After the whole UVA rape hoax, I went back and reread Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, after someone pointed out that by today's standards Atticus Finch would now be considered the villain for not believing a woman's story about rape.

Your post reminded me of one of the passages in that book:

Quote:Quote:

One more thing, gentlemen, before I quit. Thomas Jefferson once said that all men are created equal, a phrase that the Yankees and the distaff side of the Executive branch in Washington are fond of hurling at us. There is a tendency in this year of grace, 1935, for certain people to use this phrase out of context, to satisfy all conditions. The most ridiculous example I can think of is that the people who run public education promote the stupid and idle along with the industrious — because all men are created equal, educators will gravely tell you, the children left behind suffer terrible feelings of inferiority. We know all men are not created equal in the sense some people would have us believe — some people are smarter than others, some people have more opportunity because they’re born with it, some men make more money than others, some ladies make better cakes than others — some people are born gifted beyond the normal scope of most men.

But there is one way in this country in which all men are created equal — there is one human institution that makes a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the stupid man the equal of an Einstein, and the ignorant man the equal of any college president. That institution, gentlemen, is a court. It can be the Supreme Court of the United States or the humblest J.P. court in the land, or this honorable court which you serve. Our courts have their faults, as does any human institution, but in this country our courts are the great levelers, and in our courts all men are created equal.

Ironically, by that standard of equality, it's men (and not women) who are getting the short of end of the "equality" stick:

If you're a criminal defendant, it may help—a lot—to be a woman via Michigan Law

Quote:Quote:

After controlling for the arrest offense, criminal history, and other prior characteristics, "men receive 63% longer sentences on average than women do," and "[w]omen are…twice as likely to avoid incarceration if convicted." This gender gap is about six times as large as the racial disparity that Prof. Starr found in another recent paper.

That "all that matters is what's on the inside" (when finding a girlfriend) was a bunch of bullshit.

Quite a bit actually. I'd say that the thing that woke me up more than anything else was playing through a copy of Deus Ex that I discovered free with a soundcard my family had bought. I noticed what it was and quickly hid the disc, playing it without my parent's knowledge(they wouldn't have let a 12 year old play an M-rated game).

If you've played the game then you know that it's designed to play someone in the bluepill mindset like a fiddle. You will be behaving like a thug, all the while patting yourself on the back for being one of the "good guys" stopping the evil terrorists. I fell for it hook line and sinker. One I realized that if I could fall for propaganda as easily as i did while playing the game it made me start questioning how the messages I was seeing on society were engineered and for what purpose. It was like toothpaste.....once its out of the bottle you can either wipe it off or use it, but you can't put it back in the bottle. I chose to use it.

Around middle school I realized that most 5.5s and better are incapable of understanding not every boy thinks they're great.

It's even more pathetic now that I see every day as a fully realized adult. I unprofessionally have a special place in my heart for the boys who treat the few princesses in my classes like shit. "Go ahead and smoke in the bathroom, boys. You put that bitch in her place."

I'm pretty sure you are already familiar, but Fallout 3 gives you an excellent opportunity to alpa the shit out of the game.

That hardship is absolutely necessary to build strength, and that therefore the love of comfort and luxury is a great mollifier which ends up destroying those who succumb to it.

In other words, life is struggle, and withdrawing from the struggle is always a cop-out.

I wouldn't call this a Red Pill view. A viewpoint is not Red Pill merely by virtue of it's being unpleasant - it must also be true.

Yes, envy, jealousy and schadenfreude are rife, but that is distinct from it being "in the nature of things" that everybody is hoping you fail.

Beyond that, most people in the world don't care enough about you to be hoping that you fail, as long as you don't make them look bad.

I knew quite quickly that the men who act are the ones that take all the success.

I also was greatly influenced by a young Philippino friend who was the most social guy in our class. From the ages of 7 to 12 (when he left back for Asia), his house was an open door to kids of all ages, cultures and personalities. He and his lovely mother would welcome you after school for video game challenges, backyard sports and delicious homecooked Philo delicacies.

My red pill thinking was that he would turn into a great man because he innately understood community and looking after his fellow bro.

A little later I learned that not all men are entitled to get what they want for no reason. I was a fixture of our local junior football team for 4 years (7-11yo) until I progressively became more and more unwell (ended up being diagnosed with a chronic illness). Despite this I was pigheaded and wanted to continue to play, despite my ailing performance.

