I matched Ann on Tinder late 2013, I have her on Facebook. She's a Filipino model living in London and wanted to meet up but I thought she looked quite average in most of her pics.

She seems to live in expensive areas and drink at nice bars but I know girls like her don't make money themselves so I wonder where she gets it from.

I vouch for Tinder pre-2014. It's a swamp now. There will always be something to replace yesterday's model because hot girls always leave once the fatties come streaming in and then wait for the next New thing.

You send a person a "charm" to put yourself at the front of the queue, so to speak. For girls it's free, but guys have to spend 1 "credit" to do so.

No doubt the app creators have decided to monetize male thirst, and throw in a little pussy pedestalization while they're at it

Aside from better girls currently..

- It uses you location much more specifically, tells you when you have 'crossed paths' with another user who fits your criteria (age/sex) and of course only if you fit theirs. (I think i read somewhere on the Happn twitter that that in theory means when you have been within 1km of someone at some point... but in a city at least it appears most girls you're shown will have been within 250m of your path. Many of mine are on the same street as i live or exactly where i have been).
- It also tells you how often you have 'crossed paths' and keeps updating it each time you do.
- It even shows you a mini map of where it was you 'crossed paths' which is pretty gnarly. The app is a stalkers paradise.

Otherwise, it's pretty similar. Except the messaging system (just like Tinder used to be) is unreliable.. i'd suggest you recheck your messages have sent after a quick restart of the app. Learned the hard way and nearly missed the best chick i've hooked up with off there. (100% looking to make her a main!)
But other than that we all know by message 4 we should be forcing a move to whatsapp, so no big deal really..

Obviously how it works exactly, in terms of how often it updates your location and cross references it i don't know and i suspect that's proprietary info.
All my 'crosses' appear to be at locations i have been roughly stationary for half an hour or more. Clearly it isn't keeping a full track of your path throughout the day but updating your location sporadically and using those points as a reference.
I haven't noticed it yet but i assume its a battery killer as the GPS kicks in far more often than Tinder which i believe only does every time you shut down the app. I may be wrong.

I tried installing this and when I go to log in during facebook, it pulls open facebook then I get an error saying I couldn't log in and to check my internet connection. Obviously the internet is working, and I can't figure out how to get it to log in. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it. Any ideas?

I tried this out over the weekend and didn't have any luck. I didn't hit up many female heavy places and I'm in a city where it took until this year for Tinder to gain critical mass. Is it me or does this app destroy your battery life? My GPS icon was on constantly after I installed the app.

I am currently using it here mid-town NY and i've got to say the quality of girls blows Tinder out the water. i really want to know how/why all the hot girls are first to the new dating apps. Get on it now guys before it gets overrun by the uglies.

Only suggestion i have is that when you first connect it to your Facebook it asks you which bits you want to allow it to access (friends list etc etc). I tried to untick all but the 'required' one and had the same issue/error message as you.
I deleted a few times both on the phone and on my Facebook (settings:app:delete the Happn one) and nothing worked.
I then deleted on both again, and when connecting the app after install to my Facebook i left all the options ticked and it worked fine.
May have been a fluke?

Same problem for me. Probably something to do with the fact that I unchecked a lot of the things they wanted me to share when I was originally given the option.

Have uninstalled it 2x but didn't work so giving up for now...

I had the problem when I first got the app. figured it was from shitty cell service. I tried it again a few hours later and it worked. Maybe try waiting or turning your phone off and on.

Also, pretty convinced as of now that I'm the only person in my city of 120k that has the app. Been out an about a lot and live right about on of the busiest bars in the city and I haven't got a single crossed path.

Yeah I figured it out. Like me you all unticked everything except what was required, which for whatever reason does not make it work. Go into your facebook and delete Happn from the list of apps. Then start happn, and it will give you the option of what to tick again - leave it all there and then it should work.

Does it have to be working 3g when you cross paths with someone? I can't get 3g to work on my iphone I just use wifi at my apartment for apps.

I've gotten a few hits but no matches yet...they all seem to be from a couple nights ago when I drove out to a movie theater using GPS. I normally don't keep my GPS on, my theory is it'll only match if you're moving around on foot and have your GPS turned on.

Ok, got it to work. Just press the refresh button if no one is showing up.

The concept of the app is cool. But right now it's a mess. Can't add pictures. Hopefully they fix the bugs. Props for actually calling this app what it is: a beta version. Lots of developers will just push out a half baked concept and call it the finished version.

* Not population dense therefore fails the numbers requirement in my area.

I have had seven crushes but none of my charms have been returned. I've received no charms.
