A large investment means its less likely to 'X-files'
It is happening again - Twin Peaks back in 2016
Get hyped...
Thread title made me think of this chain of breastaurants:
25 years...
And that really spins my mind. In original series Laura said this thing about "I will see you again in 25 years" and this sequel is obviously going to happen 25 years later. But what I am interested in, did Lynch really planned it 25 years ago or these "25 years" was just a phrase.
Also I really want see the answer will Cooper get out of Lodge.

Disappointed my namesake won't be in the new season.
He died, hasn't he in the Lodge, by the BOB?

Hasn't stopped them casting Sheryl Lee again.
Also conspicuous by her absence is Heather Graham, who played Annie (Agent Earle's last victim, and from memory who survived due to Coop rescuing her from the Lodge).
Remissas, discite, vivet.
God save us from people who mean well. -storm
Yes, you are right, she survived but she isn't here. Too bad that movie was awful, she was in the movie.
I loved the original Twin Peaks. Obscure, metaphor, allusion heavy series' like The leftovers, True Detective and Hannibal I gobble right up. TP was the grand daddy of them all... But I doubt if this new season will add anything to its greatness. The second season didn't age well after the reveal of Laura Palmer's murderer and I just feel there's nowhere to go with the story.
So many series out there today that would have been great if they knew when to stop. Lost and Dexter are prime examples.

^Lynch had pressure to reveal the killer early, which he regrets greatly. It obviously affected the quality of the second season in a big way.
I have high hopes that season 3 will be done right, appealing to die hard fans and winning new ones alike.

Due to air May 21.
It's coming back in style.
Something to remember
How's Annie?
I wonder how long it will need for Dale to come out from you know where. Also, on imdb, it says today there will be 4 episodes, on wikipedia it says we will see 2 today, why such a mix up I don't know.
^ 2 episodes today, as well as next week. Then it's one episode every week.
Disappointed that you have to subscribe to Showtime to watch it. Apparently. Any word on whether they'll make the episodes on-demand for non-subscribers?
I suppose I could stop being a cheapskate and just shell out the $9 a month through September.

Am I going to hell because I don't care for this show?
I'm the King of Beijing!
That was exactly the same thing I was going to write haha
Watched the first episode. It was intense as fuck. Storytelling is typical Lynch, various small "episodes" combined into almost two hour long season premiere.
Very interesting characters are introduced and I think occult will play heavy role this season, unlike the first two where it was a mechanism (even though introduced early) that played major role only near the end.
Glass box theories anyone?
