Dating for International Cuisine Purposes?

If you were to specifically date a chick because of her native cuisine, what kind of chick would you go after?

As much as I love Middle Eastern Chicks, I couldn't be doing the Kebabs and Hummus for life.
And all of Russia and the FSU is ruled out. (Actually most of Europe gets the Axe)

And having dated a lot of Creole Girls, Crazy >>>>>>>>> Food.
Black American get ruled out for me, (but Caribbeans jump into the top tier)

I"m not sure what i'd do.

I hear a good British girl will microwave your frozen fish fingers every day for you.

I'm actually West Indian.

Callaloo > Collard Greens
Escoveitch Fish > Fried Fish
Rice and Peas > Red Beans and Rice
Porridge > Grits
Our Oxtail >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Their Oxtail
Ham Hocks, Hog Maws, Jowls, Pig's Feet = disgusting

I'll give em Sweet Potato Pie, Fried Chicken with or w/o waffles, and Cornbread.

And there's a ton of of overlap with Soul Food, "Comfort food", and Southern food. But I could still live w/o Chicken Fried Steak.

My vote goes for Thai, Vietnamese, or Filipino.

You might be scratching your head at the Filipino...I've never been to Phils or eaten the food in restaurants, which I hear is awful, but I've had several Filipino girls cook for me and it's been uniformly delicious. Always a pretty distinct gap between restaurant cooking and home cooking.

Had a couple Viet girls cook for me too and I love the clean and light flavors.

Never had a Thai girl cook for me but the rest of it is goddamn delicious so I imagine it's up there.

I've tried, REALLY tried to like Korean food and I just can't get into it. I like some of it but for the most part it's just too much of a blast to my taste buds. It's fine for bar food but the home cooking can be awful. They also have a weird influence of WWII American staples like barbecue sauce and spaghetti with cream sauce, grilled burger patties with gravy on top. Blech, no thanks.

Had a couple Japanese girls cook for me. Japanese home cooking can be weird. Like Korean food. Little candied fish and weird shit like grated mountain yam. I like the simpler Japanese dishes like simmered fish and vegetables in a light broth.

Mexican home cooking is delicious but you wouldn't want to live on it. There's a reason those people are some of the fattest in the world.

Ditto on the Colombian cooking. Way too carb centric. The occasional arepa is good but to eat that stuff constantly is too much. They've got nice fish stews.

A lot of young people in Spain, France, and Italy can't cook worth shit, to the dismay of their grandparents.

My grandparents raised my dad in Turkey and they picked up a lot of the local cuisine; I grew up on a lot of Turkish dishes and it's delicious. Seems like the gaming in Turkey is a bitch but if you could land a traditional girl that could cook you'd probably be pretty happy with what she puts in front of you.

I've never dated a Viet chick.

I think i've dated a Pinay chick, but she might just been a closet Mexican. I've had a good amount of Filipino homecooking and some restaurant food. It's "aight".

South East Asia chicks based on cuisine - Viet, Thai, and Malaysian.

I love Korean food, not so much Korean chicks. And real Korean, not restaurant Korean, is pretty diverse. Agreed on the American influence, I don't like that stuff here.

I'm so so on Japanese food, but I like J-Girls.

And dated plenty of Mexican chicks, and had posole, menudo, and all sorts of nice stuff. I'd have to date a Mexican chick from a different part of Mexico to be honest.

I probably like Colombian, Brazilian, and Domincan chicks the most - but food wise, outside of mofongo and lechon, I'm not excited about any of it.

A chick who could rock some Florentine cuisine would be lovely, I just never saw any cute chicks in Italy. (I went when it was cold though, and mostly tourist places)

Roosh recently went to Turkey and didn't find running game there to be too fruitful.

I dated an Indian chick who was a decent cook. The secret to her cooking was indiscriminate use of spices.

Knowing that, my curries taste amazing.

China is a big ass place though. There's like 4 grand cuisines, 8 family cuisines, and then a billion people in a country with lots of different terrain and food.

I don't know what the women from Xi'An look like, but I could rock with that.
Same with Chengdu.

WIA I travelled pretty extensively through Tuscany and I brought up the lack of hot girls to a few local dudes I met. From what I gather the girls have a reputation as being dogs. Lots of mannish features. Campania/Naples is supposed to be way better.

In that part of Italy you're better off on cities that attract an international crowd, there's a place called Punta Ala that throws huge parties that attracts hotties from all over, and I also saw lots of great talent in Pisa that were visiting from all over Europe.

Thai, Indian, Lao, Japanese, Vietnamese.

If we're ignoring the current culture and assuming the girl can actually cook, add French, Spanish, and Italian.

