I'm disgusted that, in a world where men are basically shit on at every turn, we have men who are willfully scamming their downtrodden brothers through sophistry. These kinds of traitors have a special place in Lucifer's dungeon. Not only do they fuck over poor clueless betas, but they also suck up media attention and give players everywhere a terrible name. Women can easily mock these events, and no serious minded-man will be able to take game seriously if this is his first exposure to it.

Clowns like this capitalize on the instant-gratification stereotype of game. The popular notion--perpetuated by media exposure of high-profile "PUAs"--is that it's a series of manipulations or tricks that you can learn in an "action-packed" weekend and "apply immediately."

Sure, you can make yourself look like a royal douche like these guys and learn some tired-ass acronyms in a weekend. But you can't learn any measure of real game like this. As most guys on this board know, this shit takes years to hone. And if you want air-tight game, it takes--quite literally--daily work, in a variety of different areas of your life.

These guys sell the opposite: the easy route. There will always be charlatans that dilute the product, re-package it, and re-sell it to an unsuspecting audience. Shit's been going on since the time of Socrates. I used to worry that the proliferation of so-called PUAs would saturate the market and aggravate the bottleneck toward the remaining non-fatty hot chicks. Videos like this have made me feel considerably better.

I have see a lot of videos of PUA teaching. Negs is basically for those who start out, notice how those who got yearsmof experience don't use negs a lot. Im talking about Cajun, mystery etc. If you notice when they film the teachers trying to pick up they all say and do the same things. However those who had hidden videos not for the media make their game look more natural, including conversation and some body language. In the 2 seasons "the pick up artist" mystery and matador use the same lines which is a show for tv for those who only want to see PUAs performing.

Because those guys want to sell they promise results in short amount of time toward success which is enough to give them enough social value. By more experience they become more natural

Over the last year I've become good friends with two up and coming commercial dating and pickup coaches, so I got to see and witness a lot of the behind the scenes shit that goes on with them and the PUA scene in general.

I won't say their name (I don't want to seem like I'm dick riding or promoting them), but about 90% of PUA instructors are master marketers and crazy over sellers. Yet, because of their established followings and affiliate networks, it is highly profitable to do business with these guys.


So even if you are good, you have to share the stage with Vince Kelvin. And guess what - to a new, lost, confused guy, someone with more followers and establishment in the seduction industry will have way more appeal than someone who is "new and different". Shit, when I first discovered PUA, i was yelling all the rah rah bullshit on how mystery method was superior to "RSD Style" game, only because i didn't have any experience or know better.


There are two things in particular that catch my attention - Mehow's Infield Insider and pickuptube.net - both are supposed to be examples of "masters" of seduction caught on video. Yet, when looking at the list of people on these sites - do you see any of the names from the "conglomerates" of seduction? Do you see RSD, lovesystems, stylelife, venutian arts, bradP? Absolutely not, because that would be bad for business. As much as i dislike guys like Mehow who put on a gay vibe, oversell numbers and overemphasize routines, at least he has the balls to step up and be filmed. ((My friends were on both of those shows, and both times they took girls home, and I'm about 90% sure that most of those videos are glorified phone numbers(I watched a few infield insider episodes)))



But the best (and also the worst) thing is what happens when these guys reject the bullshit theory and actually do stuff that will get you laid. The first time I went out with these guys, they had a student with them who has previously taken a bootcamp with another company but wasnt getting laid. We watched him - he would approach girls trying to be the funny guy entertaining dancing monkey. the girls would laugh, chat for a bit, the interaction would fizzle, but he would come back to us with a huge shit eating grin on his face. Just that brief validation from these girls was enough for him... my friends had to tell him to his face that he wasted a thousand dollars on something that will get girls to talk to him, but never laid. That night was the first night he tried a riskier and more difficult style of game, more direct, more sexual, with more escalation. He got blown out... hard. In fact the night ended with him at a Diner at 4 am, crying. But the next night he came back, did a bit better, and has now been with a few girls since then and is in a good relationship.

So yeah, that was a non focused rant lol

As others have already noted, you can tell that these guys do a lot of hype, smiling, presenting an image, and adopt a very positive salesman type approach. I guess for their business model, that's what works.

The guys who are much more appealing to me (and much more realistic) are the ones who emphasize how challenging this stuff is to really get good at and how much you have to fail. Don't give young guys a false image of how awesome their life is going to be because you swiped $600 from them in a weekend. Most of the attendees interviewed seemed like awkward dorks that will need more than a 4 day convention and a handful of approaches in one of the local venues they're hitting up. They probably need, first and foremost, to grow a pair of balls and do things to increase their testosterone levels. Even then, some of them probably just can't or won't give up the video games, laziness, and other things that have contributed to their lack of success. It's like when they lie to you in grade school and say that everyone can be President if you just study and work hard enough.
