For your airbnb bookings, did you book private rooms or the full apartments themselves?

I've searched through airbnb and although the latter would be ideal, the options are severely limited, since private rooms are much more available.

If you booked private rooms, did you find your cohabitants easy to get along with, did you still have your privacy, etc.?

Also, totally jealous you went to the clasico. I almost went on a quick decision a few minutes before the game. But everyone at the hotel told me I was playing with my life so I decided otherwise. It was only my first week there, now I'm more likely to go.

We always booked the whole apartment; this is easier and cheaper if two persons are travelling than for you solo.

They told us the same thing beforehand about the clasico, but we went anyways and it wasn't bad, we felt fine, even though the home team Independiente lost 0:1. Of course the Colombians show a lot of emotions, but for example we also saw a lot of women in the stadium.

It's the home stadium of both teams, but they only let in the fans of one team (the one with the home rights) for security reasons. It was a fast and really good match too.

I was really disappointed by the Brasilian soccer leage, btw, the best ones in SA are the Argentinian and the Colombian one.

I thinking online gives u more bangs which is more important in a foreign country. Ya sure, real world u can approach girls which are attracted to u. But they would probably take more effort than online in a foreign country, so it's good to focus online like u did. If u are staying there 2 weeks, probably only need to go to the tourist attractions 1 time. After some initial bangs, then go out to game some more to compliment the existing online ones.
Good strategies with regards to online game.

The main reason I did online was because I had never done it until half a year ago and wanted to immerse myself in it to see what it was all about and what it could do to me. I started at home and continued on this trip, with different platforms.

I wouldn't say "real world" game takes more effort than online game. Especially if you are good, it takes less effort, because you can set yourself apart from the hordes of chodes way more easily in the real world.

Finally, online game can be somewhat of an addiction, in the end you just click away your time. I spent a lot of time on this trip on online game, but that was fine for me. I'm just glad a third of my fucks came from initial real world interactions, taking the higher road, so to speak.

But to each their own.

Very few tourist attractions exist in SA, makes it easier to focus on girls...

Brazil does have a huge white knight problem, I guarantee that you will run into jealous guys; I have had guys screaming at me, knocking over my drink and spilling their drinks over my shirt on purpose.

Makes sense. Never had a chance to game in Rio but visited a couple times. Met a dude speaking to some German gringos as I started speaking Portuguese to the guy. Instead of complimenting or being joyous at the fact that I spoke his language, he responded condescendingly to me in English and ignored my comments.

In Sao Paulo, got a lot of white knighting and pre-mediated cockblocking or just dirty looks on the streets from random dudes. I actually tutor kids in upper level Portuguese at my university...but then again...speaking Portuguese with local young professional dude in Sampa resulted in even more animosity & jealousy.

I think this is more of a tier 1 city problem in Brazil via Sampa/Rio because it's easier to make guy friends who will aid you in tier 2 locales.

In my experience, flakiness is high in Brasil; I would make sure to triple book every single day.

Very important, especially in Rio: give them the feeling that you do not think they are easy. Cariocas are sick of gringos who come to their country for easy pussy. Make sure they don’t get the feeling you are there for PU (which you are…).

Gringos coming to the major cities for PU. Likely the primary cause of this animosity & dudes from white knighting dudes.

I have to 100% disagree with your security assessment. You went to a lot of places so I think maybe you have blended everything together. I can't speak for other places but I have never once in my life felt unsafe in Rio. I have been at 4 pm and 4 am, sober and hammered, taking any taxi I find. Never once have I encountered a problem, and certainly never felt scared. Just use common sense like any other city. Solid datasheet though. Out of curiosity, would you stay in each place longer if you could do it again? The first time I went to Europe I had a schedule similar to yours and it really grinded on me. I felt like I spent more time traveling than enjoying each city I was at.

@Brosemite: Yes, too many gringos going after their chicks might be the reason - then again, I don't have the feeling this behaviour is just towards foreigners. Not sure though.

I basically agree with what you are saying about Rio. We didn't feel unsafe either (but we lived in one of the best parts of town). It's just still good to be a bit cautious in countries like these.

Spend more time: It depends on your overall time frame and budget. For us, two weeks was the best solution; just long enough to get a feeling for the city, take a look at it and go on a lot of dates. Any shorter and it gets difficult to schedule many dates. A week longer and you don't gain many more insights. Two weeks is perfect.

