I think the point of this article is that women raised since the advent of the birth control pill, those who were told to pursue degrees and careers, are realizing this (In fact, If you read the article, she holds feminism accountable for playing a role)
I think this article is a sign that a whole generation of women are coming to the conclusion that they were not told the truth, and are personally suffering for it.
She points out that sex ed is all about teaching kids how not to get pregnant, and that it should also include teaching girls the truth of fertility, and what those careers and degrees cost in the long run.
I think there is a real sense of being mislead, rather than just ignoring it. I mean, everything you hear in the media, everything they have been taught today pushes women toward believing they can have it all, and the is finally willing to admit it was a lie.
Now, will most younger women listen? Ehhhh... do young people EVER listen?
