I would have to say Power Windows. Gave thought to The Long Run and Pet Sounds but here is my answer:

Burial - Untrue
It's the best ambient chillout album ever made.

Dwight Yoakam, If There Was A Way. (1990) Best hard country album I've heard. California honkytonk, rockabilly, blues, stax style r&b, bluegrass, tons of twang in spades and sad-but-cool attitude. It's a shame what modern country music as degenerated into.

Never had an explanation
Never had a chance to watch Lazarus rise
Never had a chance to thank him
Never had an explanation
Never had a chance to say goodbye

Lazarus endend his life, ungodly sacrifice, no reason why
Never had a chance to say goodbye

Some great albums mentioned like Sgt Pepper's, Revolver, DSOTM, Who's Next, no-one has offered Beach Boys Pet Sounds which is classic but I'm going with Radiohead's Kid A
There's so much in it and would endure thousands of listens

I agree about Pet Sounds. Any record I have listened to 500+ times earns a consideration for this thread... Add this as a contender, Under the Table and Dreaming:

Great choice there! 80s Rush is my favourite era of the band and that's probably the best album, though picking one favourite from a body of work that also contains Signals, Presto, Moving Pictures and Grace Under Pressure is not easy.
