had aspirations of starting a line of beverages. Eventually she asked me if I wanted to help her create the brand and I took the leap of faith. The past 2 years have been the most gut-wrenchingly stressful and challenging years of my life, but long story short, we've made it happen.

As to my legitimacy, I'm 27 and have been involved with the forum for about 3 years; I've also written a couple of articles for ROK. I've met a number of forum members, including Roosh. I'm currently in NYC and very easy to find on the internet.

About the business: My beverage targets young professionals, particularly women. For this reason, I am very hesitant to provide details publicly on this forum [Image: confused.gif]. What I can say is that it has gotten a great response, follows many key health trends, and there's currently only one legitimate competitor. We have our own dedicated production line, the best distributor in our category, and an amazing advisory team that has been behind the launch of HUGE brands (they know fucking everyone). We recently got solid reviews on the beverage-equivalent of Consumer Reports, which has caused one of the nation's biggest grocery store chains to contact us about carrying our product, completely unsolicited! We have approximately 300 accounts with many more to come soon.

In our first capital raise last year, we were able to secure $500,000 at an incredibly good valuation. We have had some unforeseen challenges and made some mistakes along the way like any other startup, but the senior members of our team are very excited about what the brand is capable of.

We are seeking to raise another $500,000-$1,000,000. This will primarily be used for marketing, line extension, and expanding our products into new territories.

I met with another forum member at the end of 2012 to discuss investing in our brand for a much smaller capital raise. He was a cool guy, but in reality, we weren't ready for any money at that point, and I extremely happy (for both of our sakes) that it didn't work out.

For guys who are interested or know someone who may be interested in investing, please shoot me a PM. Also, feel free to ask me if you want to hear about my experience so far.

Rollo Tomassi from rationalmale is in that business. But you would have to contact him directly. He might be able to help you out.