Uzbeki cuisine, as well as the women, are both highly underrated. It's very popular in Russia but not so much in the West. It's also a meaty and fat-heavy cuisine, which I personally like. Some of my favorite dishes:

лагман (lagman - noodle broth with meat and veggies)

узбекский плов (Uzbeki pilaf - brown rice, onions, carrots, garlic and usually accompanied by lamb. Cooked anywhere from 5-8 hours to develop the amazing flavor)

манты (lamb dumplings, think Italian ravioli but twice the size and a meat filling (he))

So look for one of these and ask her to cook you up a decent meal [Image: smile.gif]

I agree. My dad is a super talented cook...but he usually makes a lot of funny tasteless shit for himself to eat even though the really delicious crap isn't too hard or expensive to make.

Speaking of which, I don't really like Chinese or Vietnamese hot pot that much. Thai hot pot I like. There are so many better things to eat via Chinese/Viet food...yet they pedestalize hot pot so damn much even though the taste = meh

There is some truth in this. While Chinese food (all forms) can be delicious, the average Chinese person does not cook anything like what you can eat in your average restaurant.

They generally tasteless food or unimpressive attempts at the type of stuff that you can eat in restaurants.

There is a key reason for this. Chinese are hopelessly cheap and spend as little as possible on food...until they splurge.

There have been notable exceptions, however.

Chinese girls in the f***able age range, however, rarely know how to cook anything.

This goes for Mexicans as well. Standard Mexican home cooking, from my experience with immigrants, is fairly bland chicken, rice, beans, and tortillas. All the good dishes you get at restaurants are either punched up for the American appetite for delicious meat, or special occasion foods. That said, I'd really like to get a hold of a Mexican chick that knows how to do good Mexican food, since when I try it never seems to come out authentic tasting.

My last "boss" in the US had won a James Beard award within the last five years, and I would put plenty of food that I eat here in the Phils at or above most of what his restaurant served. I say that 50% because I think Pinoy food gets a bad rap, and 50% because I think most of the food served their was extremely overpriced and overrated.

People will say Filipino food is bland or unhealthy, yet so is plenty of the food in the Southeastern US (someone recently called Pinoy food "Soul food with a SEA twist", which I'd agree with), especially to someone who didn't grow up on it. Shrimp and grits is the definition of bland unless you coat it in spices and butter.

Also, most people that come here don't actually give the food a chance or try some of the better restaurants. I got in an argument in the travel section with a guy who's evidence that Pinoy food sucked was hamburgers [Image: tard.gif]

I've been to spots that are on par or better than the majority of places in the US, from the food to the overall atmosphere, decor, plate presentation, etc. In terms of chains, places like Hukad and Gerry's Grill are way better than fucking Applebee's, Olive Garden, etc.

That being said, there are a lot of things I don't like about the food scene here (lack of variety is at the top of the list) and they also do a lot of the weird or Western things you harp on the rest of East Asia for. They love spaghetti, barbecue, carbonara, etc.

But the homecooking is good, and I dated a chick who had recently graduated from culinary school who used to make all kinds of delicious shit. Her omelettes blew away any of the ones I'd tried in restaurants across Charleston, that people line up down the street for. Unfortunately she was bat shit crazy [Image: lol.gif]

As for the cuisine I'd date a chick for, that'd be tough. I wouldn't want to eat any one kind of food every day and would prefer a girl with a well-balanced repertoire in the kitchen, but I don't think that's what the question is asking.

So I'd probably say Mexican. Again, not something I'd want to eat everyday, but Mexican and Southwest food would be my go-to if I had to choose. I don't really think it's inherently unhealthy either, if you teach the girl right. I fucking love fresh salsa and guacamole.

Moroccan a close 2nd (Couscous & Mint Tea "Moroccan Whiskey")

Strange as it is, I'd probably go with "American".

Grilled/baked chicken, salads, burgers, steaks, etc.
Dunno, if I were to eat something day in, day out, I think I'd enjoy this more.

I spent a month in Japan. I absolutely love Japanese food but I got sick of it so fast when I was actually there. I think other cuisines, I'd probably hit a similar wall even though I like to eat ethnic foods.

Damn, I didn't even think of that. American food is actually the most diverse, since it's such a large country with influences from multiple cultures.

It's hard to nail down exactly what American food is, but a typical American chick that can cook will make our bastardized versions of every cuisine

American chicks have made for me
- enchiladas
- stir fry
- bomb ass lasagna
- mussels et frites
- fried chicken (which I guess is homegrown)
- plantains/maduros
- burgers, steaks. sausage, hot dogs,

It's different though. In a lot of cases it's from a cookbook, it's not from being next to the stove with Mom, Auntie, and Grannie.