There was nothing really at stake for the coaches, but they made the decision to drop me from the team on the morning of the Under 12s Grand Final game. I despised them for their lack of loyalty. But my energy levels and running ability were destroyed and I was a clear liability.

I think if this was a girls team or the modern era, the entitled youngster would been given a slot if they wanted it. As a sick 11yo I realised that in the world of boys and men, you need to perform and act independently. There isn't always something watching your back and coddling you, as I noticed with similarly aged girls.

I knew from a young age that marriage was bullshit, just based on how awful my parents were to each other all the time. My mom is a gigantic bitch and she made life hell for everyone when we were growing up.

I've had a steady girlfriend for a while now and all my relatives are not so subtly dropping hints at holidays that I should marry her. Yeah, my extended family is so blue pill that they won't have my back on anything. I get along well with all my relatives, but god damn.

I also knew that most women are not interested in any kind of difficult subjects. My science teacher in 7th grade would spend the first half hour of every class talking nonstop about how great her little nephew was (she's a gigantic, frumpy, childless "woman" in her 30's). One day I got tired of listening to her so I stood up and told her to do what she's paid to do and teach the class. All the guys in class laughed and a couple of girls cheered me on as I was sent to the office.

Noticed that the real good looking girls from high school were always trying to get into relationships. Most of them are now married. These girls had the personalities of a door knob. Having a conversation with them was like drinking a hot beer...just left a bad taste in your mouth. They probably realized that they were hollow and worthless on the inside, so they had to compensate with their good looks on the outside. These women were self aware that they would hit the wall in a couple years, so they went on the hunt to find the poor sap to marry.

That's the best game I ever played, so much so I had to give up video games. I was playing it multiple hours a day, once I finished playing I said to myself "fuck I can't piss away my time like this."

That's a little excessive. My few true friends and family want me to suceed.

That said I believe in things like "It's a dog eat dog world" and in survival of the fittest, and see that the chips are stacked against most people in America succeeding who aren't connected.

The take away I get from this is only I can make things happen for myself, because most people don't give a fuck.

For some reason could put up with the fact that I was a cynical asshole in school because I could always make people laugh at the time right time and girls remembered my name.

Guys far nicer (and better looking, I was a pudgy fuck at high school) than I got labeled as creeps while I was way more abrasive and willing to call people out.

In retrospect though I probably could've got a few notches if I just actually propositioned a few gals but alas, young foolish me...

I grew up in the caribbean and in the 3rd grade (I was about 9 years old). I remember the minister of education / agriculture visited my class room (can't remember which one was it) and he asked the class something and I remember i told him, that the teacher treated the girls better than she did the boys. I guess even at that age i realized that girls have it easier and people will give them an easier time. One of the many experiences i had where i saw from an early age (think 9, 10, 11) where women had it much much easier.

When I was in middle school, I remember making a comment about why the boys teams don't get pep rallies but all of the girls teams do?

Apparently I wasn't the only one. The 4'7 troll of a principle we had began scolding us for having such a thought. We regularly called our teachers sexist.

- Creating jealousy in girls gave me an advantage. Saw my first vagina in this way.

- By doing gross or dangerous things I could gain their undivided attention.

- They loved to be walked home

- They instinctively like to care for others. As kids the girls would often hang around until one of us got hurt, then they would doctor us up.

1.) I dunno know if it's red pill or not, but I knew at about 5 or 6 I wanted to get married and began evaluating the girls in my class on who would be an appropriate wife material. I decided on the two nicest, most feminine AND prettiest girls in the class to me at the time. Maybe that's beta. [Image: wink.gif]

2.) That my height (5'7") was an obstacle to getting girls around 13 or 14 when I quit growing.

3.) That I had to put muscle on my frame to get people's respect at 8. Arnold Schwarzenegger was/is my hero.

4.) I needed a good job to attract a good wife.

When I heard about older couples talking about growing old together, I cringed. I could never understand the allure of banging out an old woman.

I always knew that unlike guys, women are attracted to status, wealth and power.

In the places i grew up, this was a rule of law and NOBODY said otherwise.

Many women openly admit this, so I suppose the red pill aspect is knowing it applies to all women.

The look on my girlfriends face when I told her I'm buying a house next year, plus when she realised most men my age don't earn what I do...

Sure there's more to her than that, but she's still a woman.