The cities we stayed in for shorter than two weeks we either did for a single tourist attraction (Cusco, Iguazu) or we wanted to take with us as a bonus in a packed schedule (Montevideo, Bogota, Cartagena).

OK, I've been following this nice thread, because I am doing a similar trip, but shorter. 5 days in Colombia (Bogota and Medellin) 5 days in Rio not counting time traveling.

Now, it seems I am having a totally different experience, which demostrate that people percieves or reacts different to places. Here is the deal: I am still in Rio and I like it a lot and in terms of girls, and it seems they react well to me, not like in Colombia ( even though I am spanish native speaker).

For the reference I used the same Tinder profile, the same clothing, logistics, everything the same except for the language. However the results are completely different. For the record:

Lays:

.......... Bogota ...... Rio
Day 1 ......0 ...... 4
Day 2 ......0 ...... 2
Day 3 ......0 .......?
Day 4 ......0 ......?
Day 5 ......0 ......?

Flakes ......5 ......0

So yes, in Bogota and Medellin, zero bangs, the weather and the girls were cold [Image: sad.gif] .., however I found another member of the forum and had some fun together visiting some places. In Rio the lays were actually 3 girls that wanted to repeat not 6 ( they asked, ). Here the weather and the girls were hot.

Description and Tips:

In Rio, I booked an apt in BnB at Ipanema, 2 blocks from the beach. I don't have problems coming with different girls, if you are interested to know which one, send me a PM.

You can get a sim for your cellphone in the book stores that are located in the streets for about 10 reals ($3.25). In my case I am using TIM. With this, you can use UBER of course. Even locals avoid taxis.

Logistics: I had a pipeline and I tell the chicks I only have the apt Wifi, so it is better since I don't know the city that they come to my apt. There I cook something for them, (chicken quesadillas), then instead of doing anything, we go next to the beach and walk 20 minutes or so, and I tell her to leave her stuff at the apt so she HAS to come back later. When we come back, I start escalating, but they are not offering any LMR, so I am NOT doing anyting special, just logistics and trying not to screw it up.

Language:
I am about to finish the 2nd level in Rosetta Stone, however when I started using Tinder days ago, I only text them in portugues, using sometimes translator . When I meet them I use a mix of spanish and portugues.

Food:
Try the pao de queijo, picanha.. Or you can go to a rodizzio, or fijoada if you like beans. There are also things other members like, for example acai na tigela or guarana.

Safety: I don't know where the other member were when they took the taxi to Ipanema, they mentioned that were scared of the places in their way, but we used the freeway and I didn't see anything weird there. In addition and walked all Copacabana and Ipanema with one of the girls (like 1.5 hours at night) and never felt unsafe.

Girls:
Again, I don't understand. People mention that girls here are not likely to do SDL, but in my case allof them did. They were mostly 6 (face) and 7 (body), and one was a beautiful white skin lawyer (7.5, because she got cheeky, otherwise she could be a 9 but this is an exception).
They are also hot. Can't explain why. One of the girls probably suspected I had another date later and demanded me to bang her again, so I had to pretend that I came again and took my condom very quick and went to the bathroom, not giving her enough time to check that it was empty. Another told me she wants to try anal next time. I was like ... good... but wtf?

Night life:
I don't know. This is my second night and there is girl sleeping here. I want to visit Lapa maybe tomorrow.

Game:
People here mentioned that guys in Rio are kind of agresive in terms of cockblocking, aproach and kino. This why girls refer to them as "trogloditas". Therefore I am no agressive. As I mentioned I cook somthing for them and there I start getting compliments, smile, hugs, etc. Or maybe is just that they like my looks, the same ugly face no girl wants to see in my country [Image: sad.gif].

This is why I don't like when people ask the same question over and over again, about which is the country that is poosy paradise, because as you can see it depends of on that particular person

"I had a system of 3-4 dates a day and 2-3 confirmations for each one, plus a couple more tricks in the bag; I might post the details in this thread."

Could you elaborate on that? How long apart do you schedule dates? e.g. if it's an evening date you schedule hottest at 7pm, then another at 8 and 9pm and if the first one shows up you cancel the other two (and if it doesn't show up you have 2 backup plans)? Or you schedule them all at the same time/much further apart?
