Age difference in Asia. What is considered wrong?

I went to a barangay in Davao and met a 15 year old. The family introduced me to her. The odd thing is that she brought up the idea of going to my hotel right away in front of her family while we were all sitting talking in their house and again shortly before my departure for lunch asked to come back with me today. And now she calls me babe. If her family is totally aware and fine, I feel less insecure, but I still should ask here first.

Would it go against the morals to anyone here if I have any intimate relations with her being at age 15 if I am 25? I don't even know if there are different laws in certain countries about it. I know the scale of tolorance for age gap is horendous in Mindanao, but not sure what are the limits.

IMO, it's one of these:

a) if she's a from a very poor family, in which case her family sees that as a way to escape their misery.
b) in addition to a), the family might be setting you up and once you're in the room with the girl, alone, you'll have the cops knock on your door and you'd be faced with either paying a hefty fine to walk out of it or spend considerable time in a Pinoy jail.

I'd say be smart, there are millions of very pretty and even quiet a few that are both pretty and smart and from good families in the Phils that are over the age of 18. Stick to those. Not worth at all the headaches and potential big time troubles it could bring you.

Be careful! Be smart and pass!

Are you seriously asking a forum for this information? What the hell does 'the morals of anyone here' have to do with it?

Ok well they are in a very poor family. It's a very basic house they are in. if anything is wrong, a is probably the only likely. I hear of poor tarting to ask for money after a certain amount of time. So i might want to avoid poor families all together now that I think of it.

So many great (and easy) 18+ year old girls in the Philippines that it is not worth all the headaches and potential huge problems to deal with any girls under 18.

Just find the law dude. From what you've said, about the family introducing you, and her suggesting going back to your hotel, this smacks of a setup. As an example, if she can make it appear that you did anything that violates Republic Act No. 7610, which could be made to have appeared to happen rather easily with someone under 18, they can entrap you.

Please be very careful.

In a remote part of Bohol I met a 16 or 17 year old. My hotel told me not to bring minors. At least in my situation it meant that some locals didn't like it which increases the risk. So I avoided minors.

O ok. But what do you think they are trying to setup for their benefit? What would they expect to gain from such a thing? I understand if they simply want a foreigner that they can depend on, asking for money, but it is confusing as to what they would want that relates to a law. What is it that these peoples do? I am new to Philippines so I never learned about motives of things like that.

Either way, yes I will go and stick to mostly who I find on filipino cupid as opposed to day game.

I was on the bus going to Calinan and a girl from Calinan district sat down next to me when all the other seats were empty. I later found out she was 16 after she gave me her number. This is the second one that showed interest. That was from way back before Christmas holidays though and I decided to leave her alone. A lot of 16 year olds have given me their numbers, but I felt uneasy and have not met them a second time after getting their number. I guess it's a god thing. I have been so disappointed with age when I find out they are under 18 cuz it seems like girls under 18 actually show more interest than those young ones at least 18 years of age. their is a gap between the teenagers and those in their upper 20s and up. Outside this gap, they seem so open to meeting mee and not shy at all, which surprises me with the much younger ones. 18 to lower 20s are shy and don't talk much at all. I don't know why.

Anyone else notice that girls seem less shy towards you when they are teenagers, only to be shy and less open at and just above 18? Kinda annoying if you ask me. I don't want to deal with any minors. I wish the 18 to 21s were as open as the underage ones.

The underage scam is about money. If you take a girl to your hotel and it turns out that she's a minor, then the game is to see how much money can be extracted from you. Probably what happens is that the girl or family has a pre-arranged deal with a cop or someone pretending to be a cop, they will show up and threaten you with jail time for exploitation of minors, and then you'll end up paying a hefty bribe to stay out of trouble.

As to your question about why underage girls can be more aggressive, my theory is that they're just playing grown-up. They are probably just practicing their flirtation game for the future and tend to go a little overboard with it because of a lack of experience and too much naivete about the risks involved.
